【発明の詳細な説明】
【０００１】
【産業上の利用分野】本発明は、車両の乗員保護装置
(occupant restraining system)のガス袋（gas bag)用
カバーに関し、特に、自動車の前部乗客席側の計器パネ
ル上にこの種のカバーを取り付ける構造に関する。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】乗員保護装置のガス袋用カバーは通常、
１本または数本の織物テープを用いて、自由に動き得る
態様で自動車の計器パネルに連結されている。従って、
カバーは３次元的に調整することが可能であり、その最
終位置は計器パネル内の開口領域の形状によってのみ決
められる。カバー内またはカバー上に発泡 (foam) また
は型成形（molding)により固定されているかまたはカバ
ーに隣接して縫い付けられているテープは、ガス袋の展
開によりカバーが開いた後、カバーを係留する役を果た
すだけである。ついで、テープは吹き飛ばされて開いた
カバーの運動エネルギーを吸収する。別個なテープを備
えたカバーの製作は高価になる。さらに織物テープをプ
ラスチック材料のカバーに結合することは安全上の危険
を免れない。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】本発明の課題は上記欠
点を克服することである。
【０００４】
【課題を解決するための手段】本発明によれば、計器パ
ネルに備え付けられたカバー板を有する車両の乗員保護
装置のガス袋用カバーにおいて、カバー板の計器パネル
に面する側に少なくとも１個のテープ状ラグが型成形さ
れており、該ラグは、計器パネルの内部に固定された保
持ヨークの下を延びて、このラグのカバー板と反対側の
端部においてこの端部が保持ヨークを滑り抜けることが
ないように、広くされている。
【０００５】数個のノブまたはリブ状の保持要素が、保
持ヨークと係合するように、テープ状ラグ上を横断する
方向に延びて形成されると有利である。このようにする
と、ヨークの下を滑るためにテープによって克服されな
ければならなかったり、またカバーを吹き飛ばす際に追
加の運動エネルギーが消費されることを意味したりする
摩擦力が増大されるのである。

【実施例】以下、付図を参照して本発明を詳細に説明す
る。図１は１例として、計器パネル１２に備え付けられ
たカバーを備える自動車の助手席または前部乗客席の側
における乗員保護装置のガス袋用カバーを示している。
計器パネルの内部に配置されたガス袋が展開する間に、
カバーのカバー板１０が吹き飛ばされる。
【０００７】図２は、乗員保護装置のガス袋用カバーの
開放状態を示している。備え付けられた状態において計
器パネルの内部に面するカバー板１０の側に、少なくと
も１個のテープ状ラグ１４が、例えば射出成型により、
すなわちカバー板１０に型成形されているか、またはカ
バー板の背面に配置された填め込み部分とこのラグ１４
とが、それぞれ、同じ材料から成りかつ例えば射出成型
により一体に形成されている。ラグ１４は、計器パネル
内部において計器パネルに取り付けられた保持ヨーク１
６の下を這わされて、カバー板１０から離れた自由端に
おいてより広くされている。この端部が保持ヨーク１６
を通り抜けることが不可能な停止材１８を構成する。テ
ープ状ラグ１４の数と停止材１８の形状は自由に選択さ
れ得る。
【０００８】図３に示すように、カバー板１０上に型成
形されたテープ状ラグ１４がテープ上を横切る方向に延
びる保持要素２０を設けられていることが好ましい。こ
れら保持要素２０はリブおよび／またはノブの形態（こ
こには図示されていない）であることが好ましい。リブ
またはノブが保持ヨーク１６に衝接し、その際増加され
る摩擦力のために、テープが保持ヨーク１６の下を滑り
抜ける前に大きいエネルギーが必要になる。保持ヨーク
１６は図示の実施例においては、ねじ手段を用いて計器
パネルの内部に固定されたバー２２に取り付けられてい
る。停止材１８はほぼ円形の断面を有していることが好
ましい。その直径はバー２２の頂部端と、該頂部端に対
向する保持ヨーク１６の面との間の隙間幅よりも大き
く、その結果、停止材１８が保持ヨーク１６の下を滑り
抜けることはない。

【発明の効果】本発明によるカバーは、カバー板１０ま
たは対応する填め込み部分およびラグ１４それぞれの製
造に当たり、同一のプラスチツク材料が使用され、破砕
の危険が減少されるので、低い費用で製作されることが
出来、かつ高い機能信頼性を与える。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】 車両の計器パネル（１２）に備え付けら
    れたカバー板（１０）を有する車両の乗員保護装置のガ
    ス袋用カバーにおいて、 前記カバー板の計器パネル（１２）に面する側に少なく
    とも１個のテープ状ラグ（１４）が型成形されており、
    前記カバー板または対応する愼め込み部分およびラグそ
    れぞれの製造に当り、同一のプラスチック材料が使用さ
    れ、該ラグは、前記計器パネルの内部に固定された保持
    ヨーク（１６）の下を這わされて、このラグのカバー板
    と反対側の端部（１８）においてこの端部が前記保持ヨ
    ークを滑り抜けることがないように、広くされているこ
    とを特徴とするカバー。
  2. 【請求項２】 請求項１に記載のカバーにおいて、数個
    の保持要素（２０）が前記テープ状ラグ上を横切って延
    び、前記保持ヨーク（１６）に衝接するようにされたこ
    とを特徴とするカバー。
  3. 【請求項３】 請求項２に記載のカバーにおいて、前記
    保持要素（２０）がリブまたはノブの形態であることを
    特徴とするカバー。
