Claims (7)
- 媒体のROMデータ領域を検出した信号からジッタベスト、RFエンベロープ及びFODC値のうち何れか一つの値を得、この得られた値が許容範囲内であるか否かを判断する段階と、
得られた値が許容範囲内であれば、前記値を利用して、初期スキュー補償値を得、許容範囲内になければ、光ピックアップ組立体の対物レンズがラジアルチルト方向に駆動されるように少なくとも3軸駆動可能なアクチュエータに印加される電流を可変させ、前記ジッタベスト、RFエンベロープ及びFODC値のうち何れか一つの値を得る段階を反復し、前記得られた値が許容範囲内になるまで前記電流の大きさを可変させる段階と、を含み、
前記媒体が、記録可能型の未記録媒体である場合は、前記光ピックアップ組立体を媒体の内周から外周に移動させつつ、複数のポイントでFODCまたはそれから逆算されたチルト角度を得る段階をさらに含み、
かつ前記媒体が、記録された媒体またはROM型媒体の場合は、前記FODCを用いる代わりに、前記光ピックアップ組立体を媒体の内周から外周に移動させつつ、複数のポイントでジッタベスト、RFエンベロープのうち何れか一つを得る段階を更に含み、光ピックアップ組立体の位置によって能動的なチルト補償を行うことを特徴とする記録及び/または再生機器のチルト補償方法。 - 記録及び/または再生機器内に挿入された媒体が前記方法を適用するのに適切であるか否かを判断する段階と、
挿入された媒体が適用に適切な媒体である時、前記ROMデータ領域に探索する段階と、を含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のチルト補償方法。 - 前記対物レンズがラジアルチルト方向に駆動されるように前記アクチュエータに電流を印加及び/または前記ROMデータ領域を検出した信号の特性が改善される方向に前記アクチュエータに電流を追加的に印加しつつ、前記ROMデータ領域を検出することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のチルト補償方法。
- 前記初期スキュー補償値は、媒体の最外周まで初期値として使われることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のうち何れか1項に記載のチルト補償方法。
- 前記初期スキュー補償値を得る過程は、媒体が記録及び/または再生機器内に挿入される度に行われ、得られた初期スキュー補償値は、媒体排出時まで初期値として使われることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のうち何れか1項に記載のチルト補償方法。
- 前記媒体は、光情報保存媒体であり、前記記録及び/または再生機器は、光記録及び/または再生機器であることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のうち何れか1項に記載のチルト補償方法。
- 前記適用範囲に適切な媒体は、最内周にROMデータが形成された媒体及び初期スキュー補正用ROMデータが形成された媒体のうち何れか一つであることを特徴とする請求項1ないし3のうち何れか1項に記載のチルト補償方法。
