Description
本出願は、その開示全体を参照によって本明細書に援用する2015年12月29日に出願した米国特許仮出願第62/272,183号明細書、及び、2015年12月17日に出願した米国特許仮出願第62/268,816号明細書の優先権を主張するものである。
複数のチャネルを形成する電極及び振動子を提供するステップであり、複数のチャネルは、電極及び振動子を通って延びる、ステップ;患者の表面上又はその付近に振動子を置くステップ;及び、電極及び振動子にエネルギーを与え、同時に、複数のチャネルを介して薬物を流すステップ;を含む。一実施形態では、電極は複数の電極であり、当該方法は、複数の電極を独立して駆動させるステップを含む。一実施形態では、振動子には、超音波周波数で振動するようにエネルギーが与えられる。一実施形態では、当該方法は、置くステップの後に、複数のチャネルを介した薬物の前進を作動させるステップを含む。
Claims (22)
- 薬物を投与するための医療機器であって、
前記薬物を貯蔵するためのリザーバと、
電極に電気的に結合された電流ドライバと、
振動子に電気的に結合された発振ドライバであり、前記振動子の遠位端が、非平面の遠位表面を含むことによって、標的組織と直接の振動的接触を有するように構成されている、発振ドライバと、
を含み、前記電極は、前記リザーバと流体連通する少なくとも1つのチャネルを形成し、前記チャネルは、前記非平面の遠位表面上に構成された構造的突起内で遠位に終わっている、医療機器。 - 前記電極は、前記リザーバと流体連通する複数のチャネルを形成する、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記振動子は、前記複数のチャネルの一部を形成する、請求項2に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極及び前記振動子は、互いに接触している、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルの近位部分を形成し、前記振動子は、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルの遠位部分を形成する、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、前記リザーバと流体連通する複数のチャネルを形成する複数の電極のうちの1つである、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項6に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルから前記電極を電気的に絶縁する絶縁層を含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記電極は、当該医療機器から取り外し可能である、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記振動子は圧電素子である、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記振動子は、複数の振動子のうちの1つである、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 当該医療機器のハンドル部分の周辺に同軸上に配置された接地電極をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記リザーバは、被包された単位用量である、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 前記被包された単位用量を破裂させる穿孔要素をさらに含む、請求項13に記載の医療機器。
- 迅速な歯科麻酔、及び、歯及び口の状態の治療のために構成され、前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項6に記載の医療機器。
- 皮内送達による皮膚障害の治療のために構成され、前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項6に記載の医療機器。
- 薬物又は治療薬の迅速な経皮送達による全身状態の治療のために構成され、前記複数の電極のそれぞれが、対応する電流ドライバによって独立して駆動される、請求項6に記載の医療機器。
- 組織にわたる治療物質の送達及びタイミングを制御するように構成されたプログラム可能なコントローラをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の医療機器。
- 薬物を投与するための医療機器の作動方法であって、前記医療機器は、
少なくとも1つのチャネルを形成する電極及び振動子であり、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルは、前記電極及び振動子を通って延びる、電極及び振動子を含み、
前記振動子は、患者の表面上又はその付近に置かれ、当該作動方法は、
コントローラが信号を調節して、前記電極及び前記振動子にエネルギーを与え、同時に、前記少なくとも1つのチャネルを介した薬物の送達を作動させるステップ
を含み、
前記コントローラは、前記医療機器の一部であるか、又は、前記医療機器に通信可能に結合された別の構成要素であり、
前記振動子の遠位端が、非平面の遠位表面を含むことによって、標的組織と直接の振動的接触を有するように構成され、さらに、
前記チャネルは、前記非平面の遠位表面上に構成された構造的突起内で遠位に終わっている、作動方法。 - 前記電極及び振動子が複数のチャネルを形成し、前記複数のチャネルは、前記電極及び振動子を通って延び、前記エネルギーを与えることは、同時に、前記複数のチャネルを介した薬物の送達を作動させることを含む、請求項19に記載の作動方法。
- 前記電極は複数の電極であり、当該作動方法は、前記コントローラが信号を調節して前記複数の電極のそれぞれを独立して駆動させるステップをさらに含む、請求項19に記載の作動方法。
- 前記コントローラが信号を調節して、前記振動子が所定の位置に置かれた後で、前記複数のチャネルを介した前記薬物の送達を作動させるステップをさらに含む、請求項20に記載の作動方法。
