Abstract
Description
本出願は、2019年9月11日付け韓国特許出願第2019-0112753号に基づいた優先権の利益を主張し、当該韓国特許出願の文献に開示された全ての内容は、本明細書の一部として含まれる。
リチウム塩、有機溶媒及び第1添加剤を含み、
前記第1添加剤は、下記化学式1で表される化合物を含むリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を提供する。
R1、R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立して、水素又は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から10のアルキル基であり、
R2は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から10のアルキレン基である。
負極、正極、前記負極及び正極の間に介在されたセパレーター、及び非水電解液を含み、前記非水電解液は、本発明のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を含むリチウム二次電池を提供する。
具体的に、本発明の一実施形態においては、
リチウム塩、有機溶媒及び第1添加剤を含み、
前記第1添加剤として、下記化学式1で表される化合物を含むリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を提供する。
R1、R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立して、水素又は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から10のアルキル基であり、
R2は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から10のアルキレン基である。
先ず、本発明のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液において、前記リチウム塩は、リチウム二次電池用電解液に通常用いられるもの等が制限なく用いられてよく、例えば、カチオンとしてLi+を含み、アニオンとしては、F-、Cl-、Br-、I-、NO3 -、N(CN)2 -、BF4 -、ClO4 -、B10Cl10 -、AlCl4 -、AlO4 -、PF6 -、CF3SO3 -、CH3CO2 -、CF3CO2 -、AsF6 -、SbF6 -、CH3SO3 -、(CF3CF2SO2)2N-、(CF3SO2)2N-、(FSO2)2N-、BF2C2O4 -、BC4O8 -、PF4C2O4 -、PF2C4O8 -、(CF3)2PF4 -、(CF3)3PF3 -、(CF3)4PF2 -、(CF3)5PF-、(CF3)6P-、C4F9SO3 -、CF3CF2SO3 -、CF3CF2(CF3)2CO-、(CF3SO2)2CH-、CF3(CF2)7SO3 -及びSCN-よりなる群から選択された少なくとも何れか1つが挙げられる。
本明細書によるリチウム二次電池用非水電解液において、前記有機溶媒は、環状カーボネート系有機溶媒、線状カーボネート系有機溶媒又はこれらを混合した有機溶媒を含んでよい。
本発明のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液は、第1添加剤として下記化学式1で表される化合物を含んでよい。
R1、R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立して、水素又は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から10のアルキル基であり、
R2は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から10のアルキレン基である。
また、本発明のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液は、高出力の環境において非水電解液が分解されて負極の崩壊が誘発されることを防止するか、低温高率放電特性、高温安定性、過充電防止、高温における電池膨張抑制の効果等をより向上させるため、必要に応じて前記非水電解液内に第2添加剤をさらに含んでよい。
また、本発明のまた他の一実施形態においては、本発明のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を含むリチウム二次電池を提供する。
前記正極は、正極集電体上に正極活物質、バインダー、導電材及び溶媒等を含む正極スラリーをコーティングした後、乾燥及び圧延して製造することができる。
前記負極は、負極集電体上に負極活物質、バインダー、導電材及び溶媒等を含む負極スラリーをコーティングした後、乾燥及び圧延して製造することができる。
本発明のリチウム二次電池に含まれる前記セパレーターは、一般的に用いられる通常の多孔性高分子フィルム、例えば、エチレン単独重合体、プロピレン単独重合体、エチレン/ブテン共重合体、エチレン/ヘキセン共重合体及びエチレン/メタクリレート共重合体等のようなポリオレフィン系高分子で製造した多孔性高分子フィルムを単独で、又はこれらを積層して用いてよく、又は、通常の多孔性不織布、例えば、高融点のガラス繊維、ポリエチレンテレフタレート繊維等からなる不織布を用いてもよいが、これに限定されるものではない。
実施例1
(リチウム二次電池用非水電解液の製造)
エチレンカーボネート(EC):エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)を30:70の体積比で混合して製造された非水性有機溶媒99.5gに化学式1aの化合物0.5gを添加し、LiPF6を1.0Mとなるように溶解してリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を製造した(下記表1参照)。
正極活物質粒子としてリチウムニッケル-コバルト-マンガン酸化物(Li(Ni0.8Co0.1Mn0.1)O2)、導電材としてカーボンブラック、及びバインダーとしてポリビニリデンフルオリドを97.5:1:1.5の重量比で溶剤であるN-メチル-2-ピロリドン(NMP)に添加して正極スラリー(固形分含量85重量%)を製造した。前記正極スラリーを厚さが15μmである正極集電体(Al薄膜)に塗布し、乾燥してロールプレス(roll press)を実施して、正極を製造した。
非水性有機溶媒95gに化学式1aの化合物5.0gを添加し、LiPF6を1.0Mとなるように溶解してリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を製造することを除いては、実施例1と同一の方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水性有機溶媒99.9gに化学式1aの化合物0.1gを添加し、LiPF6を1.0Mとなるように溶解してリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を製造することを除いては、実施例1と同一の方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水性有機溶媒92gに化学式1aの化合物8gを添加し、LiPF6を1.0Mとなるように溶解してリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を製造することを除いては、実施例1と同一の方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
エチレンカーボネート(EC):エチルメチルカーボネート(EMC)を30:70の体積比で混合した非水性有機溶媒に、LiPF6を1.0Mとなるように溶解させてリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を製造することを除いては、実施例1と同一の方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
非水性有機溶媒97gに添加剤としてビニレンカーボネート3.0gを添加し、LiPF6を1.0Mとなるように溶解してリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を製造することを除いては、実施例1と同一の方法でリチウム二次電池を製造した。
EC:エチレンカーボネート
EMC:エチルメチルカーボネート
VC:ビニレンカーボネート
実験例1.高温(45℃)サイクル特性の評価(1)
実施例1から4で製造されたリチウム二次電池と比較例1及び2で製造された二次電池とを、それぞれ25℃で0.1C速度で3時間フォーメーション工程を実施した後、25℃で0.33C速度で4.2VまでCC-CV(constant current-constant voltage)条件で充電し、0.33C速度で2.5VまでCC条件で放電した。前記充放電を1サイクルとして3サイクルの初期充放電を実施した。
容量維持率(%)=(200thサイクル後の放電容量/1stサイクル後の放電容量)×100
実施例1から4で製造されたリチウム二次電池と比較例1及び2で製造された二次電池とを、それぞれ25℃で0.33C速度で4.2VまでCC-CV(constant current-constant voltage)条件で充電し、0.33C速度で2.5VまでCC条件で放電した。前記充放電を1サイクルとして3サイクルの初期充放電を実施した。前記充放電の3回目の放電容量を基準としてSOC(State Of Charge)を50%に合わせた。SOC(State Of Charge)50%において、2.5Cで10秒間放電パルス(pulse)を与えた際に示される電圧降下を介して直流内部抵抗を計算し、このときの抵抗を初期抵抗として設定した。
抵抗増加率(%)={(200thサイクル後の抵抗-初期抵抗)/(初期抵抗)}×100
実施例1から4で製造されたリチウム二次電池と比較例1及び2で製造された二次電池とを、25℃で0.33C速度で4.2VまでCC-CV(constant current-constant voltage)条件で充電し、0.33C速度で2.5VまでCC条件で放電した。前記充放電を1サイクルとして3サイクルの初期充放電を実施した。このとき、前記充放電のそれぞれ3回目の放電容量を初期放電容量に設定した。その後、0.33C速度で4.2VまでCC-CV(constant current-constant voltage)条件で充電し、60℃で12週間保管した。
容量維持率(%)=(12週高温貯蔵後の放電容量/初期放電容量)×100
実施例1から4で製造されたリチウム二次電池と比較例1及び2で製造された二次電池とを、それぞれ25℃で0.33C速度で4.2VまでCC-CV(constant current-constant voltage)条件で充電し、0.33C速度で2.5VまでCC条件で放電した。前記充放電を1サイクルとし、3サイクルの初期充放電を実施した。前記充放電の3回目の放電容量を基準としてSOC(State Of Charge)を50%に合わせた。SOC(State Of Charge)50%において、2.5Cで10秒間放電パルス(pulse)を与えた際に示される電圧降下を介して直流内部抵抗を計算し、この時の抵抗を初期抵抗に設定した。その後、0.33C速度で4.2VまでCC-CV(constant current-constant voltage)条件で充電し、60℃で12週間保管した。
抵抗増加率(%)={(12週高温貯蔵後の抵抗-初期抵抗)/初期抵抗}×100
Claims (11)
- 前記化学式1中、R1、R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立して、水素又は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から8のアルキル基であり、
R2は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から8のアルキレン基である、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。 - 前記化学式1中、R1、R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立して、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から6のアルキル基であり、
R2は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から6のアルキレン基である、請求項2に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。 - 前記化学式1中、R1、R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立して、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から4のアルキル基であり、
R2は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から4のアルキレン基である、請求項3に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。 - 前記化学式1中、R1、R3、R4及びR5は、それぞれ独立して、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から3のアルキル基であり、
R2は、置換又は非置換された炭素数1から3のアルキレン基である、請求項4に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。 - 前記化学式1で表される化合物は、非水電解液の全重量を基準として、0.1重量%から5重量%で含まれる、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記化学式1で表される化合物は、非水電解液の全重量を基準として、0.1重量%から3重量%で含まれる、請求項7に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 前記非水電解液は、環状カーボネート系化合物、ハロゲン置換されたカーボネート系化合物、スルトン系化合物、サルフェート系化合物、ホスフェート系化合物、ボレート系化合物、ニトリル系化合物、アミン系化合物、シラン系化合物及びリチウム塩系化合物よりなる群から選択された少なくとも1つ以上の第2添加剤をさらに含む、請求項1に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液。
- 負極、正極、前記負極及び正極の間に介在されたセパレーター、及び非水電解液を含み、
前記非水電解液は、請求項1から9の何れか一項に記載のリチウム二次電池用非水電解液を含む、リチウム二次電池。 - 前記正極は、ニッケル(Ni)、コバルト(Co)、マンガン(Mn)、鉄(Fe)及びアルミニウム(Al)よりなる群から選択された少なくとも1つ以上の金属とリチウムとを含む正極活物質を含む、請求項10に記載のリチウム二次電池。
