Abstract
Description
CaMg(CO3)2 → CaCO3+MgCO3
この炭酸カルシウム(CaCO3)を水に懸濁させると、pH9〜pH10程度のアルカリ性を示す。さらに825℃に近い高温では、次の化学反応式によって、炭酸カルシウムから酸化カルシウム(CaO)が生成することが考えられる。
CaCO3 → CaO+CO2
この酸化カルシウムは水に溶解し、水酸化カルシウムの水溶液となってpH12程度の強アルカリ性を示す。つまりセピオライト中のドロマイト起源のカルシウム含有分が高温で焼成されて、焼成セピオライトのアルカリ性を示すもととなっていることが考えられる。

工業的な生産では、水酸化ナトリウム(NaOH)を多く投入して反応するため、水酸化ナトリウムがすべて亜塩素酸ナトリウムになることはなく、製品には常に未反応の水酸化ナトリウムが残っている。また製造工場により未反応の水酸ナトリウムの含有量は異なるものの、それを「亜塩素酸ナトリウム」という。
CaMg(CO3)2 → CaCO3+MgCO3
さらに825℃に近い高温では、次の化学反応式によって炭酸カルシウムから酸化カルシウム(CaO)が生成することが考えられる。
CaCO3 → CaO+CO2
炭酸カルシウムおよび酸化カルシウムはアルカリ性であり、焼成セピオライトのアルカリ性のもととなっていると考えられる。
例えばドロマイトを高温で焼成すると、下記の化学式で示す様に炭酸カルシウムを生成すると考えられる。
CaMg(CO3)2 → CaCO3+MgCO3
さらに825℃に近い高温では、次の化学反応式によって炭酸カルシウムから酸化カルシウム(CaO)が生成することが考えられる。
CaCO3 → CaO+CO2
この炭酸カルシウムおよび酸化カルシウムはアルカリ性を示す。焼成セピオライトのカルシウムの含有量および表面のアルカリ性が二酸化塩素剤の二酸化塩素発生反応に影響することが判明した。そのため焼成後のセピオライト中のカルシウム含有量は、5重量%未満であることが好ましく、さらに好ましくは4重量%以下、さらになお好ましくは3重量%以下である。セピオライトのカルシウム含有量の測定方法は特に限定されないが、例えば、ICP発光分析、あるいはICP−MS分析、蛍光X線分析などを用いて測定することができる。また本発明の二酸化塩素剤に用いるセピオライトはドロマイトなどの焼成後アルカリ性を示す成分が無いか若しくは少量のため、焼成後のセピオライトはアルカリ性が弱く、中性〜弱アルカリ性を示す。

Claims (7)
- 密着法による測定で、pH7以上且つpH10未満の中性〜弱アルカリ性の表面を有する焼成セピオライトからなる多孔質担体に、亜塩素酸塩とアルカリ剤とを担持させてなる二酸化塩素剤。
- 前記焼成セピオライトのカルシウム含有量が5重量%未満である、請求項1に記載の二酸化塩素剤。
- 前記亜塩素酸塩が、亜塩素酸ナトリウム、亜塩素酸マグネシウムまたは亜塩素酸カリウムである請求項1または請求項2に記載の二酸化塩素剤。
- カルシウム含有量が5重量%未満のセピオライトを600〜800℃で焼成した多孔質担体に、亜塩素酸塩とアルカリ剤とを、それぞれ個別にまたは混合して含む水溶液を含浸させ、その後、乾燥することを特徴とする二酸化塩素剤の製造方法。
- pH7以上且つpH10未満の中性〜弱アルカリ性である焼成セピオライトからなる多孔質担体に、亜塩素酸塩とアルカリ剤とを、それぞれ個別にまたは混合して含む水溶液を含浸させ、その後、乾燥することを特徴とする二酸化塩素剤の製造方法。
- 前記亜塩素酸塩を含む水溶液がアルカリ性である請求項4または請求項5に記載の二酸化塩素剤の製造方法。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の二酸化塩素剤を、保管時および使用前には空気中の水蒸気を遮断する袋に封入し、使用時には空気中の水蒸気と接触させることを特徴とする、二酸化塩素の発生方法。
