Description
0.1〜30質量%の、少なくとも1種のエチレンターポリマー・ワックス、
5〜70質量%の、上記エチレンターポリマー・ワックスと非相溶性の少なくとも1種の第1の溶剤、及び
5〜85質量%の、上記エチレンターポリマー・ワックス及び上記第1の溶剤の両方と相溶性の少なくとも1種の第1の溶剤
を成分として含むチキソトロピック剤に関する。
0.1〜30質量%、好ましくは0.5〜15質量%、特に好ましくは1〜10質量%の少なくとも1種のエチレンターポリマー・ワックス、
5〜70質量%、好ましくは8〜50質量%、特に好ましくは10〜20質量%の、上記エチレンターポリマー・ワックスと非相溶性の少なくとも1種の第1の溶剤、及び
5〜85質量%、好ましくは10〜80質量%、特に好ましくは30〜60質量%の、上記エチレンターポリマー・ワックス及び上記第1の溶剤の両方と相溶性である少なくとも1種の溶剤
を成分として含んでいる。
80〜99.9質量%、さらに好ましくは93〜99.5質量%のエチレン、
0.1〜20質量%、さらに好ましくは0.5〜7質量%の少なくとも2種のコモノマー
から合成された少なくとも1種のエチレンターポリマー・ワックスを成分として含み、且つ
上記2種のコモノマーが、
第1のコモノマーとして、1〜99質量%、好ましくは30〜70質量%、特に好ましくは40〜60質量%の少なくとも1種のC3〜C12−アルケンカルボン酸、及び
第2のコモノマーとして、99〜1質量%、好ましくは70〜30質量%、特に好ましくは60〜40質量%の少なくとも1種の式I:
R2が、C1〜C10−アルキル、C3〜C12−シクロアルキル、及びC6〜C14−アリールから選択される。]
で表されるエステルから構成されていることが好ましい。

エチレン、アクリル酸及びメチルアクリレートを、文献(M. Buback et al., Chem. Ing. Tech. 1994, 66, 510)に記載のように、高圧オートクレーブで重合させた。この重合のために、tert−ブチルペルオキシピバレート(0.02mol/L)のイソドデカン溶液を約1000〜1500ml/hで加えた、エチレンと、アクリル酸とメチルアクリレートの混合物とを、1700バールの反応圧力下に供給した。調節剤として、プロピオンアルデヒド及びイソドデカンの混合物(容量比1:1)を、600ml/hで計量供給した。表1に重合条件を、表2に得られたポリマーの分析値を示す。
試験は顔料の添加無しに実施した。
Claims (9)
- 0.1〜30質量%の、少なくとも1種のエチレンターポリマー・ワックス、
5〜70質量%の、上記エチレンターポリマー・ワックスと非相溶性の少なくとも1種の第1の溶剤、
5〜85質量%の、上記エチレンターポリマー・ワックス及び上記第1の溶剤の両方と相溶性の少なくとも1種の溶剤
を成分として含み、
上記エチレンターポリマー・ワックスが、
80〜99.9質量%のエチレン、
0.1〜20質量%の少なくとも2種のコモノマー
から合成され、且つ
上記少なくとも2種のコモノマーが、
第1のコモノマーとして、1〜99質量%の少なくとも1種のC3〜C12−アルケンカルボン酸、及び
第2のコモノマーとして、99〜1質量%の少なくとも1種の式I:
R2が、C1〜C10−アルキル、C3〜C12−シクロアルキル、及びC6〜C14−アリールから選択される。]
で表されるエステルを含むチキソトロピック剤。 - 第1のコモノマーがアクリル酸である請求項1に記載のチキソトロピック剤。
- 式IのR1が、水素又はメチルを表し、そして式IのR2がメチルを表す請求項1又は2に記載のチキソトロピック剤。
- エチレンターポリマー・ワックスが、
90〜99質量%のエチレン及び10〜1質量%の少なくとも2種のコモノマーを含み、且つ
上記少なくとも2種のコモノマーが、
第1のコモノマーとして、30〜70質量%の少なくとも1種のC3〜C12−アルケンカルボン酸、及び
第2のコモノマーとして、70〜30質量%の少なくとも1種の式Iのエステルを含む請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載のチキソトロピック剤。 - まずエチレンターポリマー・ワックスを、エチレンターポリマー・ワックスと相溶性の1種以上の溶剤に溶解し、その後エチレンターポリマー・ワックスと非相溶性の少なくとも1種の溶剤を加える工程を含む、請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載のチキソトロピック剤を製造する方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の少なくとも1種のチキソトロピック剤を含むコーティング材。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の少なくとも1種のチキソトロピック剤を含むメタリックペイント。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の少なくとも1種のチキソトロピック剤を顔料と混合することにより、コーティング材又はメタリックペイントを製造する方法。
- 請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の少なくとも1種のチキソトロピック剤を含むコーティング材又はメタリックペイントで表面を被覆された金属。
