Description
混合することにより上記流れ媒体が形成される2つの副流(61)と副流(62)を所定の角度で混合することにより、又は渦巻素子(20)により上記流れ媒体に回転を発生させる工程、
反応管(1)のフリーラジカル開始剤の給送点(72)又は給送点(81)の上流位置にて、上記副流又は上記流れ媒体の流入口ゾーンを有する横断面絞りを予め設ける工程、
フリーラジカル開始剤を、流出口オリフィス(44)を介して上記回転が生じた流れ媒体に導入する工程、及び
前記流出口オリフィス(44)から下流側に、上記流れ媒体と上記フリーラジカル開始剤とを混合する、横断面の幅拡大が可能な混合領域を設ける工程を行うことを特徴とする製造方法によって達成されることを見出した。

Claims (21)
- 管型反応器において又は管型反応器とオートクレーブとの組合せにおいて、フリーラジカル開始剤を、エチレン及び必要によりコモノマーを含む流れ媒体に導入し、ポリエチレンを製造する方法であって、少なくとも下記の工程:
混合することにより前記流れ媒体が形成される2つの副流(61)と副流(62)を所定の角度で混合することにより、又は渦巻素子(20)により前記流れ媒体に回転を発生させる工程、
反応管(1)のフリーラジカル開始剤の給送点(72)又は給送点(81)の上流位置にて、前記副流又は前記流れ媒体の流入口ゾーンを有する横断面絞りを予め設ける工程、
フリーラジカル開始剤を、流出口オリフィス(44)を介して前記回転が生じた流れ媒体に導入する工程、及び
前記流出口オリフィス(44)から下流側に、前記流れ媒体と前記フリーラジカル開始剤とを混合する、横断面の幅拡大が可能な混合区域(14)を設ける工程を行うことを特徴とする製造方法。 - 流出口オリフィス(44)は、給送フィンガー(40)の先端(41)に設けられた、中心から外れた流出口オリフィスであり、且つ流出口オリフィス(44)は、給送フィンガー(40)の軸に対して0〜180°の角度で傾いていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記各工程が実施可能に構成された、複数の反応管(1)が直列に接続され、前記フリーラジカル開始剤と前記流れ流体媒体とが通過する、これらの混合区域(14)には、混合区域(14)に冷却ガスを混合可能とする冷却ガス流入ライン(17a)がそれぞれ備えられている請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記各工程が実施可能に構成された反応管(1)に、冷却機能を有する冷却壁(18)と、混合区域(14)に冷却ガスを混合可能とする冷却ガス流入ライン(17a)、(17b)とを設け、反応管(1)内で発生する反応熱が、冷却壁(18)と、冷却ガス流入ライン(17a)、(17b)とを使用して除去される請求項1〜3の何れかに記載の方法。
- 前記各工程が実施可能に構成された反応管(1)が使用され、且つフリーラジカル開始剤を、給送点(72)又は給送点(81)の使用に代えて、キャリアガス、冷却ガスの主流(17a)又は圧縮前に分岐している流れ媒体の冷却副流により、注入領域(11)に給送する請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の方法。
- フリーラジカル開始剤の給送点(72)又は給送点(81)が、前記流れ媒体に回転を分け与える地点の下流に設置される請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の方法。
- フリーラジカル開始剤が、流出口オリフィス(44)から前記回転が生じた流れ媒体に注入される深さが、流出口オリフィス44の角度及び断面積の関数として調節される請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記副流(61)と副流(62)の給送方向が、相互に45〜135°の角度にある請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 副流(61)と副流(62)が、それぞれ横断面絞り(63)及び横断面絞り(67)を通過し、その後前記副流(61)と副流(62)が合流する請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記副流(61)と副流(62)とが前記混合されて前記回転が生じた流れ媒体が、環状空間(68)の下流の横断面絞り(71)を通過し、その後フリーラジカル開始剤用給送点(72)に到達する請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の方法。
- フリーラジカル開始剤を、回転流れ媒体(70)の剪断ギャップ(73)に給送点(72)から給送する請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の方法。
- 前記反応管(1)の前記給送点(72)又は供送点(81)の上流側に、渦巻素子(20)又は渦巻素子(80)を前記流れ媒体が通過可能に設け、前記流れ媒体の前記回転を渦巻素子(20)又は渦巻素子(80)により発生させる請求項1〜11のいずれかに記載の方法。
- フリーラジカル開始剤が、エチレン及び必要によりコモノマーを含有する流れ媒体に導入され、その流れ媒体が、変化する流れ横断面(27)を有する反応管(1)を通過し、そしてフリーラジカル開始剤が混合領域(13)に導入される管型反応器において、請求項1〜12の何れか1項に記載の方法によりポリエチレンを製造する装置であって、
流れ媒体に回転を発生させるために、流れ媒体の副流(61)と副流(62)が、その供給方向が互いに所定の角度で相互に衝突するか、或いは渦巻素子(20)又は渦巻素子(80)が、流れ横断面(27)と流れ横断面(28)の間に設けられ、
そしてフリーラジカル開始剤用の流出口オリフィス(44)の給送フィンガー(40)が、前記回転が生じた流れ媒体が通過する絞りの下流に設けられている装置。 - 給送フィンガー(40)の先端(41)の流出口オリフィス(44)が、中心から外れた流出口オリフィスであり、且つ給送フィンガーの軸に対して5〜80°の角度で傾いている請求項13に記載の装置。
- 渦巻素子(20)及び渦巻素子(80)が、その外周に、反応管(1)の環状空間(68)の周囲方向に45〜360°で伸びた渦巻ブレード(25)及び渦巻ブレード(82)をそれぞれ備えている請求項13又は14に記載の装置。
- 渦巻素子(20)及び渦巻素子(80)が、その外周に、反応管(1)の環状空間(68)の周囲方向に120°で伸びた渦巻ブレード(25)及び渦巻ブレード(82)をそれぞれ備えている請求項13又は14に記載の装置。
- 前記絞りの直径が、独立した流れ横断面(27)及び横断面(28)の直径Dの0.2〜0.95倍である請求項13〜16のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 前記絞りの上流の独立した流れ横断面(27)が、10°〜70°の合計角度で前記絞りに入る請求項13〜17のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 合計角度が30°である請求項18に記載の装置。
- フリーラジカル開始剤用の給送点(72)又は供送点(81)の下流における前記絞りの直径0.7×Dが、10×D〜100×Dの混合区域長さ(13)に亘って不変のままである請求項13〜19のいずれかに記載の装置。
- 混合区域(13)が、10×D〜100×Dの長さの後に、20°未満の合計角度で、独立した流れ横断面直径Dに入る請求項13〜20のいずれかに記載の装置。
