Claims (4)
- 内燃機関のクランク軸の回転に対応する所定角度間隔毎のパルス列よりなり且つその途中にパルス幅の異なる少なくとも2種類の基準位置を有したクランク角信号を発生するクランク角信号発生手段と、
内燃機関のカム軸の回転に応じて各気筒の所定角度位置に対応したパルスよりなるカム角信号を発生するカム角信号発生手段と、
前記クランク角信号のパルス間隔に基づいて前記基準位置を検出する基準位置検出手段と、
前記基準位置検出手段による基準位置の検出結果と基準位置付近の所定区間内における前記カム角信号のパルスの有無とからクランク角位置を判別する第1の判別手段と、
該第1の判別手段による判別の後次に検出される基準位置の種類によりクランク角位置を再度判別する第2の判別手段と、
を備えたことを特徴とする内燃機関のクランク角判別装置。 - 前記内燃機関は、同一のクランク軸に対し奇数個の気筒を設けた奇数気筒4サイクル内燃機関である請求項1に記載の内燃機関のクランク角判別装置。
- 前記第2の判別手段によりクランク角位置が判別された後、前記第1の判別手段によるクランク角判別のみを継続し、当該クランク角判別が異常となった場合、前記第1の判別手段及び前記第2の判別手段によるクランク角判別を実施する請求項1又は2に記載の内燃機関のクランク角判別装置。
- 前記第1の判別手段によりクランク角位置が判別された時点で内燃機関への燃料噴射を許可し、前記第2の判別手段によりクランク角位置が判別された時点で点火を許可する請求項1乃至3の何れかに記載の内燃機関のクランク角判別装置。
