ここで、SVはエステルのケン化価、NVは脂肪酸の中和価である。
評価方法
[見掛け密度]: JIS K 7222に従い測定した。
[引張り強度及び伸長率]: JIS K 6400−5に従い測定した。
[吸水性試験]: JIS L 1907(滴下法及びバイレック法に準じ、吸水高さの測定時間を60秒後とした)に従った。
外径46mm、内径20mmのチューブ成形用口金を接続したスクリュー径40φのベント式押出機から、混練組成物を、40〜50℃の温度範囲で押出しした。押出し方向は下向きにし、口金先端から出る組成物を、比重1.1〜1.2の塩化カルシウムあるいは塩化マグネシウム水溶液にそのまま押出して50cm長で裁断した。その水溶液温度は20〜25℃、口金先端と水溶液面の距離は10cmとした。この時、口金から出る押出組成物の形状が口金外径に比例した一定の状態で押出されるか、垂れが生じて変形するかを目視確認して、押出性を評価した。垂れが生じていないものを良好とした。
前記の裁断後の断面の外観を、目視および走査型電子顕微鏡写真で観察して多孔状態を評価した。又、この走査型電子顕微鏡写真にみられる3次元網目構造の骨格のうち、棒状に伸びた部分10箇所の太さを測定し、その平均値を3次元網目の骨格の平均太さとした。
下記の測定条件で、ローラー間を連続して通過するAl板(アルミニウム板)の数は50000枚/時間として運転し、運転開始後1時間以上経過した時、通過直後のAl板から100〜130枚を抜き取り、Al板表面に残留した水分重量を精密天秤で測定した。この水分重量は、抜き取ったAl板の枚数に対応するものであるので、一般化のためにAl板の表面積が1000cm2になるよう換算して、単位がg/1000cm2で表される残留水分量を求めた。
0.80g/1000cm2以上: 明らかに濡れている。
0.20g/1000cm2 : 僅かに濡れている。
0.10g/1000cm2以下: 濡れを感じない。
ローラーの寸法 外径42mm、内径19mmの筒状連続気孔弾性体の中孔に、両面テープを貼った外径22mmのシャフトを圧入し、筒状連続気孔弾性体を、外径φ40mmに研磨するとともに、長さ200mmに切断する。
ローラーの構成 上ローラーと下ローラー各2組(ローラー数は合計4本)
上下軸芯間隔 35mm
前後軸芯間隔 45mm
試験基材 Al板 φ24.9mm×1.2mm厚
ローラー通過前の吸水基材表面への水分付着量 22g/1000cm2
水温 20±2℃
ローラー回転数 100〜150rpm
下記のポリウレタン樹脂、溶剤、気孔生成剤を原料として使用した。
レザミンCUS−1500
(大日精化工業(株)製ポリカーボネート系ポリウレタン、固形分30%)100重量部
ジメチルホルムアミド 50重量部
無水塩化カルシウム 50重量部
無水塩化カルシウムの代わりに、ポリビニルアルコール50部を使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして、組成物を混練した後押出し以降の各工程を行なって、連続気孔弾性体を得た。このようにして得られた連続気孔弾性体の評価結果を表1に示した。また、この走査型電子顕微鏡写真を図2に示す。
無水塩化カルシウムの代わりに、粒径が100μm未満の塩化ナトリウム350部を使用した以外は実施例1と同様にして、組成物を混練した後、押出し以降の各工程を行なって連続気孔弾性体を得た。このようにして得られた連続気孔弾性体の評価結果を表1に示した。また、この走査型電子顕微鏡写真を図3に示す。
実施例1の組成物原料に、さらにノニオンOT−221(日本油脂(株)製、ポリエチレングリコールソルビタンモノオレエート HLB値15.0)の5部を追加して、混練以降の各工程を同様に行ない評価した。このようにして得られた連続気孔弾性体の評価結果を表2に示した。また、この筒状成形品の中心孔にシャフトを装着しローラーを形成した。その後、ローラー表面の平滑度、真円度を高めるために研磨加工を行ない、上述の方法で残留水分量を測定した。結果を表2に示した。
ノニオンOT−221が1重量%含まれる40℃の水溶液に、実施例1で得られた連続気孔弾性体を浸漬し、10分間放置した後、取り出して遠心脱水を行なった。浸漬前の連続気孔弾性体の重量は111gであったが、遠心脱水後の重量は189gであった。これを100℃の箱型熱風乾燥機で乾燥した後、実施例2と同様の方法で研磨加工を行ない、残留水分量等を測定した。結果を表2に示した。
ノニオンOT−221の代りに、アデカエストールS−80(旭電化工業(株)製ポリオキシエチレンソルビタンモノオレート HLB値4.3)の5部を使用した以外は実施例2と同様に行なった。このようにして得られた連続気孔弾性体の評価結果を表2に示した。
押出し条件を変えて、連続気孔弾性体の形状等を、内径1mm、外径5mmのチューブ状とした以外は、実施例2と同様にして連続気孔弾性体を得、その後長さ15mmに切断した。このようにして得られた連続気孔弾性体の中心の穴に、先端を尖らせた2.0mm径、長さ10cmのポリプロピレン製棒状物を差し込みスワブとした。ガラス板上の水滴を該スワブで拭いたところ、水滴は1〜2秒以内に該連続気孔弾性体に吸い込まれ、ガラス板上の水滴を完全に拭き取ることが出来た。
Claims (7)
- ポリウレタンからなり、その骨格の平均太さが20μm以下で、骨格の80%以上が2〜20μmの範囲の太さである3次元網目状の気孔構造を有し、見掛け密度が0.2〜0.4g/cm3であり、かつHLB値が8以上の界面活性剤を含有することを特徴とする連続気孔弾性体。
- 界面活性剤のHLB値が8〜19であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の連続気孔弾性体。
- ポリウレタン、溶剤及び気孔生成剤である塩化カルシウムを、主原料として含有する組成物を混練して粘土状相溶物にする工程、当該組成物を脱泡、成形する工程、得られた成形物を水中あるいは水溶液中に投入して凝固する工程、及び、凝固された成形物から前記気孔生成剤を水抽出して除去しその後乾燥する工程を有することを特徴とする連続気孔弾性体の製造方法。
- 前記組成物が、さらに、HLB値が8以上の界面活性剤を含有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の連続気孔弾性体の製造方法。
- 凝固された成形物から、気孔生成剤である前記塩化カルシウムを水抽出した後、該成形物にHLB値が8以上の界面活性剤を添加する工程をさらに有することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の連続気孔弾性体の製造方法。
- 請求項1又は請求項2に記載の連続気孔弾性体を用いることを特徴とする吸水ローラー。
- 請求項1又は請求項2に記載の連続気孔弾性体を用いることを特徴とするスワブ。
