Claims (4)
- 運転者に対して虚像を表示するヘッドアップディスプレイであって、
バックライト、液晶パネル、及び液晶パネルにおける映像光の出射面の周囲を保持するプレートを含む映像表示装置と、
前記液晶パネルから出射した映像光が透過するレンズ及び前記映像光を反射して前記映像光の光路を形成する凹面ミラーを含む虚像光学系と、
前記虚像光学系を収容する筐体と、
前記バックライトから発生する熱を放熱するヒートシンクと、を備え、
前記ヒートシンクは、前記ヒートシンクの少なくとも一部領域を前記筐体外に露出して配置され、
前記プレートは、空気よりも熱伝導率が大きい材質により形成され、直接又は空気よりも熱伝導率が大きい材質を媒介して前記出射面の周囲に固定される保持領域及び当該保持領域と前記ヒートシンクとを連結する中間領域を含み、前記中間領域における前記保持領域とは反対側の端部は、前記ヒートシンクに直接又は空気よりも熱伝導率が大きい材質を媒介して連結され、前記出射面から前記プレートを経由して前記ヒートシンクに至るまでの出射面排熱経路であって、前記出射面から空気を媒質として前記ヒートシンクに伝熱する伝熱経路よりも熱勾配が大きい出射面排熱経路が形成される、
ことを特徴とするヘッドアップディスプレイ。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッドアップディスプレイであって、
前記ヒートシンクは、前記出射面から出射する前記映像光の光路から退避した位置にあり、
前記プレートは、前記出射面の大きさと同じ又はそれよりも大きい開口部を備えた一つの部材により構成される、
ことを特徴とするヘッドアップディスプレイ。 - 請求項2に記載のヘッドアップディスプレイであって、
前記ヒートシンクは、前記出射面の延長面と交わる位置に配置され、
前記プレートは、前記出射面の大きさと同じ又はそれよりも大きい開口部を備えた平面状部材により構成される、
ことを特徴とするヘッドアップディスプレイ。 - 請求項1に記載のヘッドアップディスプレイであって、
前記ヒートシンクは、前記筐体の外に露出するフィンと、前記筐体内に収容され前記フィンに前記バックライトの熱を伝熱する伝熱板と、を含み、
前記バックライトは、前記伝熱板に接触させて配置される、
ことを特徴とするヘッドアップディスプレイ。
