位置検出信号S4の生成手法は、ホール素子を利用したものに限定されない。たとえばモータ120のロータの位置を検出する光学式、あるいはその他の方式のロータリーエンコーダやレゾルバを利用して、位置検出信号S4を生成してもよい。あるいはブレード112の裏側に設けられたフォトセンサと、ブレード112の表面側からフォトセンサに向かって光を照射する位置検出用の光源と、を含んでもよい。そしてブレード112に、スリットあるいはピンホールを設けてもよい。これにより、スリットあるいはピンホールが、フォトセンサの上を通過するタイミングを検出できる。スリットは、2枚のブレード112の間隙であってもよい。また位置検出用の光源は、赤外線光源を利用してもよいし、光源110であってもよい。このように位置検出信号S4の生成方法には、さまざまなバリエーションが存在しうる。
実施の形態では、モータ120の回転開始から2サイクルを、スタートアップ期間TSTARTとしたが、スタートアップ期間TSTARTをそれより長くとってもよい。たとえば回転開始から3サイクル、あるいは4サイクルの間をスタートアップ期間TSTARTとしてもよい。
実施の形態では2枚のブレード112の場合を説明したが、ブレードの枚数は限定されず、1枚であってもよいし、3枚以上であってもよい。また実施の形態では、ブレード112を回転運動させる場合を説明したが、ブレード112は往復運動させてもよい。
光源110としては、LEDの他に、LD(レーザダイオード)や有機EL(エレクトロルミネッセンス)などの半導体光源を用いてもよい。
走査型光源100の構成にもさまざまな変形例が存在する。実施の形態では、反射体としてブレード112を採用したが、それに限定されない。図10(a)、(b)は、走査型光源100の変形例を示す図である。図10(a)および(b)の走査型光源100a、10bは、図1と同様に、光源110と反射体112aの組み合わせである。図10(a)の反射体112aはポリゴンミラーである。反射体112aはガルバノミラーであってもよい。図10(b)の反射体112bはMEMS(Micro Electro Mechanical Systems)スキャンミラーである。
図11(a)、(b)は、第6変形例に係る走査型光源100c,100dを備える灯具システムのブロック図である。図11(a)の走査型光源100cにおいて光源110には、アクチュエータ140が取り付けられており、アクチュエータ140によって光源110の光軸がスイブル(あるいはレベリング)可能となっている。

Claims (5)
- 半導体光源およびモータを含み、前記モータの運動に応じて前記半導体光源の出射光を灯具前方で走査する走査型光源と、
通常点灯期間中、前記モータの運動と同期して、所定の配光パターンが得られるように前記半導体光源の光量を変化させる点灯回路と、
を備え、
前記点灯回路は、前記モータの停止期間にパッシングの点灯指示を受けると、前記モータの運動を開始するとともに、前記通常点灯期間に移行するまでのスタートアップ期間、前記モータの運動と非同期で前記半導体光源を連続点灯させることを特徴とする車両用灯具。 - 前記点灯回路は、前記通常点灯期間中、走査周期の区切れ目において前記半導体光源を消灯し、前記スタートアップ期間中、前記走査周期の区切れ目において前記半導体光源の点灯を維持することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記スタートアップ期間は、前記モータの運動開始後の所定数の走査周期を含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記点灯回路は、前記モータの停止期間に通常の点灯指示を受けると、前記モータの運動を開始するとともに、前記スタートアップ期間中、前記半導体光源を消灯することを特徴とする請求項1から3のいずれかに記載の車両用灯具。
- 前記モータは回転式であり、
前記走査型光源は、前記モータに取り付けられる反射体をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の車両用灯具。
