Description
Claims (5)
- グレーティングを有する偏光素子を用いて自然光から偏光光を生成する工程と、
偏光軸モニタを介して、前記偏光光の偏光軸および偏光光強度を均一に揃える工程と、
前記均一な偏光軸および偏光光強度を有する偏光光を一括して配向膜に照射し、該配向膜の配向を行う工程と、を備えたことを特徴とする液晶表示素子の製造方法。 - 請求項1記載の液晶表示素子の製造方法において、
前記グレーティングは、前記偏光光の波長に対応した形状および寸法を有し、紫外光を透過させる基板上に形成されていることを特徴とする液晶表示素子の製造方法。 - 請求項2記載の液晶表示素子の製造方法において、
前記紫外光を透過させる基板は、石英ガラスであることを特徴とする液晶表示素子の製造方法。 - 請求項2記載の液晶表示素子の製造方法において、
前記グレーティングの材料は、二酸化ケイ素、フッ化カルシウムまたはフッ化マグネシウムであることを特徴とする液晶表示素子の製造方法。 - 請求項1記載の液晶表示素子の製造方法において、
前記偏光軸および偏光光強度が均一に揃えられた偏光光が照射された領域に隣接する領域に繰り返して前記偏光光の照射がなされることを特徴とする液晶表示素子の製造方法。
