A composition for scalp and hair comprising 0.001 to 10% by weight. (1) 0.0001 to 20% by weight of decyltetradecyldimethylamine oxide with respect to the total amount of the scalp hair composition for preventing dandruff, and (2) the solvent extract of quacharalate as a total amount of composition for scalp and hair to prevent dandruff. A composition for scalp and scalp hair for preventing dandruff is characterized by containing 0.001 to 10% by weight.
