Claims (29)
- カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)ケーブルであって、
各ワイヤが1つ以上のサブコアを含み、少なくとも1つのサブコアがCNT糸を含む一対のめっき付ねじりワイヤと、
前記めっき付ねじりワイヤを取り囲む誘電体と、
前記誘電体を取り囲み、前記CNTケーブルを遮蔽するように構成された電気層と、
を含むCNTケーブル。 - 前記めっきを取り囲む誘電体をさらに含み、前記電気層が前記誘電体を取り囲む、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記電気層は、物理層によって取り囲まれている、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記物理層が編組を含む、請求項3に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記編組は、前記電気層を摩耗から保護するように構成される、請求項4に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 少なくとも1本のねじりワイヤが、28 American Wire Gauge(AWG)ワイヤを含む、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記めっきが、銀、金、および銅のうちの1つ以上を含む、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記めっきが、約15ミクロン以下の厚さを有する、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記サブコアは、互いにねじり合わされている、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記サブコアの少なくとも1つが、化学的に延伸されたCNT糸を含む、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記CNTケーブルが、約1ギガヘルツの周波数で約2.0デシベル/フィート以下の無線周波数(RF)挿入損失を有する、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記CNTケーブルが、約4ギガヘルツの周波数で約4.0デシベル/フィート以下の無線周波数(RF)挿入損失を有する、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記CNTケーブルは、単一のねじりワイヤ対において、少なくとも約1.25ギガビット/秒(Gbit/s)のデータ転送速度を提供する、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記CNTケーブルは、約10メガジーメン/メートルから約58.5メガジーメン/メートルの間の導電率を有する、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記CNTケーブルは、約60%〜約90%の既製ワイヤの銅に対する重量の減少率を提供する、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記CNTケーブルは、約10ミクロン以下の粒径を有する、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- 前記CNTケーブルは、四軸糸および三軸糸のうちの1つ以上を含む、請求項1に記載のCNTケーブル。
- カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)ケーブルの製造方法であって、
各ワイヤが1つ以上のサブコアを含み、少なくとも1つのサブコアがCNT糸を含む、一対のワイヤの各々を取り囲むように、堆積速度を制御しつつめっきを堆積させるステップと、
めっき付ワイヤをねじり合わせるステップと、
前記めっき付ねじりワイヤを遮蔽するように構成された電気層で前記めっき付ねじりワイヤを取り囲み、それによってCNTケーブルを作成するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記堆積するステップの後であって、前記取り囲むステップより前に実行され、前記めっき付ねじりワイヤの周囲に誘電体を配置するステップをさらに含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記ねじり合わせるステップは複数のサブコアを共にねじり合わせることを含み、それによって、それぞれが前記複数のサブコアを含むねじりワイヤの対を生成する、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記ねじり合わせるステップは、サブコアの数を制御することを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。

- 前記CNT糸ケーブルを化学的に前処理する、前記作成するステップの前に実行される追加のステップを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記前処理するステップが、クロロスルホン酸を使用して前記CNT糸ケーブルを化学的に前処理することを含む、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記前処理するステップが、前記CNT糸ケーブルを溶媒で処理することを含む、請求項23に記載の方法。
- 前記溶媒が、アセトン、イソプロピルアルコール(IPA)、およびメタノールのうちの1つ以上を含む、請求項25に記載の方法。
- 前記堆積するステップは、約12ミクロン/分以下の速度でめっきを堆積させることを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記堆積するステップは、銀、金、および銅のうちの1つ以上を含むめっきを堆積するステップを含む、請求項18に記載の方法。
- カーボンナノチューブ(CNT)糸ケーブルの製造方法であって、
クロロスルホン酸を使用して、CNT糸を含む複数のサブコアの少なくとも1つを化学的に前処理し、
各ワイヤが前記サブコアを含む一対のワイヤの各々を取り囲むように、堆積速度を制御しつつめっきを堆積し、
前記めっき付ワイヤの周囲に誘電体を配置し、
前記サブコアの数を制御し、前記複数のサブコアのうちの少なくとも1つの近似直径を制御し、前記めっき付ワイヤをねじり合わせ、
前記めっき付ねじりワイヤを遮蔽するように構成された電気層で誘電体を取り囲み、それによってCNTケーブルを生成する、
