Description
一対の金属製ストリップ1021、1022が、結晶80の端面80fを横断して、溝101と平行に延びている。金属製ストリップ1023、1024の相補的な対が、結晶80後面を横断して延びている。金属製ストリップ102は例えば金からなり、高さ0.8マイクロメートル、厚みが0.005マイクロメートルであり、真空蒸着その他の適切な手段によって適用することができる。これらのストリップの目的は、接触している結晶80の領域をヒートシンク構成(1997年11月7日に出願され、ここでの参照によってその全開示内容を本明細書に取り入れる同時係属中の米国特許第08/966,492号(米国特許第5,990,925号)に開示された如きもの)に熱的に結合することである。

Claims (11)
- レーザ応答性の記録構造体をイメージングするための装置であって、
a. 複数の放射線ポンピングソースと、
b. 前記ポンピングソースに応答して低分散の放射線を生成する単一のレーザ結晶と、この結晶が前面と後面を有し、この前面が前記ポンピングソースに対面すると共に平行な一連の溝を有し、前記ポンピングソースが前記溝の間の部分で前記前面に入射する出力を生成し、実質的なサーマルクロストークなしに前記ポンピングソースの各々に応答して個別の出力を生成すること、及び
c. 前記結晶からの出力を記録表面上へと集束させる手段とからなる装置。 - 4つの放射線ポンピングソースを含む、請求項1の装置。
- 前記溝と垂直に前記前面を横断して延びる一対の離間した金属製ストリップをさらに含み、前記ポンピングソースの出力がこれらの金属製ストリップの間の部分で前記前面に入射する、請求項1の装置。
- 前記溝と垂直に前記後面を横断して延びる一対の離間した金属製ストリップをさらに含み、前記結晶の出力がこれらの金属製ストリップの間の部分で前記後面から出射する、請求項3の装置。
- 前記出力がアレイへと編成されると共にソース離間距離だけ相互に隔置され、前記アレイが最初のソースと最後のソースの間の距離に等しいゾーン幅を有し、さらに、
a. 前記出力を前記記録構造体上へと、スポットピッチ距離だけ相互に離れた一連のイメージスポットとして集束させる手段と、
b. 前記アレイを前記ソース離間距離だけインデクシングし、イメージスポットがスポットピッチ距離だけ、連続的にインクリメントされてシフトされるようにする手段と、及び
c. 前記ソース離間距離でのインデクシングに続いて、前記アレイを前記ゾーン幅だけインデクシングする手段とを含んでなる、請求項1の装置。 - 前記アレイが前記ゾーン幅で複数回インデクシングされるよう構成されている、請求項5の装置。
- 前記出力が同一直線上にある、請求項5の装置。
- a. 前記記録構造体を担持するための回転可能なドラムと、
b. イメージを表すパターンでもって前記ソースを選択的に付勢する手段とをさらに含み、前記アレイが前記ドラムの回転完了ごとに続けてインデクシングされて、前記記録構造体のイメージング領域の前記ソースによる走査を行わせる、請求項5の装置。 - 前記レーザ結晶がNd:YVO4である、請求項1の装置。
- 前記レーザ結晶がNd:YLFである、請求項1の装置。
- 前記レーザ結晶がNd:YAGである、請求項1の装置。
