また、上記ベース樹脂は射出成形可能な樹脂であることがより好ましい。射出成形可能であると、設計自由度が高くなり、様々な形状のシールに対応できる。
なお、本発明のピストンリングは、図1に示すような単一の部材からなるピストンリングに限定されず、複数の部材を組み合わせることで円環状になるピストンリングであってもよい。
表1のPEEK樹脂、熱可塑性PI樹脂、PTFE樹脂をベース樹脂に用いて、表2の配合割合(体積%)で樹脂組成物を作製した。実施例1の樹脂組成物は、充填剤として、PTFE樹脂を含む一方で、炭素材料を含んでいない。実施例2の樹脂組成物は、充填剤として、炭素材料を含む(炭素繊維と黒鉛の組み合わせ)一方で、PTFE樹脂を含んでいない。実施例3の樹脂組成物は、充填剤として、PTFE樹脂と炭素材料を含むものである。各樹脂組成物に用いた原材料を以下に示す。

Claims (9)
- ガスを密封するためのシールに用いられるシール用樹脂組成物であって、
前記シール用樹脂組成物の成形体を圧力82MPa、温度200℃の前記ガス中に192時間曝露したとき、曝露前を基準とした寸法変化率が±1.0%以下であることを特徴とするシール用樹脂組成物。 - 前記シール用樹脂組成物の成形体を圧力82MPa、温度200℃の前記ガス中に192時間曝露したとき、曝露前の引張強さを100%としたときの保持率が80%以上であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のシール用樹脂組成物。
- 前記シール用樹脂組成物の成形体の引張強さが、ASTM D638準拠の測定方法で100MPa以上であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載のシール用樹脂組成物。
- 前記シール用樹脂組成物の主成分であるベース樹脂のガス透過度が、JIS K7126-1準拠の測定方法で4.0×10-12mol/(m2・s・Pa)以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載のシール用樹脂組成物。
- 前記ベース樹脂が、芳香族ポリエーテルケトン樹脂、熱可塑性ポリイミド樹脂、またはポリアミドイミド樹脂であることを特徴とする請求項4記載のシール用樹脂組成物。
- 前記シール用樹脂組成物の成形体は、硫黄原子の含有量が250ppm以下であることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載のシール用樹脂組成物。
- 前記ガスが水素ガスであることを特徴とする請求項1または請求項2記載のシール用樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1または請求項2記載のシール用樹脂組成物の成形体からなることを特徴とするシール。
- 上記シールが、水素ガスを圧縮する往復式圧縮機のピストンリングであることを特徴とする請求項8記載のシール。
