Abstract
Description

ダイヤモンド(先端幅29.0μm、夾角3°、深さ87μm)を使用して、複数の平行直線溝を有するツールが切断された。溝は、62.6ミクロンのピッチで間隔が隔てられた。
レイヤー・バイ・レイヤー自己集合コーティングは、Svaya Nanotechnologies,Inc.(California州Sunnyvale)から購入した装置を使用して行われ、米国特許第8,234,998号(Krogmanら)、並びにKrogman et al.Automated Process for Improved Uniformity and Versatility of Layer-by-Layer Deposition,Langmuir2007,23,3137-3141に記載されているシステムにならってモデル化された。

微細構造フィルム表面と、頂部に置かれた厚さ2ミルの一片の非下塗り処理PETフィルムとの間に樹脂をピペットで移し、ハンドローラを使用して頂部PETフィルムに圧力を印加し、次に、500ワット電力の「H」バルブを有するHERAEUS(ドイツのHanau在所)ベルトコンベアUVプロセッサ(モデル番号DRS(6))を使用してUV硬化させることにより、PE1で使用された樹脂Aがチャネルにバックフィルされた。具体的には、試料は、50ft/分の搬送速度で、3回にわたってUV硬化ステーションを通して送られた。次に、頂部PETフィルムが手で微細構造フィルムから剥がされた。
拡散性感圧接着剤配合物を以下のように調製した:最初にアクリルアミド(3部)をHEA(14部)に溶解し、次いでEHA(65部)、EHMA(18部)、及び0.15部のIrgacure 651を添加することによってモノマープレミックスを調製した。窒素(不活性)雰囲気下、この混合物を紫外線発光ダイオード(UVA-LED)によって生成された紫外線に曝露することにより、部分的に重合させて、約1000センチポアズ(cp)の粘度を有するコーティング可能なシロップ剤を得た。次いで、HDDA(0.24部)、IRGACURE 651(0.18部)、及びKBM-403(0.05部)をシロップ剤に添加して、均質な接着剤コーティング溶液を形成した。最後に、MX-1000ポリマービーズを、オーバーヘッドJiffy LM Pintミキサー(Jiffy Mixer Co.Inc,(Corona,CA)製)を使用して2時間高速撹拌しながら、1:9の重量比で接着剤溶液に添加し、乳白色の接着剤コーティング溶液を、コーティング前に更に3日間混合ローラの上に置いた。
Eldim L80コノスコープ(Eldim S.A.、フランスのHEROUVILLE SAINT CLAIR在所)を使用して、全ての極性及び方位角で、半球型に同時に光出力が検出された。検出後、特に指示されていない限り、輝度[luminance](例えば輝度[brightness])読値の断面は、ルーバーの方向(0°配向角度として示されている)に対して直交する方向に取られた。12.3インチの1920×720LCDバックライトを3M BEF3-t-155nプリズムフィルムと共に底部拡散体の上方に配置し、そのプリズムフィルムの上方に3M ARP-320を配置して、従来のフィルム積層体を作成した。全ての測定についてバックライトを同じ電力レベルで保持した。
ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)(PET)基材及びポリカーボネート(PC)基材の両方の上で、調製実施例1で上述したように方形波フィルムを調製した。次に、同じ基材材料を他方の面にラミネートして、構造を封入した。ルーバーフィルムのタイプは、以降、PETタイプ又はPCタイプのルーバーフィルムのいずれかとしてラベル付けされる。
PETタイプルーバフィルムの輝度[luminance]断面測定の結果を図13に示し、結果を表6にまとめる。PCタイプルーバフィルムの輝度[luminance]断面測定の結果を図14に示し、結果を表7にまとめる。
Claims (20)
- 液晶ディスプレイであって、
反射型偏光フィルムを含むバックライトモジュールと、
光制御フィルムであって、
光入力面、及び前記光入力面の反対側の光出力面と、
前記光入力面と前記光出力面との間に配置された交互の透過領域及び吸収領域であって、前記吸収領域が、少なくとも30のアスペクト比を有する、交互の透過領域及び吸収領域と、を備える、光制御フィルムと、
前記バックライトモジュールと前記光制御フィルムとの間に配置された液晶パネルと、
を備える、液晶ディスプレイ。 - 前記光制御フィルムの前記光入力面又は前記光出力面上に配置された拡散層を更に備え、前記拡散層が、70%未満の透明度及び60%未満のヘイズを有する、請求項1に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散層が、前記光制御フィルムの前記光入力面又は前記光出力面の上にラミネートされている、請求項2に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記光制御フィルムのデューティサイクルが、70%~99.9%である、請求項1~3のいずれか一項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散層が体積拡散体である、請求項2~4のいずれか一項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散層が、ポリマーマトリックス及びポリマー粒子を含む拡散光学接着剤を含み、前記拡散光学接着剤が、前記光制御フィルムの前記光入力面を前記液晶パネルに結合する、請求項5に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散光学接着剤が感圧接着剤である、請求項6に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散光学接着剤が構造用接着剤である、請求項6に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散層が表面拡散体である、請求項2~4のいずれか一項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記表面拡散体が、第1の屈折率を有する材料を含み、前記表面拡散体が、前記第1の屈折率よりも低い屈折率を有する材料に埋め込まれている、請求項9に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 液晶ディスプレイであって、
バックライトモジュールと、
光制御フィルムであって、
光入力面、及び前記光入力面の反対側の光出力面と、
前記光入力面と前記光出力面との間に配置された交互の透過領域及び吸収領域と、を備える、光制御フィルムと、
前記バックライトモジュールと前記光制御フィルムとの間に配置された液晶パネルと、
前記光制御フィルムの前記光入力面の上にラミネートされた拡散層であって、前記拡散層が、70%未満の透明度及び60%未満のヘイズを有する、拡散層と、
を備える、液晶ディスプレイ。 - 前記吸収領域が少なくとも5のアスペクト比を有する、請求項11に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記吸収領域が少なくとも30のアスペクト比を有する、請求項12に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記光制御フィルムのデューティサイクルが、70%~99.9%である、請求項11~13のいずれか一項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散層が体積拡散体である、請求項11~14のいずれか一項に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
- 前記拡散層が、ポリマーマトリックス及びポリマー粒子を含む拡散光学接着剤を含み、前記拡散光学接着剤が、前記光制御フィルムの前記光入力面を前記液晶パネルに結合する、請求項15に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。

- 前記拡散光学接着剤が構造用接着剤である、請求項16に記載の液晶ディスプレイ。
