まず、厚み15μmの銅箔よりなる負極集電体11の上に、ニッケル−チタン合金ターゲットを用いたスパッタリング法により、300℃以上の加熱条件下において、ニッケル−チタン合金よりなる厚み0.5μmの中間層13を形成した。その際、ニッケル−チタン合金ターゲットの上にニッケルチップあるいはチタンチップを載せてスパッタリングすることにより、中間層13におけるニッケルとチタンとの組成比を実施例1−1〜1−5で変化させた。実施例1−1では原子比でニッケル48に対してチタン52とし、実施例1−2では原子比でニッケル49に対してチタン51とし、実施例1−3では原子比でニッケル50.5に対してチタン49.5とし、実施例1−4では原子比でニッケル52に対してチタン48とし、実施例1−5では原子比でニッケル53に対してチタン47とした。
負極活物質12をゲルマニウムにより形成したことを除き、実施例1−1〜1−5と同様にして負極10を形成し、二次電池を作製した。中間層13におけるニッケルとチタンとの組成比は、原子比で、実施例2−1ではニッケル48に対してチタン52とし、実施例2−2では原子比でニッケル49に対してチタン51とし、実施例2−3では原子比でニッケル50.5に対してチタン49.5とし、実施例2−4では原子比でニッケル52に対してチタン48とし、実施例2−5では原子比でニッケル53に対してチタン47とした。また、実施例2−1〜2−5に対する比較例2−1として、中間層を形成しないことを除き、他は実施例2−1〜2−5と同様にして負極を形成し、二次電池を作製した。更に、実施例2−1〜2−5に対する比較例2−2,2−3として、中間層をニッケルまたはチタンにより形成したことを除き、他は実施例2−1〜2−5と同様にして負極を形成し、二次電池を作製した。実施例2−1〜2−5および比較例2−1〜2−3の二次電池についても、実施例1−1〜1−5と同様にして、充放電試験を行い、50サイクル目の容量維持率を求めた。その結果を表2に示す。
実施例1−3と同様にして負極10を形成した。すなわち、厚み15μmの銅箔よりなる負極集電体11の上に、スパッタリング法により300℃以上の加熱条件下において、ニッケル−チタン合金よりなる厚み0.5μmの中間層13を形成し、次いで、中間層13の上に、スパッタリング法により室温においてケイ素よりなる厚み5μmの負極活物質層12を形成した。中間層13におけるニッケルとチタンとの組成比は、原子比で、ニッケル50.5に対してチタン49.5とした。また、実施例3−1に対する比較例3−1として、中間層を形成しないことを除き、他は実施例3−1と同様にして負極を形成した。
Claims (10)
- 負極集電体に負極活物質層が設けられた負極であって、
前記負極活物質層は、ケイ素(Si)またはゲルマニウム(Ge)の単体,合金および化合物からなる群のうちの少なくとも1種を含み、
前記負極集電体と前記負極活物質層との間に、超弾性あるいは形状記憶効果を有する材料を含む中間層を備えた
ことを特徴とする負極。 - 前記超弾性あるいは形状記憶効果を有する材料は、リチウム(Li)と金属間化合物を形成しないことを特徴とする請求項1記載の負極。
- 負極集電体に負極活物質層が設けられた負極であって、
前記負極活物質層は、ケイ素(Si)またはゲルマニウム(Ge)の単体,合金および化合物からなる群のうちの少なくとも1種を含み、
前記負極集電体と前記負極活物質層との間に、ニッケル(Ni)とチタン(Ti)とを含む中間層を備え、
前記中間層におけるニッケルとチタンとの組成比は、原子比で、ニッケルが49〜52に対してチタンが51〜48、またはニッケルが35〜45に対してチタンが45〜55である
ことを特徴とする負極。 - 前記負極活物質層は、気相法,液相法および焼結法からなる群のうちの少なくとも1つの方法により形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項3記載の負極。
- 前記中間層は、気相法により形成されたことを特徴とする請求項1または請求項3記載の負極。
- 正極および負極と共に電解質を備えた電池であって、
前記負極は、負極集電体と、この負極集電体に設けられた負極活物質層とを備え、
前記負極活物質層は、ケイ素(Si)またはゲルマニウム(Ge)の単体,合金および化合物からなる群のうちの少なくとも1種を含み、
前記負極活物質層と前記負極集電体との間に、超弾性あるいは形状記憶効果を有する材料を含む中間層を備えた
ことを特徴とする電池。 - 前記超弾性あるいは形状記憶効果を有する材料は、リチウム(Li)と金属間化合物を形成しないことを特徴とする請求項6記載の電池。
- 正極および負極と共に電解質を備えた電池であって、
前記負極は、負極集電体と、この負極集電体に設けられた負極活物質層とを備え、
前記負極活物質層は、ケイ素(Si)またはゲルマニウム(Ge)の単体,合金および化合物からなる群のうちの少なくとも1種を含み、
前記負極活物質層と前記負極集電体との間に、ニッケル(Ni)とチタン(Ti)とを含む中間層を備え、
前記中間層におけるニッケルとチタンとの組成比は、原子比で、ニッケルが49〜52に対してチタンが51〜48、またはニッケルが35〜45に対してチタンが45〜55である
ことを特徴とする電池。 - 前記負極活物質層は、気相法,液相法および焼結法からなる群のうちの少なくとも1つの方法により形成されたことを特徴とする請求項6または請求項8記載の電池。
- 前記中間層は、気相法により形成されたことを特徴とする請求項6または請求項8記載の電池。
