Abstract
Description

- 電解プロセスにおいてガスを発生させるための、バルブ金属基材とコーティングとを含む電極であって、前記コーティングが、前記基材の上に形成された、イリジウム、ルテニウム、スズ、および白金、もしくはそれらの酸化物またはそれらの組み合わせの混合物を含有する第1の触媒層と、前記第1の触媒層の上に形成された、白金およびスズもしくはそれらの酸化物またはそれらの組み合わせを含有する第2の触媒層とを含み、前記第1の層が、前記基材に施され、熱処理に供される、イリジウム、ルテニウム、およびスズの混合物を含む白金不含の第1の前駆体溶液から得られ、前記第2の触媒層が、前記基材に施され、熱処理に供される、白金を含有するスズ不含の第2の触媒組成物から得られる、電極。
- 前記第2の触媒層が、金属元素基準でのモル百分率でPt=48~96%を、金属またはその酸化物の形態で含有する、請求項1または2に記載の電極。
- 前記第2の触媒層が、金属元素基準でのモル百分率でPd=0~24%またはRh=0~24%を、金属もしくはそれらの酸化物またはそれらの組み合わせの形態で、金属またはそれらの酸化物の形態で含有する、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の電極。
- 前記第2の触媒層が、金属元素基準での平均モル百分率でSn=4~12%を、金属またはその酸化物の形態で含有する、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の電極。
- 前記第1の触媒層の前記イリジウムの酸化物、ルテニウムの酸化物、およびスズの酸化物が、金属元素基準でのモル百分率で、Ru=24~34%、Ir=3~13%、Sn=30~70%で存在する、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の電極。
- 前記第1の触媒層が、金属元素基準でのモル百分率でTi=30~40%のチタンの酸化物も含有する、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の電極。
- 前記第1の触媒層が、金属元素基準での平均モル百分率でPt=3~10%を、金属またはその酸化物の形態で含有する、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の電極。
- バルブ金属基材が、チタン、タンタル、ジルコニウム、ニオブ、タングステン、アルミニウム、ケイ素、またはそれらの合金からなる群から選択される、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の電極。
- - バルブ金属基材に、イリジウム、ルテニウム、およびスズの混合物を含む白金不含の第1の溶液を施し、続いて50~60℃で乾燥させ、400~650℃で5~30分間の熱処理によって前記第1の溶液を分解する工程;
- 所望の特定の貴金属担持量に達するまで段階a)を繰り返す工程;
- 白金を含有するスズ不含の第2の触媒溶液を施し、続いて50~60℃で乾燥させ、400~650℃で5~30分間の熱処理によって前記第2の溶液を分解する工程;
- 所望の特定の貴金属担持量に達するまで段階c)を繰り返す工程;
を含む、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の電極を生成するための方法。 - 工程a)およびc)での前記熱分解の温度が480と550℃との間である、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記第1の溶液が、前記イリジウム、ルテニウム、およびスズを有機金属錯体の形態で含有する、請求項10または11に記載の方法。
- 陽極室と陰極室とを含むアルカリ塩化物の溶液の電解用セルであって、陽極室が、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の電極を備えた、電解用セル。
- 前記陽極室および前記陰極室が、隔膜またはイオン交換膜によって隔てられた、請求項13に記載の電解用セル。
- アルカリ塩化物溶液から塩素およびアルカリを生成するための、セルのモジュール配置を含む電解槽であって、各セルが請求項13に記載のセルである、電解槽。
