Abstract
Description
(a)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最上層と;
(b)芳香族ポリアミド繊維および接着助剤を含む布から構成される布層と;
(c)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最下層と
を含む熱可塑性複合ラミネートであって、
最上層(a)が布層(b)の第1表面に接着されており、および最下層(c)が布層(b)の第2表面に接着されており;
芳香族ポリアミド繊維が、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)ホモポリマー、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)コポリマー、ポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)ホモポリマー、ポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)コポリマー、ポリスルホンアミドホモポリマー、ポリスルホンアミドコポリマー、またはそれらの混合物から製造され;
接着助剤が、ポリカーボネート樹脂の分解から誘導されるポリカーボネートオリゴマーを含み、およびポリカーボネートオリゴマーが約6500以下の重量平均分子量(Mw)を有し;および
熱可塑性複合ラミネートが、布層(b)のための接着助剤なしで同じ布を有する比較ラミネートのせん断強度と比べて約30%以上のせん断強度の増加を有し、せん断強度がGB7124の方法に従って測定される、熱可塑性複合ラミネートを提供する。
本発明において、最上層(a)または最下層(c)として使用するのに好適なポリカーボネートシートは、ポリカーボネート樹脂、好ましくは芳香族ポリカーボネート樹脂を含むか、それらから本質的になるか、それらからなるか、またはそれらから製造される。
のビスフェノールA型ポリカーボネート樹脂を含むか、それから本質的になるか、それからなるか、またはそれから製造される。
本明細書で用いる場合、接着助剤で処理する前の布層(b)として使用するための布は「未処理布」と言われる。
本発明の熱可塑性複合ラミネート100は、順に、(a)最上層11と、(b)布層12と、(c)最下層13とを含み、ここで、布層(b)は、第1表面121と第2表面122とを有する。図1に示されるように、最上層(a)は、布層(b)の第1表面に接着されており、および最下層(c)は、布層(b)の第2表面に接着されている。
ポリカーボネートシート(P1):商品名LEXAN(登録商標)8B35でSABICから購入したポリカーボネートシート;このシートは、100cmの幅、約0.175mmの厚さ、および160℃のビカット軟化温度を有する。
コーティング組成物1(CC1):いかなる接着助剤もなしにジクロロメタンを含有する。
工程A.布処理
未処理布の一片(15cm×15cm)を2時間約120℃においてオーブン中で乾燥させ、次にその未処理質量(W0)を測定するために天秤上に置いた。未処理布を、周囲温度で約10分間指定のコーティング組成物(約20mL)を含有するアルミナトレイ中に完全に漬け、次にコーティング組成物浴から取り去った。湿潤布を液体が約30秒間まったく滴らなくなるまで垂直につるし、次にオーブン中へ入れ、約120℃で2時間乾燥させた。乾燥布を室温に冷却し、秤量した。
AA質量%=[(Wn−W0)/Wn]×100
(式中、W0は、処理前の布の質量であり、および
Wnは、最終処理後の布の質量である)
によって計算した。
実施例および比較例のラミネートは、金型(2つの35cm×35cm×1.5cmのステンレス鋼板から構成される)を備えたホットプレッシング機(PHIによって製造された)を用いるホットプレッシングによって調製した。
分子量測定:コーティング組成物CC1およびCC3〜CC5のMwは、テトラヒドロフランを溶離剤として(30℃、流量は1mL/分であった)、ポリスチレンを標準として使用する、RI検出器およびStryragel(登録商標)HR 1カラム(Watersによって販売される、5μm、7.8mm×300mm)のWaters eAlliance 2695/2414でのゲル浸透クロマトグラフィー(GPC)によって測定した。
ΔS%=[(Sn−S0)/S0]×100
(式中、S0は、参考例のせん断強度であり;および
Snは、比較する例のせん断強度である)
によって計算した。
(a)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最上層と;
(b)芳香族ポリアミド繊維および接着助剤を含む布から構成される布層と;
(c)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最下層と
を含み、
最上層(a)は、布層(b)の第1表面に接着されており、および最下層(c)は、布層(b)の第2表面に接着されており;
芳香族ポリアミド繊維は、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)ホモポリマー、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)コポリマー、またはそれらの混合物から製造され;
接着助剤は、約500〜約6500、または約750〜約5100、または約1000〜約4000の重量平均分子量(Mw)を有するポリカーボネートオリゴマーを含み;および
布中に存在する接着助剤の量は、布の総質量を基準として約5質量%〜約70質量%、または約6質量%〜約50質量%、または約7質量%〜約40質量%、または約8質量%〜約30質量%である。
(a)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最上層と;
(b)芳香族ポリアミド繊維および接着助剤を含む布から構成される布層と;
(c)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最下層と
を含み、
最上層(a)は、布層(b)の第1表面に接着されており、および最下層(c)は、布層(b)の第2表面に接着されており;
芳香族ポリアミド繊維は、ポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)ホモポリマー、ポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)コポリマー、またはそれらの混合物から製造され;
接着助剤は、約500〜約6500、または約750〜約5100、または約1000〜約4000の重量平均分子量(Mw)を有するポリカーボネートオリゴマーを含み;および
布中に存在する接着助剤の量は、布の総質量を基準として約5質量%〜約70質量%、または約6質量%〜約50質量%、または約7質量%〜約40質量%、または約8質量%〜約30質量%である。
Claims (11)
- 順に、
(a)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最上層と;
(b)芳香族ポリアミド繊維および接着助剤を含む布から構成される布層と;
(c)少なくとも1つのポリカーボネートシートから構成される最下層と
を含む熱可塑性複合ラミネートであって、
前記最上層(a)が前記布層(b)の第1表面に接着されており、および前記最下層(c)が前記布層(b)の第2表面に接着されており;
前記芳香族ポリアミド繊維が、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)ホモポリマー、ポリ(p−フェニレンテレフタルアミド)コポリマー、ポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)ホモポリマー、ポリ(m−フェニレンイソフタルアミド)コポリマー、ポリスルホンアミドホモポリマー、ポリスルホンアミドコポリマー、またはそれらの混合物から製造され;
前記接着助剤が、約6500以下の重量平均分子量を有するポリカーボネートオリゴマーを含み;
前記熱可塑性複合ラミネートが、前記布層(b)に使われる前記接着助剤なしの同じ布を有する比較ラミネートのせん断強度と比べて約30%以上のせん断強度の増加を有し、前記せん断強度がGB7124の方法に従って測定される、熱可塑性複合ラミネート。 - 前記熱可塑性複合ラミネートの全厚さが約0.1mm〜約10mmである、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合ラミネート。
- 前記布層(b)のための前記布が約5質量%〜約70質量%の量で前記接着助剤を含有し、前記質量%が前記布の総質量を基準とする、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合ラミネート。
- 前記布層(b)のための前記布が、
i)コーティング組成物を未処理布上へ塗布して湿潤布を得る工程と;
ii)前記湿潤布を約5分〜約180分間にわたって周囲温度〜約150℃の範囲の温度で乾燥させる工程と;
を含み、
iii)前記コーティング組成物を工程ii)の前記乾燥布上へ塗布するか、または工程ii)の前記乾燥布をリンスし、かつ工程ii)を繰り返すことによって乾燥させる工程
を含んでもよい方法によって製造され、
前記工程iii)が、好適な量の前記接着助剤を含有する処理布を得るために数回繰り返されてもよく;
前記コーティング組成物が接着助剤および溶媒を含み;
前記溶媒がメタノール、エタノール、2−プロパノール、ジクロロメタン、クロロホルム、テトラヒドロフラン、またはそれらの混合物であり、
前記接着助剤が、約6500以下の平均分子量を有するポリカーボネートオリゴマーを含み;および
前記コーティング組成物中の前記接着助剤の量が、前記コーティング組成物の総質量を基準として約1質量%〜約20質量%である、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合ラミネート。 - 前記コーティング組成物を前記未処理布上へ塗布する方法がディッピング、浸漬、漬けること、または吹き付けである、請求項6に記載の熱可塑性複合ラミネート。
- 前記未処理布の面密度が約20g/m2〜約660g/m2である、請求項6に記載の熱可塑性複合ラミネート。
- ホットプレッシング、熱圧縮成形、オートクレーブ成形、および二重ベルトホットメルトプレッシングから選択される方法によって製造される、請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合ラミネート。
- 請求項1に記載の熱可塑性複合ラミネートを含む物品。
- 携帯電子デバイスのためのハウジングもしくは保護カバー、旅行かばんのためのシェル、自動コントロールパネルのための装飾部品、またはスノーボードのための表面板である、請求項10に記載の物品。
