Abstract
Description
発酵性炭素源を含む発酵培地を発酵反応器に供給する工程、
アルカリ性マグネシウム塩の存在下で乳酸産生微生物によって発酵培地を発酵させて乳酸マグネシウムを含有する発酵ブロスを得る工程、及び
乳酸マグネシウムを含有する発酵ブロスから固体乳酸マグネシウムを回収する工程
を含んでおり、当該発酵方法の操作時間の40%以上の期間、発酵ブロス中の固体乳酸マグネシウム濃度が、発酵ブロスの全量に対する固体乳酸マグネシウム結晶として計算して、5〜40体積%の範囲内に維持される、方法に関する。
本発明に係る乳酸マグネシウム発酵を以下の通り実施した。炭素源としてのスクロースを追加の栄養素及び水と共に発酵反応器に導入して、発酵培地を形成した。この発酵培地を、所定のpH及び温度を含む発酵条件に導いた。培地に乳酸産生微生物を播種した。発酵中、発酵培地のpHをモニターし、水酸化マグネシウムスラリーの添加により所定の値に保った。基質としてのスクロースを発酵培地に連続的に添加した。
Claims (15)
- 炭素源から乳酸マグネシウムを製造するための発酵方法であって、
発酵性炭素源を含む発酵培地を発酵反応器に供給する工程、
アルカリ性マグネシウム塩の存在下で乳酸産生微生物によって発酵培地を発酵させて乳酸マグネシウムを含有する発酵ブロスを得る工程、及び
乳酸マグネシウムを含有する発酵ブロスから固体乳酸マグネシウムを回収する工程
を含んでおり、当該発酵方法の操作時間の40%以上の期間、発酵ブロス中の固体乳酸マグネシウムの濃度が、発酵ブロスの全量に対する固体乳酸マグネシウム結晶として計算して、5〜40体積%の範囲内に維持される、方法。 - 発酵ブロス中の固体乳酸マグネシウムの濃度が、操作時間の上記割合の期間、5〜35体積%の範囲内、特に10〜30体積%の範囲内、幾つかの実施形態では10〜25体積%の範囲内にある、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 発酵ブロス中の固体乳酸マグネシウムの濃度が、操作時間の上記割合の期間、15〜40体積%の範囲内、特に15〜35体積%の範囲内、さらには15〜30体積%の範囲内、幾つかの実施形態では15〜25体積%の範囲内にある、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 発酵ブロス中の固体乳酸マグネシウムの濃度が、操作時間の上記割合の期間、20〜40体積%の範囲内、特に20〜35体積%の範囲内、さらには20〜30体積%の範囲内、幾つかの実施形態では20〜25体積%の範囲内にある、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 当該発酵方法の操作時間の60%以上の期間、好ましくは操作時間の70%以上の期間、さらに好ましくは操作時間の80%以上の期間、場合によっては操作時間の90%以上の期間、発酵ブロス中の固体乳酸マグネシウムの濃度が上記に規定する範囲内に維持される、請求項1乃至請求項4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 当該方法が、回分法、流加法又は連続法である、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 当該方法が、操作時間の70%以上の期間、好ましくは操作時間の80%以上の期間、さらに好ましくは操作時間の90%以上の期間、固体乳酸マグネシウムの濃度が上記に規定する範囲内に維持される連続法である、請求項6に記載の方法。
- 発酵ブロスから乳酸マグネシウムを回収する工程が、発酵反応器から固体乳酸マグネシウムを含む発酵ブロスを抜き取る工程、及び発酵ブロスから固体乳酸マグネシウムを除去する工程を含む、請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 固体乳酸マグネシウムが除去された発酵ブロスが発酵反応器に再循環される、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 発酵ブロスから乳酸マグネシウムを回収する工程が、複数の別個の工程で間欠的に実施される、請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 発酵ブロスから乳酸マグネシウムを回収する工程が、連続的に実施される、請求項1乃至請求項9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 当該発酵方法が連続発酵法であって、発酵ブロスから乳酸マグネシウムを回収する工程が連続的に実施され、操作時間の70%以上の期間、好ましくは操作時間の80%以上の期間、さらに好ましくは操作時間の90%以上の期間、固体乳酸マグネシウムの濃度が上記に規定する範囲内に好ましくは維持される、請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 乳酸マグネシウムが、精製乳酸マグネシウムを生じる精製工程、例えば再結晶工程に付される、請求項1乃至請求項12のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 乳酸マグネシウムが、例えばイオン交換法又は酸性化によって、乳酸に転化され、但し酸性化の後には、酸性化工程で生成したマグネシウム塩から乳酸を分離する工程が続く、これにより例えば乳酸水溶液が得られ、該乳酸水溶液を任意には精製工程又は濃縮工程の1以上に付すことができる、請求項1乃至請求項13のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 乳酸が、精製乳酸の形成をもたらす1以上の精製工程、例えば蒸留工程、固体結晶物としての乳酸の形成をもたらす結晶化工程、又は乳酸オリゴマーの形成をもたらすオリゴマー化工程に付されるか、或いはラクチドに、又は直接にもしくはラクチドを介してポリ乳酸に転化される、請求項14に記載の方法。
