BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a dentifrice composition, and more particularly to a propolis extract-containing dentifrice composition that is superior in stability and is prevented from being discolored over time.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Propolis is a resinous material that bees have collected from various plants and is stored in the nest box. Its medicinal effects have been attracting attention for a long time, and it has been widely used as a folk medicine. Even today, it is applied and used in dentifrice compositions, cosmetics, health foods and the like. However, the conventional propolis extract-containing dentifrice composition often has a brown color over time, and has a disadvantage that discoloration is likely to occur particularly during high-temperature storage. The cause of discoloration of such a dentifrice composition containing a propolis extract is considered to be due to discoloration of the propolis extract itself.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
An object of the present invention is to provide a dentifrice composition that contains a propolis extract and has little discoloration over time.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to achieve the above object, the inventors of the present invention have included a dentifrice composition containing a propolis extract, by containing one or both of hydrous silicic acid and silicic anhydride, It was found that a dentifrice composition with little discoloration over time could be obtained without reducing the effect of propolis extract, and the present invention was completed.
Therefore, the present invention relates to a dentifrice composition containing a propolis extract, which contains at least one selected from the group consisting of hydrous silicic acid and anhydrous silicic acid.
[0005]

The propolis extract used in the dentifrice composition of the present invention is an extract of propolis which is a spider-like substance obtained from nests and nest boxes of Apis mellifera L., Apis indica RODOSZKOWSKI, the main component of which is a flavonoid It is. Usually extracts of alcohols, in particular ethanol, are known and are generally available on the market. In the present invention, such commercially available products can be used.
The blending amount of the propolis extract used in the dentifrice composition of the present invention is not particularly limited, but is suitably 0.01 to 10.0 wt% based on the total weight of the dentifrice composition, In particular, it is preferably 1.0 to 5.0% by weight.
[0006]
As the hydrous silicic acid and anhydrous silicic acid used in the dentifrice composition of the present invention, those usually used in dentifrice compositions can be used, and they are generally available on the market. In the present invention, such commercially available products can be used.
Both hydrous silicic acid and anhydrous silicic acid are known as abrasives in dentifrice compositions, and these are effective as stabilizers that suppress discoloration in propolis extract-containing dentifrice compositions.
[0007]
In the dentifrice composition of the present invention, either one of hydrous silicic acid and anhydrous silicic acid, or both are used in combination. The compounding amount in these dentifrice compositions can be 0.1 to 40.0% by weight based on the total weight of the dentifrice composition, but 1.0 to 30.0% as a stabilizer. % Is suitable, more preferably 5.0 to 20.0% by weight.
When the blending amount is less than 0.1% by weight, the effect of suppressing discoloration is not sufficiently exerted, and when it exceeds 40.0% by weight, the improvement of the action and effect as a stabilizer is not observed.
It is particularly desirable to use hydrous silicic acid and anhydrous silicic acid together, and the weight ratio of hydrous silicic acid to silicic anhydride is suitably 1: 1 to 1:10.
[0008]
The dentifrice composition of the present invention comprises additives usually used in dentifrice compositions, such as abrasives, lubricants, thickeners, foaming agents, solubilizers, sweeteners, dyes, solvents, preservatives, and various kinds. An active ingredient etc. can be contained. The compounding amount thereof may be a commonly used amount. Specific examples of these components are shown below.
