【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【発明の属する技術分野】本発明は、表示画面に所定の
カード等の絵柄を表示し、これに対応して操作者が交換
指示部及び終了指示部を操作することによりゲームを進
行する形式の画像表示ゲーム装置に関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】この種の画像表示ゲーム装置としては、
例えば特開平７−３９６５０公報に開示された画像表示
カードゲーム装置が挙げられる。この種の画像表示ゲー
ム装置では、表示画面上に所定枚数（例えば５枚）のカ
ードを表向きに配列表示し、プレーヤーは、表示された
カードにより予め定められた入賞役が形成できるよう
に、配列表示されたカードの中から必要なカードを選択
して不要なカードを交換し、入賞役が形成された場合は
入賞役に対応して定められた配当倍率（オッズ）に従っ
て配当が決定される。入賞役及び配当倍率はオッズ表と
いう形で表示画面上に表示され、プレーヤーは配当倍率
を確認しながらゲームを進行する。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】しかしながら、上述し
た従来の画像表示ゲーム装置ではオッズ表の表示は常に
一定であり、従って、プレーヤーが間違った判断をして
カードを交換した場合には所望の入賞役を作成すること
ができず、また、カードゲームに習熟していないプレー
ヤーにとってゲーム習熟までに長時間必要とし、いずれ
の場合もゲームの興趣を欠くおそれがあった。本発明は
上述した問題に鑑みてなされたものであり、その目的と
するところは、プレーヤーの正確な判断を助け、また、
短時間でゲームに習熟できるようにすることで、興趣に
富んだゲームを可能にする画像表示ゲーム装置を提供す
ることにある。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は、表示画面を有
する画像表示装置と、表示画面上に所定の絵柄を表示さ
せる表示制御装置と、操作者が操作可能な交換指示部か
らの交換指示信号に基づいて表示画面上に表示された絵
柄を変更する絵柄変更装置と、操作者が操作可能な終了
指示部からの終了指示信号に基づいてその時点で表示画
面上に表示された絵柄の組み合わせが予め定められた入
賞役に該当するか否かを判定する入賞判定装置と、入賞
役の配当倍率を表示画面上に表示させる配当倍率表示装
置とを備えた画像表示ゲーム装置に適用される。そし
て、上述の目的は、配当倍率表示装置が、その時点で表
示画面上に表示された絵柄の組み合わせが該当している
入賞役の配当倍率をそれ以外の配当倍率と異なる表示態
様で表示することにより達成される。
【０００５】また、本発明は、表示画面を有する画像表
示装置と、表示画面上に所定の絵柄を表示させる表示制
御装置と、操作者が操作可能な交換指示部からの交換指
示信号に基づいて表示画面上に表示された絵柄を変更す
る絵柄変更装置と、操作者が操作可能な終了指示部から
の終了指示信号に基づいてその時点で表示画面上に表示
された絵柄の組み合わせが予め定められた入賞役に該当
するか否かを判定する入賞判定装置と、入賞役の配当倍
率を表示画面上に表示させる配当倍率表示装置とを備え
た画像表示ゲーム装置に適用される。そして、上述の目
的は、配当倍率表示装置が、その時点で表示画面上に表
示された絵柄の組み合わせに対して、絵柄交換装置によ
り絵柄を交換した場合に該当する可能性のある入賞役の
配当倍率をそれ以外の配当倍率と異なる表示態様で表示
することにより達成される。
【０００６】画像表示装置は、ゲーム進行に必要な絵柄
を表示するためのものであり、一例としてＣＲＴ（Cath
ode Ray Tube）、液晶表示装置等の電気／電子的手法に
より画像を表示する装置のほか、所定の平面画を適宜切
り換えて前面に呈示するような装置が挙げられる。ＣＲ
Ｔ、液晶表示装置等についてはその表示画面が装置前面
にある必要はなく、鏡等の光路変換手段を用いて画像を
前面に導くようにしてもよい。この場合、ハーフミラー
により他の画像、ジオラマ等の静止物または可動物と画
像合成してもよい。また、表示制御装置は表示画面上に
所定の絵柄を表示させるものであり、画像表示装置がＣ
ＲＴ、液晶表示装置を備えるのであれば表示制御装置は
ＣＲＴ、液晶表示装置の画素単位に色指定を行うビデオ
信号等を出力する装置を備え、画像表示装置が所定の平
面画を適宜切り換えて前面に呈示する装置を備えるので
あれば、表示制御装置は切替制御信号を送出する装置を
備えればよい。
【０００７】絵柄変更装置に備えられた交換指示部及び
入賞判定装置に備えられた終了指示部は、いずれも操作
者が操作可能なものであり、一例としてボタン式スイッ
チ、ジョイスティック、トラックボール等が挙げられ
る。交換指示部及び終了指示部はこれらボタン式スイッ
チ等を複数備えてもよい。
【０００８】配当倍率表示装置は配当倍率を表示画面上
に表示させるものであり、上述の表示制御装置を介して
表示画面を制御する装置が一例として挙げられる。配当
倍率表示装置は、例えば画像表示装置がＣＲＴ、液晶表
示装置等を備えるのであれば表示色変更、表示輝度変
更、表示点滅等により表示態様を変更することが考えら
れる。一方を全く表示しないことも可能であるが、少な
くともすべての入賞役を操作者が常に視認できる状態に
しておけば、特に習熟度の低い操作者に対するガイダン
スとなって好ましい。
【０００９】従って、配当倍率表示装置が表示態様を変
更することによって該当する、あるいは該当する可能性
のある入賞役の配当倍率がそれ以外の配当倍率と視覚的
に識別可能な状態で操作者に提示される。

【発明の実施の形態】以下、図面を参照して本発明が適
用される画像表示カードゲーム装置の一実施形態につい
て詳細に説明する。図１は、一実施形態の画像表示カー
ドゲーム装置を示す斜視図、図２は同左側面図、図３は
断面図である。本実施形態の画像表示カードゲーム装置
は、表示画面上に複数のカードを表示し、プレーヤーが
必要なカードを決定してそれ以外のカードを交換し、カ
ードの組み合わせが入賞役に該当すると所定の配当が得
られるようなゲーム装置である。
【００１１】図１〜図３において、２０は箱状の装置本
体であり、後述する各種装置が収納されている。装置本
体２０の前面には、それぞれ別体に形成された第１の扉
部材２１及び第２の扉部材２２が設けられ、これら第１
の扉部材２１及び第２の扉部材２２はそれぞれヒンジ部
材２３、２４（図２においてのみ図示）により独立に水
平方向開閉自在に支持されている。なお、これら第１及
び第２の扉部材２１、２２の開閉は図略のロック機構に
より通常は規制されており、鍵等によりロックを解除す
ると開閉が可能になる。
【００１２】第１の扉部材２１は、装置本体２０の前面
上部側に設けられ、その上部には本実施形態の画像表示
カードゲーム装置の名称等が記載されたタイトルパネル
２５が設けられ、その下部には表示窓部２６が設けら
れ、プレーヤーはこの表示窓部２６を介してＣＲＴ２７
の表示画面２７ａを観察することができるようになって
いる。表示画面２７ａには、図略の表示制御装置により
５枚のカードが横一列に表向き又は裏向きに表示される
とともに、入賞役毎の配当倍率、投入メダル枚数、ベッ
ト枚数等が表示されている（詳細は後述）。
【００１３】第２の扉部材２２は、装置本体２０の前面
下部側に設けられ、その上部が前方（図２において右
方）に膨出して上面がコンソール部２８とされている。
このコンソール部２８の右端部にはメダル投入口２９
が、中央部にはコントロールパネル３０が付設されてい
る。メダル投入口２９は本実施形態のゲーム装置に使用
されるメダルを１枚ずつ装置本体２０内に投入するもの
であり、その構成は周知であるので詳細な説明は省略す
る。
【００１４】図４は、コントロールパネル３０を拡大し
て示した平面図である。コントロールパネル３０には１
０個の押ボタンが付設されている。すなわち、プレーヤ
ーから見て右端から順にディール・ドロー（ＤＥＡＬ／
ＤＲＡＷ）ボタン３１、マックスベット（ＭＡＸ ＢＥ
Ｔ）ボタン３２、１ベット（１ ＢＥＴ）ボタン３３、
コレクト・ペイアウト（ＣＯＬＬＥＣＴ／ＰＡＹＯＵ
Ｔ）ボタン３４、ハーフ・ダブル（ＨＡＬＦ／ＤＯＵＢ
ＬＥ）ボタン３５が配置されている。また、プレーヤー
から見て奥側（図４において上側）にはホールド（ＨＯ
ＬＤ）ボタン３６が５個配置されており、各々のホール
ドボタン３６が表示画面２７ａに表示された５枚のカー
ドの下方手前に位置するように設定されている。各々の
押ボタン３１〜３６内には、プレーヤーがそれぞれの押
ボタン３１〜３６を押下すると点灯するランプ（図５に
おいて符号５５で図示）が付設されている。
【００１５】図１〜図３に戻って、３７は本実施形態の
画像表示カードゲーム装置の名称等が記載されたタイト
ルパネルであり、第２の扉部材２２の中央部に設けられ
ている。３８は第２の扉部材２２の下部に設けられたメ
ダル払出口であり、後述するメダルホッパー４２からの
メダルが払い出される。メダル払出口３８から払い出さ
れたメダルは、第２の扉部材２２の下端に設けられたメ
ダル受皿３９に貯留される。なお、４０は、第２の扉部
材２２の右側部に設けられた取手である。
【００１６】図３に詳細に示すように、第２の扉部材２
２の背面には、メダル投入口２９からのメダル投入の有
無を検出し、さらに投入されたメダルの種別、真偽を選
別するメダルセレクタ４１が取り付けられている。４２
はメダルホッパーであり、メダルセレクタ４１により選
別されたメダルを一時的に貯留し、後述する制御装置か
らの指令により所定枚数のメダルを計数してメダル払出
口３８を介して払い出す。４３は制御装置であり、本実
施形態の画像表示カードゲーム装置全体の制御を行う。
なお、４４は第１の扉部材２１の背面に取り付けられ、
タイトルパネル２５を背面から照明する照明器具、４５
は第２の扉部材２２の背面に取り付けられ、タイトルパ
ネル３７を背面から照明する照明器具である。
【００１７】図５は本実施形態の画像表示カードゲーム
装置のシステム構成を示すブロック図である。図５にお
いて５０はＣＰＵであり、ＲＯＭ５１内に記憶されたプ
ログラムに従って各種動作を制御し、ゲーム全体の進行
を司る。
【００１８】ＣＰＵ５０内には、カード交換装置５０
ａ、入賞判定装置５０ｂ及び配当倍率表示装置５０ｃが
それぞれ設けられている。カード交換装置５０ａは、後
述するようにホールドボタン３６が押下されていないカ
ード（図６において６３で図示）をディール・ドローボ
タン３１の押下により交換表示する。入賞判定装置５０
ｂは、ディール・ドローボタン３１の押下によりカード
交換がされた後のカードの組み合わせが、予め定められ
た入賞役に該当するか否かを判定する。そして、配当倍
率表示装置５０ｃは、入賞役の配当倍率をＣＲＴ２７の
表示画面２７ａ上に表示する制御信号を後述する表示制
御装置５７に送出する。また、この配当倍率表示装置５
０ｃは、ホールドボタン３６の押下によりカード交換が
指示された際、このカード交換指示により現在該当して
いる入賞役、あるいはカード交換により該当する可能性
のある入賞役の配当倍率をそれ以外の入賞役の配当倍率
と視覚的に識別できるように表示制御する（詳細は後
述）。
【００１９】また、ＲＯＭ５１内には、ゲーム装置全体
制御用のプログラムに加えて、カード、文字作成用のキ
ャラクタデータ、画像制御用のプログラム等が格納され
ている。５２はＲＡＭであり、ＣＰＵ５０からの各種デ
ータ等を一時的に格納する。
【００２０】５３は各種押ボタン３１〜３６のそれぞれ
に付設され、押ボタン３１〜３６の押下を検出して信号
を送出するスイッチであり、このスイッチ５３からの押
下検出信号、及び上述したメダルセレクタ４１からのメ
ダル投入検出信号は入力制御装置５４を介してＣＰＵ５
０に入力される。また、ＣＰＵ５０は、各押ボタン３１
〜３６に付設されたランプ５５、及びメダルホッパー４
２を制御する信号を出力し、この制御信号は出力制御装
置５６を介してこれらランプ５５及びメダルホッパー４
２に送出される。同様に、ＣＰＵ５０はゲーム進行に必
要な表示制御信号を表示制御装置５７に送出し、表示制
御装置５７はこの制御信号に従って必要な画像をＣＲＴ
２７の表示画面２７ａ上に表示するための画像信号をＣ
ＲＴ２７に送出する。
【００２１】図６は本実施形態の画像表示カードゲーム
装置の表示画面２７ａ上に表示される画像の一例を示す
図である。この表示画面２７ａ上には、カード表示部６
０、オッズ表表示部６１、及びメダル枚数表示部６２が
それぞれ設けられている。
【００２２】カード表示部６０には、５枚のカード６３
が横１列に表示され、かつ、このカード６３を交換する
か否かについてのプレーヤーの選択を表示するホールド
表示部６４が各カード６３の下方に表示されている。ホ
ールド表示部６４には、交換不要であることをプレーヤ
ーが指示した（プレーヤーがホールドボタン３６を押下
した）場合は「ＨＥＬＤ」が表示され、交換を指示し
た、あるいはプレーヤーが未だ交換の有無を選択してい
ない場合は「ＨＯＬＤ」が表示される。そして、プレー
ヤーがディール・ドローボタン３１を押すと交換選択さ
れたカード６３が一旦裏返しに表示され（図６の左端の
カード６３）、かつ、このカード６３に対応するホール
ド表示部６４に「ＤＲＡＷ」が表示される。この後、新
たな絵柄のカード６３が表示される。
【００２３】オッズ表表示部６１には、予め定められた
入賞役を表示する入賞役表示部６５、及び、各入賞役に
予め割り当てられた配当倍率（オッズ）を表示するオッ
ズ表示部６６が設けられている。なお、図示例ではオッ
ズ表示部６６は空欄になっているが、通常は配当倍率が
数字の形式で表示される。
【００２４】メダル枚数表示部６２には、プレーヤーが
賭けた（ベットした）メダルの枚数を表示するベット表
示部６７と、現在カード表示部６０に表示されているカ
ード６３により入賞役が形成されている場合にベット枚
数とオッズとを掛け合わせたメダルの枚数、つまり入賞
役形成によりプレーヤーが獲得したメダルの枚数を表示
する獲得枚数表示部６８と、現在プレーヤーが投入しか
つ獲得したメダルの総枚数、つまりメダルの保有枚数を
表示する保有枚数表示部６９とが設けられている。
【００２５】次に、本実施形態の画像表示カードゲーム
装置の動作を、図７のフローチャート及び図１〜図６及
び図８を参照して説明する。
【００２６】プレーヤーがメダル投入口２９からメダル
を投入するとゲームがスタートする。まず、ステップＳ
１において、プレーヤーが、投入したメダルのうち何枚
のメダルをゲームに賭ける（ベットする）かを１ベット
ボタン３３及びマックスベットボタン３２により決定す
るのを待ち、ＣＰＵ５０は、これら１ベットボタン３３
及びマックスベットボタン３２の押下を検出してベット
表示部６７の表示を変更制御する。この時点では、図８
（ａ）に示すように、全ての入賞役表示部６５及びオッ
ズ表示部６６を同一色で表示している（図８ではカラー
画像を白黒濃淡画像に変換して図示している）。
【００２７】次いで、ステップＳ２では、プレーヤーに
よるディール・ドローボタン３１の押下を待ち、ＣＰＵ
５０は、ディール・ドローボタン３６の押下を検出し
て、表示制御装置５７を介してＣＲＴ２７の表示画面２
７ａ上に５枚のカード６３を表向きに表示する。
【００２８】プレーヤーは入賞役を作成するために交換
が必要なカード６３と交換が不要なカード６３とを選択
し、交換が不要なカード６３に対応するホールドボタン
３６を押下して交換不要を指示する。ステップＳ３で
は、配当倍率表示装置５０ｃが、交換が不要なカード６
３、つまりホールドボタン３６が押下されていないカー
ド６３により形成されている入賞役、及び、プレーヤー
が指示したカード交換により形成される可能性のある入
賞役を判定する。
【００２９】ステップＳ４では、配当倍率表示装置５０
ｃが、既に入賞役が形成されていると判定したか否かが
判断され、形成されていると判定された場合はステップ
Ｓ５に進み、そうでなければステップＳ６に進む。
【００３０】ステップＳ５では、既に形成されている入
賞役に対応する入賞役表示部６５及びオッズ表示部６６
を強調表示するように表示制御する。また、ステップＳ
６では、配当倍率表示装置５０ｃが形成される可能性が
あると判定した入賞役に対応する入賞役表示部６５及び
オッズ表示部６６を通常表示するように表示制御する。
そして、ステップＳ７では、配当倍率表示装置５０ｃが
形成される可能性がないと判定した入賞役に対応する入
賞役表示部６５及びオッズ表示部６６を弱く表示するよ
うに表示制御する。
【００３１】一例として、図８（ｃ）に示すようなカー
ド６３が表示画面２７ａ上に表示され、左右２枚ずつの
カード６３についてホールドボタン３６が押下されてい
る場合、オッズ表表示部６１は図８（ｂ）に示すような
表示になっている。つまり、入賞役である２ペア（ＴＷ
Ｏ ＰＡＲＥ）については既に左右２枚のカード６３に
より形成されているので、２ペアに対応する入賞役表示
部６５及びオッズ表示部６６が強調表示されている。ま
た、入賞役であるフルハウス（ＦＵＬＬ ＨＯＵＳＥ）
については真ん中のカード６３がカード交換によりハー
トの２、ダイヤの２、ダイヤの７又はスペードの７が引
かれた場合フルハウスが形成される可能性があるので、
フルハウスに対応する入賞役表示部６５及びオッズ表示
部６６が通常表示されている。そして、それ以外の入賞
役については現在形成されておらず、また、形成される
可能性もないので、これに対応する入賞役表示部６５及
びオッズ表示部６６は弱く表示されている。強調表示、
通常表示、弱い表示は、この図示例では色の変化により
区別されている。つまり、強調表示の場合は輝度を明る
く、弱い表示の場合は輝度を暗く表示している。但し、
この表示態様はあくまでも一例である。
【００３２】そして、ステップＳ８では、プレーヤーに
よるホールドボタン３６の押下を待ち、ＣＰＵ５０がホ
ールドボタン３６押下を検出するとステップＳ３に戻っ
て上述の動作を繰り返す。
【００３３】この後、プレーヤーはディール・ドローボ
タン３１を押下してカード６３交換を指示する。ＣＰＵ
５０のカード交換装置５０ａは、押下されていないホー
ルドボタン３６に対応するカード６３を一旦裏返しに表
示し（図６の左端のカード６３参照）、新たな絵柄のカ
ード６３を表向きに表示する。
【００３４】そして、ＣＰＵ５０の入賞判定装置５０ｂ
は、表示画面２７ａ上に表示されているカード６３によ
り予め定められた入賞役が形成されているか否かを判定
し、入賞役が形成されていれば形成された入賞役に割り
当てられている配当倍率（オッズ）にベットされたコイ
ンの枚数を掛け合わせてプレーヤー獲得メダル枚数を算
出する。一方、入賞役が形成されていない場合はプレー
ヤーはメダルを獲得できない。
【００３５】そして、プレーヤーが保有しているメダル
の枚数が０になるか、あるいはコレクト・ペイアウトボ
タン３４によりメダル払い戻しが指示されるまでゲーム
は続行する。コレクト・ペイアウトボタン３４が押下さ
れると、ＣＰＵ５０はその時点でのプレーヤーのメダル
保有枚数を確認し、その枚数分のメダルを払い戻すこと
をメダルホッパー４２に指令する信号を送出する。メダ
ルホッパー４２はこの指令に従ってメダル払出口３８を
介してメダルを払い出す。なお、本発明の画像表示カー
ド装置は、その細部が上述の一実施形態に限定されず、
種々の変形例が可能である。

【発明の効果】以上詳細に説明したように、本発明のう
ち請求項１及び２の発明によれば、その時点で表示画面
上に表示された絵柄の組み合わせが該当している、又
は、絵柄交換装置により絵柄を交換した場合に該当する
可能性のある入賞役の配当倍率をそれ以外の配当倍率と
異なる表示態様で表示したので、該当する又は該当する
可能性のある入賞役に対応する配当倍率をそれ以外の入
賞役に対応する配当倍率と区別して表示することができ
る。これにより、操作者が該当する又は該当する可能性
のある入賞役及びその配当倍率を容易に識別することが
でき、操作者が間違った判断をしてカードを交換するこ
とを防ぐと共に、カードゲームに習熟していないプレー
ヤーに対する好適なガイダンスを提供することができ、
プレーヤーの正確な判断を助け、また、短時間でゲーム
に習熟できるようにすることで、興趣に富んだゲームが
プレー可能となる。

  1. 【請求項１】 表示画面を有する画像表示装置と； 前記表示画面上に所定の絵柄を表示させる表示制御装置
    と； 操作者が操作可能な交換指示部からの交換指示信号に基
    づいて前記表示画面上に表示された前記絵柄を変更する
    絵柄変更装置と； 操作者が操作可能な終了指示部からの終了指示信号に基
    づいてその時点で前記表示画面上に表示された前記絵柄
    の組み合わせが予め定められた入賞役に該当するか否か
    を判定する入賞判定装置と； 前記入賞役の配当倍率を前記表示画面上に表示させる配
    当倍率表示装置とを備えた画像表示ゲーム装置におい
    て：前記配当倍率表示装置は、予め定められた全ての入賞役
    の配当倍率を表示し、前記終了指示信号が入力されるま
    での前記表示画面上に所定の絵柄を表示している時点
    で、前記表示画面上に表示された前記絵柄の組み合わせ
    に対して、前記絵柄変更装置により前記絵柄を変更した
    場合に該当する可能性のある前記入賞役の配当倍率をそ
    れ以外の配当倍率と異なる表示態様で表示することを特
    徴とする画像表示ゲーム装置。
  2. 【請求項２】前記配当倍率表示装置は、さらに、前記終
    了指示信号が入力されるまでの前記表示画面上に所定の
    絵柄を表示している時点で、前記表示画面上に表示され
    た前記絵柄の組み合わせが該当している前記入賞役の配
    当倍率をそれ以外の配当倍率と異なる表示態様で表示す
    ることを特徴とする請求項１記載の画像表示ゲーム装
    置。
