Description
図1は本発明の第1実施形態に係る触媒粒子を模式的に示す図である。
ところで、上記実施形態では、ナノメートルオーダの一次粒子径を持つ一種の単体微粒子または二種以上の固溶体微粒子である基粒子10と、この基粒子10の表面の少なくとも一部に担持された貴金属20と、よりなる触媒粒子において、担持される貴金属20を化学吸着可能な異種元素が、基粒子10の中に固溶していることを特徴とする触媒粒子が提供される。
Claims (7)
- 100nm以下の一次粒子径を持つ一種の単体微粒子または二種以上の固溶体微粒子である基粒子(10)と、この基粒子(10)の表面の少なくとも一部に担持された貴金属(20)と、よりなる触媒粒子において、
担持される前記貴金属(20)を化学吸着可能な異種元素が、前記基粒子(10)の中に固溶しており、
前記担持される前記貴金属(20)を化学吸着可能な異種元素は、前記基粒子(10)の少なくとも表面近傍に偏析して固溶しており、
自動車排気浄化に用いられることを特徴とする触媒粒子。 - 前記基粒子(10)は、金属酸化物よりなる粒子であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の触媒粒子。
- 前記金属酸化物は、CeO2、ZrO2、Al2O3、TiO2、SiO2、MgOおよびそれらの誘導体から選ばれる一種の単体、または二種以上の固溶体であることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の触媒粒子。
- 前記担持される前記貴金属(20)を化学吸着可能な異種元素は、W、Ti、Fe、La、Lu、Ca、Hf、Ir、Pd、およびScの中から選択されたものからなることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のいずれか1つに記載の触媒粒子。
- 前記担持される前記貴金属(20)を化学吸着可能な異種元素は、前記基粒子(10)に対して、0.1atm%以上5atm%以下の割合で固溶していることを特徴としている請求項1ないし4のいずれか1つに記載の触媒粒子。
- 前記貴金属(20)は、Pt、Rh、およびPdの中から選択されたものであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし5のいずれか1つに記載の触媒粒子。
- 前記基粒子(10)の表面における前記貴金属(20)は、径が0.5nm以上5nm以下である球状のものであるか、あるいは、0.5nm以上5nm以下の厚さを持つ被覆層として構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1ないし6のいずれか1つに記載の触媒粒子。
