Abstract
trata-se de um processo de fermentação para produzir lactato de magnésio a partir de uma fonte de carbono que compreende as etapas de: - fornecer um meio de fermentação que compreende uma fonte de carbono fermentável em um reator de fermentação, - fermentar o meio de fermentação por meio de um microrganismo que produz ácido lático na presença de um sal de magnésio alcalino para fornecer um caldo de fermentação que compreende lactato de magnésio, e - recuperar o lactato de magnésio sólido a partir do caldo de fermentação que contém lactato de magnésio, em que, durante pelo menos 40% do tempo de operação do processo de fermentação, a concentração de lactato de magnésio sólido no caldo de fermentação é mantida na faixa de 5 a 40% em volume, calculada como cristais de lactato de magnésio sólido no total do caldo de fermentação. o processo da invenção permite operação estável em alta produtividade, em combinação com separação de produto eficiente.
