【解決手段】物品表面の付着物を除去する方法であって、物品の対象面を流動床に浸漬するステップを有する、付着物除去方法。

Description
一方、3Dプリンタを用いて様々な物品が製造されている。3Dプリンタの方式の一例として、粉体と、結着剤を用いて粉体の成形体を製造する、粉末固着式積層法などが挙げられる。近年、当該3Dプリンタを用いて上記中子を成形することが検討されている。
物品表面の付着物を除去する方法であって、
物品の対象面を流動床に浸漬するステップを有することを特徴とする。
前記物品を置台に載置し、
前記置台を下降させて流動床に浸漬させるステップを有していてもよい。
本付着物除去方法は、当該流動床22に物品10の付着物除去対象面を浸漬することで、流動性の高い固体粒子が当該対象面と接触する。このとき、対象面上の付着物がこすり取られ、あるいは対象面が研磨されて、付着物が除去される。
本付着物除去方法によれば、このように容易に付着物の除去を行うことができる。本方法によれば、付着物の除去にかかる時間を短縮できる。また、本方法によれば複雑な形状の物品であっても流動床の固体粒子が入り込むため、付着物が除去されて、付着物の除去ムラが抑制される。更に本方法によれば、ショットブラストなどと比較して固体粒子が物品に穏やかに接触するため、物品が粉体の成形体などのように比較的脆い物品の場合であっても、物品の欠けや破損、削りすぎなどの問題が抑制される。
なお、粉末固着式積層法は、まず、造形ステージ上に1層分の厚みで粉体を敷き詰め、インクジェット方式などにより当該粉体上に結着剤を所定の形状に塗布して固める。次いで前記の層に更に1層分の粉体を積層し同様の方法で2層目以降を形成して、成形品を得る方法である。当該粉末固着式積層法で得られる成形品は、表面に未硬化の粉体が付着し易いが、本付着物除去方法によれば当該粉体を容易に除去することができる。
なお、固体粒子の粒度や、気体の流量を変更することで、流動床の付着物除去性能を調整できる。
浸漬中の物品は静止させていてもよく、物品を破損しない範囲で揺動してもよい。揺動することで、更に付着物の除去効果が向上する。揺動方法としては、例えば、公知のバイブレータ、ノッカー、シリンダなどを用いて、後述する置台(図4参照)を揺動する方法などが挙げられる。
図4の例では、リフター30が備えられている点が、図2の例と相違する。当該リフター30は、物品10を載置する置台31と、保持具32を備えている。なお図4中で浸漬前の物品、置台、保持具にはそれぞれ10a、31a、32aの符号を付している。
置台31は、流動床22が物品10に接触しやすい点から、開口部を有するものが好ましい。具体的には、網状、枠体状のものや、パンチングメタルなどが挙げられる。
保持具32は、物品の転倒を防止するとともに、置台との接触面積を減らして付着物除去効果を高めるために用いられる。更に、対象面に凹凸の多い物品において、凹凸面を下向きに配置する際に好適に用いられる。保持具32は物品10の形状に応じて適宜調整すればよい。置台31にパンチングメタルを用いる場合には、保持具32に当該パンチングメタルの開口部のピッチに合わせた凸部を有するものを用いることで、形状の異なる物品に対して保持具32の調整を容易に行うことができる。また、物品が粉体成形品などの場合には、保持具32の物品との接触面に緩衝材を設けることが好ましい。緩衝材としてはウレタン材やゴムなどが挙げられる。

- 物品表面の付着物を除去する方法であって、
物品の対象面を流動床に浸漬するステップを有する、
付着物除去方法。 - 前記浸漬するステップが、
前記物品を置台に載置し、
前記置台を下降させて流動床に浸漬させるステップを有する、
請求項1に記載の付着物除去方法。 - 前記物品が、粉体と、結着剤とを含む成形体である、
請求項1又は2に記載の付着物除去方法。 - 前記物品が、粉末固着式積層法で得られた成形体である、
請求項1乃至3のいずれか一項に記載の付着物除去方法。 - 前記物品が、鋳造用の中子である、
請求項1乃至4のいずれか一項に記載の付着物除去方法。
