- 双方向ビデオゲームシステムであって、
プレイエリアの近傍に配置され、かつ該プレイエリア内に位置するプレーヤの走査データを収集するように構成された少なくとも1つのセンサと、
前記プレイエリアの近傍に配置され、かつ前記プレーヤに関連する仮想表現を提示するように構成された少なくとも1つのディスプレイ装置と、
前記少なくとも1つのセンサ及び前記少なくとも1つのディスプレイ装置に通信可能に結合されたコントローラと、
を含み、前記コントローラは、
前記少なくとも1つのセンサから、前記プレイエリア内の前記プレーヤの走査データを受け取り、
前記受け取った前記プレーヤの走査データに基づいて少なくとも1つのモデルを生成し、
前記生成された少なくとも1つのモデルに基づいて、前記プレイエリア内の前記プレーヤの動作を識別し、
前記生成された少なくとも1つのモデルと、前記プレーヤの前記識別された動作とに基づいて、前記プレーヤの前記仮想表現を生成し、
前記少なくとも1つのディスプレイ装置上に、仮想環境内の前記プレーヤの前記生成された仮想表現を提示する、
ように構成され、前記提示される仮想表現の動作は、前記プレーヤの動作に対して拡張される、
双方向ビデオゲームシステム。 - 前記生成された少なくとも1つのモデルは影モデルを含み、前記コントローラは、前記プレーヤの前記影モデルに基づいて前記プレーヤの前記仮想表現を生成するように構成される、請求項1に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
- 前記生成された少なくとも1つのモデルは骨格モデルを含み、前記コントローラは、前記プレーヤの前記骨格モデルに基づいて前記プレーヤの前記動作を識別するように構成される、請求項1に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
- 前記コントローラは、
前記プレーヤの前記生成された少なくとも1つのモデル及び前記識別された動作に基づいて前記プレーヤの動物型仮想表現を生成し、
前記ディスプレイ装置上に、前記仮想環境内の前記プレーヤの前記動物型仮想表現を提示する、
ように構成され、前記動物型仮想表現の前記動作は、前記プレーヤの前記識別された動作に対して拡張され、前記動物型仮想表現に関連する動きのタイプに対応する、
請求項1に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。 - 前記動物型仮想表現に関連する動きの前記タイプは、少なくとも飛ぶこと、泳ぐこと、又は飛び跳ねることを含む、請求項4に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
- 前記生成された仮想表現は、前記プレーヤの前記識別された動作によって引き起こされる超人的能力に関連し、前記コントローラは、前記ディスプレイ装置上に、前記仮想環境内の前記プレーヤの前記生成された仮想表現を提示するように構成され、前記仮想表現の前記動作は、前記プレーヤの前記識別された動作に対して拡張され、前記超人的能力に対応する、請求項1に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
- 前記超人的能力は、ジャンプすること、縮むこと、拡大すること、伸びること、又はこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項6に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
- 双方向ビデオゲームシステムの動作方法であって、
前記双方向ビデオゲームシステムのコントローラの処理回路を介して、プレイエリア内に位置するプレーヤの走査データを受け取るステップと、
前記処理回路を介して、前記受け取った走査データに基づいて前記プレーヤの影モデル及び骨格モデルを生成するステップと、
前記処理回路を介して、前記生成された影モデルに基づいて、前記プレーヤの仮想表現を生成するステップであって、該仮想表現は拡張能力に関連する、ステップと、
前記処理回路を介して、前記生成された骨格モデルに基づいて、前記プレイエリア内の前記プレーヤの動作を識別するステップであって、該動作は前記仮想表現に関連する前記拡張能力を引き起こす、ステップと、
前記双方向ビデオゲームシステムのディスプレイ装置を介して、前記拡張能力を実行する仮想環境内の前記生成された仮想表現を提示するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記生成された仮想表現は、動物型仮想表現を含み、前記拡張能力は、少なくとも飛ぶこと、飛び跳ねること、又は泳ぐことを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記拡張能力は、超人的能力を含み、該超人的能力は、縮むこと、拡大すること、伸びること、又はこれらの組み合わせを含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 前記処理回路を介して、前記プレイエリア内に位置する第2のプレーヤの第2の走査データを受け取るステップと、
前記処理回路を介して、前記受け取った第2の走査データに基づいて、前記第2のプレーヤの第2の影モデル及び第2の骨格モデルを生成するステップと、
前記処理回路を介して、前記生成された第2の影モデルに基づいて、前記第2のプレーヤの第2の仮想表現を生成するステップであって、該第2の仮想表現は第2の拡張能力に関連する、ステップと、
前記処理回路を介して、前記生成された第2の骨格モデルに基づいて、前記プレイエリア内の前記第2のプレーヤの第2の動作を識別するステップであって、該第2の動作は前記生成された第2の仮想表現に関連する前記第2の拡張能力を引き起こす、ステップと、
前記ディスプレイ装置を介して、前記第2の拡張能力を実行する前記仮想環境内に前記生成された第2の仮想表現を提示するステップと、
を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。 - コントローラを含む双方向ビデオゲームシステムであって、該コントローラは、
前記双方向ビデオゲームシステムの少なくとも1つのセンサから、プレイエリア内のプレーヤの走査データを受け取り、
前記プレーヤの前記受け取った走査データから影モデル及び骨格モデルを生成し、
前記生成された影モデルに基づいて、前記プレーヤの仮想表現を生成し、
前記プレーヤの前記生成された骨格モデルに基づいて、前記プレイエリア内の前記プレーヤの、前記生成された仮想表現に関連する拡張能力を引き起こす動作を識別し、
前記双方向ビデオゲームシステムのディスプレイ装置上に、前記引き起こされた拡張能力を実行する仮想環境内の前記生成された仮想表現を提示する、
ように構成される、双方向ビデオゲームシステム。 - 前記生成された仮想表現は、動物型仮想表現を含み、前記引き起こされる拡張能力は、前記動物型仮想表現に関連する動作方法を含む、請求項12に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
- 前記動物型仮想表現は飛翔動物を含み、前記引き起こされる拡張能力は飛ぶことを含む、請求項13に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。

- 前記作動される1又は2以上の物理的効果装置は、前記プレーヤの動作を識別したことに応答して前記プレーヤの一部に接触感覚をもたらすように構成された超音波触覚物理的効果装置を含む、請求項19に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
- 前記プレーヤの動作を識別したことに応答して、前記プレイエリアの近傍の1又は2以上のロボット装置を作動させる、請求項12に記載の双方向ビデオゲームシステム。
