In particular, this active moiety contains at least 50% carnosic acid, 20-35% carnosol, about 5-15% methoxycarnosic acid, and also contains small amounts of rosmanol, rosmarinic acid, and rosmaridiphenol. . As used herein, the term “rosemary extract” does not refer to the rosemary extract itself, but is synthesized from a raw material other than rosemary or other than rosemary, or obtained from a natural source. It also includes a composition obtained by adding individual active ingredients as mentioned above alone or in combination to an amount corresponding to the amount described in the section of use of rosemary extract.
