Description
第1の層が一又は複数の貴金属、NOx吸蔵成分、第1の担体材料及び第1のセリア含有材料を含むNOxトラップ組成物を含み、第1のセリア含有材料が、第1の層への組込み前にプレエージングされ、
第2の層がロジウム、第2のセリア含有材料及び第2の担体材料を含み、第2のセリア含有材料が、第2の層への組込み前にプレエージングされていない、
NOxトラップ触媒が提供される。
「ウォッシュコート」という用語は当技術分野でよく知られており、通常触媒の作製中に、基材に塗布する粘着性コーティングを指す。
第1の層が一又は複数の貴金属、NOx吸蔵成分、第1の担体材料及び第1のセリア含有材料を含むNOxトラップ組成物を含み、第1のセリア含有材料が、第1の層への組込み前にプレエージングされ、
第2の層がロジウム、第2のセリア含有材料及び第2の担体材料を含み、第2のセリア含有材料が、第2の層への組込み前にプレエージングされていない。好ましくは第1のセリア含有材料は80m2/g未満の表面積を有する。より好ましくは、第1のセリア含有材料は40-75m2/gの表面積を有する。
LNT1A:プレエージングされたセリアを含むNOxトラップ
400セル毎平方インチ(cpsi)のフロースルーコーディエライト基材モノリスに2つの層を含むNOxトラップ触媒配合物をコーティングする。下層のウォッシュコートはPt、Pd、37%のBa/Ce/アルミン酸マグネシウムスピネル及び53%のセリア(全セリア担持量の93%に粒子状セリアを含む)を含む。800℃で水の添加なしに1時間大気中でプレエージングした後、使用されるセリアの表面積は70m2/gである。プレエージング前に粒子状セリアの表面積は120m2/gであった。WO99/47260に開示されている方法を用いて未使用の基材モノリス上にウォッシュコートをコーティングし、次いで100℃で30分間通風乾燥機内で乾燥させた後、500℃で2時間焼成する。
比較用LNT1Bを、下層中のウォッシュコートに使用される粒子状セリアがプレエージングに供されておらず、>120m2/gの表面積を有することを除き、LNT1Aと完全に同じ方法により調製する。
LNT1A及び比較用LNT1B(直径1.38インチ、長さ5インチのコア)の新鮮な試料を以下の手順により酸素吸蔵試験に供する。LNT1A及び比較用LNT1Bの5インチのコアを試験前に大気中で600℃で1時間予備調整する。試験は合成ガソリン穿孔機上で実施し、全ての試験をGHSV17,700hr-1で行った。次いでN2下で温度を200℃に低下させ、30秒のリーン(1vol%のO2、バランスN2)及び30秒のリッチ(2vol%のCO、バランスN2)を10サイクル実施して酸素吸蔵能(OSC)を評価した。次いで温度を窒素下で280℃につり上げ、試験を繰り返し、次いで窒素下で400℃につり上げ、再度試験を繰り返す。次に30秒のリーン操作の最後の6サイクルにわたって入口気相から触媒により除去される平均O2の計算により酸素吸蔵能を求める。
Claims (26)
- 基材、第1の層及び第2の層を含むNOxトラップ触媒であって、
第1の層が、一又は複数の貴金属、NOx吸蔵成分、第1の担体材料及び第1のセリア含有材料を含むNOxトラップ組成物を含み、第1のセリア含有材料が、第1の層への組込み前にプレエージングされ、
第2の層が、ロジウム、第2のセリア含有材料及び第2の担体材料を含み、第2のセリア含有材料が、第2の層への組込み前にプレエージングされていない、
NOxトラップ触媒。 - 第1のセリア含有材料が80m2/g未満の表面積を有する、請求項1に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第1のセリア含有材料が40-75m2/gの表面積を有する、請求項1又は請求項2に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 一又は複数の貴金属が、パラジウム、白金、金、ロジウム及びその混合物からなる群より選択される、請求項1から3の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- NOx吸蔵成分が、アルカリ土類金属、アルカリ金属、希土類金属又はその混合物を含む、請求項1から4の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- NOx吸蔵成分が、バリウム、ネオジム、ランタン又はその混合物を含む、請求項1から5の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- NOx吸蔵成分がバリウムを含む、請求項1から6の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第1の担体材料が、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア、ジルコニア、マグネシア、ニオビア、タンタル酸化物、モリブデン酸化物、タングステン酸化物及びそのうち任意の2つ以上の混合酸化物又は複合酸化物からなる群より選択される、請求項1から7の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第1の担体材料がマグネシア-アルミナである、請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第1のセリア含有材料が、セリウム酸化物、セリウム-ジルコニウム混合酸化物及びセリア-ジルコニア-アルミナ混合酸化物からなる群より選択される、請求項1から9の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第2のセリア含有材料が80m2/gを超える表面積を有する、請求項1から10の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第2のセリア含有材料が、セリウム酸化物、セリウム-ジルコニウム混合酸化物及びセリア-ジルコニア-アルミナ混合酸化物からなる群より選択される、請求項1から11の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第2の担体材料が、アルミナ、シリカ、チタニア、ジルコニア、マグネシア、ニオビア、タンタル酸化物、モリブデン酸化物、タングステン酸化物及びそのうち任意の2つ以上の混合酸化物又は複合酸化物からなる群より選択される、請求項1から12の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 第2の担体材料がアルミナである、請求項1から13の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 基材がフロースルーモノリス又はフィルタモノリスである、請求項1から14の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- NOxトラップが、プレエージングされていない第1のセリア含有材料を含むフレッシュなNOxトラップ触媒と比較して、40%を超えて減少した酸素吸蔵能を有する、請求項1から15の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒。
- 請求項1から16の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒を含む、燃焼排気ガスの流れを処理するための排出処理システム。
- 内燃機関がディーゼル機関である、請求項17に記載の排出処理システム。
- 選択的触媒還元触媒システム、微粒子フィルタ、選択的触媒還元フィルタシステム、受動的NOx吸着器、三元触媒システム又はその組合せを更に含む、請求項17又は請求項18に記載の排出処理システム。
- 排気ガスを請求項1から16の何れか一項に記載のNOxトラップ触媒と接触させることを含む、内燃機関からの排気ガスを処理する方法。
- NOxトラップ触媒に第1のセリア含有材料を組み込む前に、第1のセリア含有材料をプレエージングすることを含む、NOxトラップ触媒中の第1のセリア含有材料の酸素吸蔵能を減少させる方法。
- プレエージングが、第1のセリア含有材料を700℃を超える温度で水の添加なしに加熱することにより実施される、請求項21に記載の方法。
- プレエージングが、セリア含有材料を750から950℃の間の温度で水の添加なしに加熱することにより実施される、請求項21又は請求項22に記載の方法。
- NOxトラップ触媒の酸素吸蔵能を低下させるための、プレエージングされたセリア含有材料の使用。
- プレエージングされたセリア含有材料が、第1のセリア含有材料を700℃を超える温度で水の添加なしに加熱することによりプレエージングされる、請求項24に記載の使用。
- プレエージングが、第1のセリア含有材料を750から950℃の間の温度で水の添加なしに加熱することにより実施される、請求項24又は請求項25に記載の使用。
