Abstract
【解決手段】電線10は、導体1と、導体1の周囲に被覆される絶縁層2とを有する。絶縁層2は、ベースポリマと、難燃剤とを含む難燃性樹脂組成物からなり、ベースポリマは、エチレン−エチルアクリレート共重合体と、塩素化ポリエチレンとを含む。そして、難燃剤は、臭素系難燃剤と、三酸化アンチモンと、水酸化マグネシウムと、スズ酸亜鉛とのうちの3種以上を含み、難燃剤は、ベースポリマ100質量部に対して、60質量部以上110質量部以下である。加えて、エチレン−エチルアクリレート共重合体のエチルアクリレート含有量は、ベースポリマの総量に対して、7質量%以上22質量%以下であり、塩素化ポリエチレンの塩素含有量は、ベースポリマの総量に対して、1質量%以上10質量%以下である。

Description
<難燃性絶縁電線の構成>
図1は、本発明の一実施の形態に係る難燃性絶縁電線を示す横断面図である。図1に示すように、本実施の形態に係る難燃性絶縁電線10は、導体1と、導体1の周囲に被覆される絶縁層2とを有している。
以下、本実施の形態の難燃性樹脂組成物について詳述する。本実施の形態に係る難燃性樹脂組成物は、(A)ベースポリマと、(B)難燃剤と、(C)難燃剤以外の添加剤とを含んでいる。
図1に示す本実施の形態の電線10は、例えば、以下のように製造される。まず、前述した難燃性樹脂組成物を構成する(A)ベースポリマと、(B)難燃剤と、(C)難燃剤以外の添加剤とを溶融混練し、本実施の形態の難燃性樹脂組成物を得る。
図1に示す本実施の形態に係る難燃性絶縁電線10の特徴の一つは、ベースポリマとして、(A1)エチレン−エチルアクリレート共重合体と、(A2)塩素化ポリエチレンとを用い、EA量および塩素含有量をそれぞれ所定の範囲とすることで、引張特性(可撓性)および耐熱性を向上させることができる。
以下、本発明を実施例に基づいてさらに詳しく説明するが、本発明はこれらの実施例に限定されるものではない。
以下、実施例1〜実施例9の難燃性絶縁電線および比較例1〜比較例5の絶縁電線について説明する。実施例1〜実施例9の難燃性絶縁電線は、図1に示す難燃性絶縁電線10に対応する。すなわち、難燃性絶縁電線10の絶縁層2は、本実施の形態の難燃性樹脂組成物からなる。また、比較例1〜比較例5の絶縁電線の形状は、図1に示す難燃性絶縁電線10と同様であるが、この絶縁層2は本実施の形態の難燃性樹脂組成物とは異なる組成の樹脂組成物からなる。実施例1〜実施例9の難燃性樹脂組成物の組成を表2に、比較例1〜比較例5の樹脂組成物の組成を表3に示している。
実施例1〜実施例9および比較例1〜比較例5で用いた材料を表1に示す。
(1)難燃性
作製した難燃性絶縁電線に対して、難燃性規格UL1581に規定される垂直難燃試験VW−1を3回行い、3回とも合格したものを「○」とし、1回でも不合格となるものを「×」とした。
作製した電線から導体を引き抜いて絶縁層のみのサンプルとし、このサンプルを158℃のギアオーブンに168時間暴露し、初期の引張強度および伸びと、暴露後の引張強度および伸びとを比較した。具体的には、次に示す式により引張強度残率(%)および伸び残率(%)を計算し、引張強度残率および伸び残率の両方が80%以上となるものを「○」とし、これらのいずれかを満たさないもの、または、これらのいずれも満たさないものを「×」とした。

伸び残率(%)=100×(上記暴露後の伸び)/(初期の伸び)
作製した難燃性絶縁電線から導体を引き抜いて絶縁層のみのサンプルとし、このサンプルの引張強度(MPa)および伸び(%)を、標線間25mm、引張速度500mm/分の条件で測定した。また、このサンプルの伸びが100%になるまで引っ張った際の引張強度(MPa)を測定した。引張強度、伸びおよび伸び100%時の引張強度の要求特性は、それぞれ15MPa以上、320%以上および11MPa以下として、これらをいずれも満たすものを「○」とし、いずれかを満たさないもの、または、いずれも満たさないものを「×」とした。
表2に実施例1〜実施例9の組成および評価結果を示す。
表3に比較例1〜比較例5の組成および評価結果を示す。
本実施の形態においては、実施の形態1で説明した難燃性樹脂組成物のケーブルへの適用について説明する。
図2は、本発明の一実施の形態に係るケーブル20を示す横断面図である。図2に示すように、本実施の形態に係るケーブル(難燃性ケーブル)20は、前述の電線10を3本撚り合わせた撚り線と、この撚り線の周囲に設けられた介在4と、介在4の周囲に設けられた巻きテープ5と、巻きテープ5の周囲に設けられたシース3とを備えている。シース3は、汎用の材料、例えば、塩化ビニル樹脂、フッ素樹脂またはポリエチレンなどのポリオレフィンを用いることができる。

Claims (6)
- ベースポリマと、難燃剤とを含む難燃性樹脂組成物であって、
前記ベースポリマは、エチレン−エチルアクリレート共重合体と、塩素化ポリエチレンとを含み、
前記難燃剤は、臭素系難燃剤と、三酸化アンチモンと、水酸化マグネシウムと、スズ酸亜鉛のうちの3種以上を含み、
前記難燃剤は、前記ベースポリマ100質量部に対して、60質量部以上110質量部以下であり、
前記エチレン−エチルアクリレート共重合体のエチルアクリレート含有量は、前記ベースポリマの総量に対して、7質量%以上22質量%以下であり、
前記塩素化ポリエチレンの塩素含有量は、前記ベースポリマの総量に対して、1質量%以上10質量%以下である、難燃性樹脂組成物。 - 請求項1記載の難燃性樹脂組成物において、
前記難燃性樹脂組成物は、前記難燃剤以外の添加剤を含み、
前記難燃剤以外の添加剤は、安定剤、金属害防止剤、充填剤、滑剤、架橋剤および架橋助剤から選択される、難燃性樹脂組成物。 - 請求項2記載の難燃性樹脂組成物において、
前記難燃剤以外の添加剤の総量は、前記ベースポリマ100質量部に対して、12質量部以上28質量部以下である、難燃性樹脂組成物。 - 導体と、前記導体の周囲に被覆される絶縁層と、を有する難燃性絶縁電線であって、
前記絶縁層は、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の難燃性樹脂組成物により形成されている、難燃性絶縁電線。 - 絶縁電線と、前記絶縁電線を被覆するシースと、を有する難燃性ケーブルであって、
前記絶縁電線として、請求項4に記載の難燃性絶縁電線を有する、難燃性ケーブル。 - 絶縁電線と、前記絶縁電線を被覆するシースと、を有する難燃性ケーブルであって、
前記シースは、請求項1乃至3のいずれか1項に記載の難燃性樹脂組成物により形成されている、難燃性ケーブル。
