ージャ)5のコンプレッサハウジング50が配置されている。コンプレッサハウジング50より上流の吸気通路4にはエアフローメータ6が配置されている。コンプレッサハウジング50より下流の吸気通路4には給気冷却器(インタークーラ)7が配置されている。インタークーラ7より下流の吸気通路4には吸気絞り弁8が配置されている。
づいて述べる。図3の(a)は、パティキュレートフィルタ10のPM捕集能力が飽和する直前の流路10aの状態を示している。図3(a)中の塗りつぶし部分は、捕集されたPMを示している。この場合、細孔10d内にPMが捕集されている上、隔壁10cの表面(流路10a内)にもPMが堆積している。
時のフィルタ前後差圧(以下、基準フィルタ前後差圧と称する)を示し、更にΣPMsはフィルタ前後差圧が基準フィルタ前後差圧Dpsであるときの総PM捕集量であって細孔10d内に捕集可能なPM捕集量の最大値(以下、細孔内最大捕集量と称する)を示している。
内最大捕集量ΣPMsと同量である。前記した第2の所定量PM3は、該第2のPM所定量PM3のPMがパティキュレートフィルタ10の流路10a、10b内に残留した状態で内燃機関1が運転されても背圧が過剰に高くならず、且つ高負荷運転から減速運転状態へ移行した場合等に該第2の所定量PM3のPMが一斉に酸化されてもパティキュレートフィルタ10が過昇温しない量である。

Claims (5)
- 内燃機関の排気通路に配置されたパティキュレートフィルタと、
前記パティキュレートフィルタを目標フィルタ温度まで昇温させて該パティキュレートフィルタに捕集されたPMを酸化除去するPM強制再生処理を行う再生手段と、
前記パティキュレートフィルタに捕集されたパティキュレート量を、パティキュレートの酸化率が異なる部位毎に演算する捕集量演算手段と、
前記PM強制再生処理の実行開始時に酸化率が高い部位の捕集量が多く且つ酸化率が低い部位の捕集量が少なくなるほど前記目標フィルタ温度を低く補正する再生温度制御手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1において、
再生温度制御手段は、酸化率が低い部位にパティキュレートが捕集されていなければ前記目標フィルタ温度を第1目標フィルタ温度に設定し、酸化率が低い部位にパティキュレートが捕集されていれば前記目標フィルタ温度を前記第1目標フィルタ温度より高い第2目標フィルタ温度に設定することを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 内燃機関の排気通路に配置されたパティキュレートフィルタと、
前記パティキュレートフィルタに捕集されたパティキュレート量を、パティキュレートの酸化率が異なる部位毎に演算する捕集量演算手段と、
酸化率が高い部位の捕集量が第1所定量を超えた時に、前記パティキュレートフィルタを第1目標フィルタ温度まで昇温させて該パティキュレートフィルタに捕集されたパティキュレートを酸化除去する第1PM強制再生処理を行う第1再生手段と、
酸化率が低い部位の捕集量が第2所定量を超えた時に、前記パティキュレートフィルタを前記第1目標フィルタ温度より高い第2目標フィルタ温度まで昇温させて該パティキュレートフィルタに捕集されたパティキュレートを酸化除去する第2PM強制再生処理を行う第2再生手段と、
を備えることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1又は3において、
前記捕集量演算手段は、前記酸化率が高い部位の捕集量を減算する時は、前記酸化率が低い部位の捕集量を減算する時に比べて減算量を多くすることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1〜4の何れか一において、前記パティキュレートフィルタは多孔質の基材を有し、
前記酸化率が高い部位は前記基材の孔内及び孔近傍の表面であり、且つ、前記酸化率が低い部位は前記孔近傍を除く前記基材の表面であることを特徴とする内燃機関の排気浄化装置。
