Abstract
Description
本出願は、その開示全体を参照によって本明細書に援用する2015年12月29日に出願した米国特許仮出願第62/272,183号明細書、及び、2015年12月17日に出願した米国特許仮出願第62/268,816号明細書の優先権を主張するものである。
複数のチャネルを形成する電極及び振動子を提供するステップであり、複数のチャネルは、電極及び振動子を通って延びる、ステップ;患者の表面上又はその付近に振動子を置くステップ;及び、電極及び振動子にエネルギーを与え、同時に、複数のチャネルを介して薬物を流すステップ;を含む。一実施形態では、電極は複数の電極であり、当該方法は、複数の電極を独立して駆動させるステップを含む。一実施形態では、振動子には、超音波周波数で振動するようにエネルギーが与えられる。一実施形態では、当該方法は、置くステップの後に、複数のチャネルを介した薬物の前進を作動させるステップを含む。
Claims (24)
- 薬物を投与するための医療機器であって、
前記薬物を貯蔵するためのリザーバと、
電極に電気的に結合された電流ドライバと、
振動子に電気的に結合された発振ドライバと、
を含み、前記電極は、前記リザーバと流体連通する少なくとも1つのチャネルを形成する、医療機器。 - 前記電極は、前記リザーバと流体連通する複数のチャネルを形成する、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記振動子は、前記複数のチャネルの一部を形成する、請求項2に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極及び前記振動子は、互いに接触している、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルの近位部分を形成し、前記振動子は、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルの遠位部分を形成する、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、前記リザーバと流体連通する複数のチャネルを形成する複数の電極のうちの1つである、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項6に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルから前記電極を電気的に絶縁する絶縁層を含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、当該医療機器から取り外し可能である、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記振動子は圧電素子である、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記振動子は、複数の振動子のうちの1つである、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記振動子の遠位端は非平面を含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記発振ドライバは、超音波周波数で前記振動子を振動させるように構成される、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 当該医療機器のハンドル部分の周辺に同軸上に配置された接地電極をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記リザーバは、被包された単位用量である、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記被包された単位用量を破裂させる穿孔要素をさらに含む、請求項15に記載の医療機器。
- 迅速な歯科麻酔、及び、歯及び口の状態の治療のために構成され、前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 皮内送達による皮膚障害の治療のために構成され、前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 薬物又は治療薬の迅速な経皮送達による全身状態の治療のために構成され、前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 組織にわたる治療物質の送達及びタイミングを制御するように構成されたプログラム可能なコントローラをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 薬物を投与する方法であって、
少なくとも1つのチャネルを形成する電極及び振動子を提供するステップであり、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルは、前記電極及び振動子を通って延びる、ステップと、
患者の表面上又はその付近に前記振動子を置くステップと、
前記電極及び前記振動子にエネルギーを与え、同時に、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルを介して薬物を送達するステップと、
を含む方法。 - 前記電極及び振動子が複数のチャネルを形成し、前記複数のチャネルは、前記電極及び振動子を通って延び、前記エネルギーを与えるステップは、同時に、前記複数のチャネルを介して薬物を送達することを含む、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記電極は複数の電極であり、当該方法は、前記複数の電極のそれぞれを独立して駆動させるステップをさらに含む、請求項21に記載の方法。
- 前記置くステップの後で、前記複数のチャネルを介した前記薬物の送達を作動させるステップをさらに含む、請求項21に記載の方法。
