Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 ｊ’ｊ＜Ｊ！ｌ’ｊ３Ｘ 本発明は、ノズルを被記録体に対して相対移動させなが
ら、この相対移動に対して直角方向にインク滴を偏向さ
せて被記録体に所望の図形へ９を記録するインクジェッ
ト記録装置の印字および紙送りの改良に関する。
従迷退ｌ 従来、垂直方向に複数のノズルを配列した記録ヘッドを
備え、この記録ヘッドを被記録体の送り方向と直交する
横方向に主走査し、被記録体を送ることにより、副走査
して、ｌ！Ｌ！録する記録装置においては、記録ヘッド
、にょる初めの主走査における印字の最下段と次の主走
査による印字の最」ユ段のつなぎ目を；目立たないよう
に記録することが難しかった。すなわち、初めの主走査
による印字の最下段と次の主走査による印字の最−に段
を重ねずぎると、その部分の濃度が高くなり、つなぎに
１が黒く目立つようになり、重ならないようにドツトの
重なりを少なくすると、紙送りのバラつき等により白い
すしが目立つようになり、安定したきれいな画質が保て
なかった。
且−一部 本発明は、上記欠点を解消するためになされたもので、
各走査量のつなぎの部分が［１立たない安定した画像が
得られるようにしたインクジェット記録装置を提供しよ
うにするものである。
璽−一部 本発明の構成について、以下、実施例に基づいて説明す
る。
第１図は、荷電偏向型インクジェット記録装置で画像を
形成する場合の走査方法を説明する猜成図で、１６段偏
向で縦方向のマトリクス位置を決め、ヘッドの横方向の
主走査によってマトリクスの横方向の位置を決める。ま
ず、１回°口の主走査へで１６段分印写し、次に８・段
分紙送り（副走査）し、２回１］の主走査Ｂを行なう。
このとき、ｌ、２１０＋　１１の走査により８段分重複
し、この重複した部分を１回１」の主走査Ａで印写する
ドラ１−ど、２１ｏｔ　ＩＩの主走査Ｂで印写するドツ
トに振り分ける。
第２図〜第４図は重複した部分の印写ドツトの配列を説
明した図である。第２図は、１回口の主走査へで重複し
た部分の奇数段ＡＩ　＋　Ａ３　＋Δ５゜Ａｖ（斜線を
施した丸）を印写し、２回目の主走査Ｂで重複した部分
の偶数段Ｂ　１０　ｒ　Ｂ　１．’ｓ　Ｂ　１４　＋１
３＋６（白丸）を印写した例である。
第二０図は、１回口の主走査Ａで１列おきに奇数段を、
その間の列は偶数段をそれぞれ印写（斜線を施した丸）
し、２回目の主走査Ｂでは重複した部分の１回Ｌ１の主
走査Ａで印写しなかったドツトを印写（白丸）した例を
示している。
第４図は、重複した部分（×印を施した丸）は１回口の
主走査へで印写するか、２回１１の主走査Ｂで印写する
か、ランダムに選ぶ例を示している。
第５図は、本発明による印字信号発生回路の一実施例を
示す図で、画像データは主メモリ１に格納され、コント
ローラ２の指令により印″す’　Ｎｆ’ｌ序に従ってラ
インバッファメモリに向番ノて送り出される。２回目の
主走査で印写すべき重複部分のドラ１−データは、デー
タセレクタ２によってラインバッファ６に送られる。デ
ータセレクタ３は重用部分の印写ドツトの配列が第２図
、第３図に示ずように規１す的な場合はカウンタ４によ
って指定され、第４図のようにラング１１の場合は乱数
発生Ｈ：’ｉ　４によって指定される。２つのラインバ
ッファ５，６からは、１走査ごとに荷電コード発生回路
７に印字データが送り出される。荷電コード発生回路７
は偏向カウンタ８の内容を送り出し、Ｉ）　／　Ａ変換
器９に向って荷電コードを送り出し、Ｄ／Δ変換器９に
おいてアナログの荷電々圧に変換する。
効　果 以」二のように、本発明は各ドツト間の全部または一部
が前の１：、走査または次の主走査とのつなぎ部分にな
るので、紙送りのバラつきやドッ！〜位置のバラつきの
影響が従来のように−ケ所に集中することがなく、全範
囲に分散され、行間のつなぎ１１が１１立たない安定し
た画像が得られる。

を説明する図、第２図〜第４図は、本発明によるドラ１
−配列を示す図、第５図は、本発明による印字信号発生

Claims (5)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. （１）、各主走査毎の紙送りを該主走査の幅より少なく
    し、隣接する２回の主走査を重複させて重複部分を形成
    する手段と、該重複部分の印字ドツトを２回の主走査で
    重ならないように配列する手段とを備えたことを特徴と
    するインクジェット記録装置。
  2. （２）、前記紙送りの幅は前記主走査の幅の半分である
    ことを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第（１）項記載のイン
    クジェット記録装置。
  3. （３）、前記配列する手段によるドツトの配列は、１回
    日の主走査で奇数段を印写し、２回ＩＩの主走査で偶数
    段を印写することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第（１）
    項または第（２）項記載のインクジェット記録装置。
  4. （４）、前記配列する手段によるドラ１−の配列は、１
    回日の主走査で１列おきに奇数段ど偶数段をたがいちが
    いに印写し、２回日の主走査で１回１１に印写しなかっ
    た所を印写することを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第（１
    ）項または第（２）項記載のインクジェット記録装置。
  5. （５）、前記配列する手段によるドツトの配列は、１．
    ２１１１１　Ｌｌのどちらの主走査で印写するかがラン
    ダムに選出されることを特徴とする特許請求の範囲第（
    １）項または第（２）項記載のインクジエツＩ−１己録
    装置。
