Claims (6)
- 入力された高周波信号から位相信号と振幅信号とを分離して個別に増幅し、増幅された前記位相信号を高調波増幅部のゲート電圧とし、増幅された前記振幅信号に基づいて前記高周波増幅部のドレイン電圧を制御することにより、前記高周波増幅部から所望の変調増幅信号を出力するEER変調増幅器であって、
前記振幅信号に応じたドレイン電圧を発生して前記高周波増幅部のドレイン端子に供給するドレイン電圧発生手段と、
あらかじめ設定された第1の基準電圧又は前記第1の基準電圧の電圧レベル以上の第2の基準電圧と、前記ドレイン電圧との大きさを比較判定するドレイン電圧判定手段と、
前記ドレイン電圧判定手段が判定した前記第1の基準電圧又は前記第2の基準電圧と前記ドレイン電圧との大小関係に基づいて、前記高周波増幅部のゲート電圧を保持する、又は、前記ドレイン電圧に応じて前記高周波増幅部のゲート電圧を可変させるゲート電圧制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とするEER変調増幅器。 - 前記第2の基準電圧は、前記第1の基準電圧より電圧レベルが高く、
前記ゲート電圧制御手段は、
前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以下の場合、初期設定した第1のゲート電圧を保持し、前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以上であって前記第2の基準電圧以下の場合、前記高周波増幅部のゲート電圧を前記ドレイン電圧と比例させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のEER変調増幅器。 - 前記第2の基準電圧は、前記第1の基準電圧より電圧レベルが高く、
前記ゲート電圧制御手段は、
前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以下の場合、初期設定した第1のゲート電圧を保持し、前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以上であって前記第2の基準電圧以下の場合、前記高周波増幅部のゲート電圧を前記ドレイン電圧と反比例させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のEER変調増幅器。 - 前記第2の基準電圧は、前記第1の基準電圧より電圧レベルが高く、
前記ゲート電圧制御手段は、
前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以下の場合、初期設定した第1のゲート電圧を保持し、前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以上であって前記第2の基準電圧以下の場合、前記高周波増幅部のゲート電圧を前記ドレイン電圧と対数比例させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のEER変調増幅器。 - 前記第2の基準電圧は、前記第1の基準電圧より電圧レベルが高く、
前記ゲート電圧制御手段は、
前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以下の場合、初期設定した第1のゲート電圧を保持し、前記ドレイン電圧が、前記第1の基準電圧以上であって前記第2の基準電圧以下の場合、前記高周波増幅部のゲート電圧を前記ドレイン電圧と逆対数比例させることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のEER変調増幅器。 - 前記ドレイン電圧判定手段は、
前記高周波信号から分離された振幅信号を直接検出し、前記基準電圧と前記振幅信号との大きさを比較判定することにより、前記基準電圧と前記ドレイン電圧との大きさの比較判定に置き換えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のEER変調増幅器。
