Abstract
Description
Claims (9)
- 紫外線に応じて硬化する液体である紫外線硬化型液体を吐出する液体吐出装置であって、
複数のノズルが並ぶノズル列から前記紫外線硬化型液体を吐出する吐出ヘッドと、
予め設定された主走査方向へ移動しつつ液体を吐出する主走査動作を前記吐出ヘッドに行わせる走査駆動部と、
紫外線を発生する紫外線発生部と、
前記紫外線発生部に紫外線を発生させる光源駆動部と
を備え、
前記吐出ヘッドが前記主走査動作を行う場合、前記紫外線発生部は、前記吐出ヘッドと共に前記主走査方向へ移動しつつ紫外線を照射し、
前記ノズル列における前記複数のノズルは、前記主走査方向と直交する方向である副走査方向における位置が互いに異なるように並び、
前記紫外線発生部は、紫外線を発生するLED素子であるUVLED素子を複数有し、
前記紫外線発生部における複数の前記UVLED素子は、前記紫外線発生部による紫外線の発光範囲が副走査方向において前記ノズル列の範囲と重なるように配設されており、
前記発光範囲において、前記副走査方向における端部での紫外線の照度が中央部での照度よりも大きくなるように、前記光源駆動部は、前記複数の前記UVLED素子を駆動することを特徴とする液体吐出装置。 - 前記光源駆動部は、前記副走査方向における端部での紫外線の照度が前記中央部での照度の1.5〜2倍になるように、前記複数の前記UVLED素子を駆動することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の液体吐出装置。
- 前記液体吐出装置は、立体的な造形物を造形する造形装置であり、
前記吐出ヘッドは、前記造形物の造形に用いる前記紫外線硬化型液体を吐出することを特徴とする請求項1又は2に記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記走査駆動部は、造形中の前記造形物に対して相対的に前記副走査方向へ移動する副走査動作を更に前記吐出ヘッドに行わせ、
前記液体吐出装置は、前記紫外線硬化型液体で形成される層を複数層重ねて形成することにより、前記造形物を造形し、それぞれの前記層を、同じ位置に対して複数回の前記主走査動作を行うマルチパス方式で形成し、
一つの前記層を形成する間に行う複数の前記主走査動作のうち、少なくとも一部の回の前記主走査動作の合間に行う前記副走査動作として、前記走査駆動部は、前記副走査方向への移動量を前記副走査方向における前記ノズル列の長さの1/30以下にする前記副走査動作を前記吐出ヘッドに行わせることを特徴とする請求項3に記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記ノズル列の一端側の前記ノズルの前記副走査方向における位置を一端側ノズル位置とし、前記ノズル列の他端側の前記ノズルの前記副走査方向における位置を他端側ノズル位置とし、
前記紫外線発生部が有する複数の前記UVLED素子のうち、前記副走査方向における一方の側の最も端にある前記UVLED素子を一方側LEDとし、前記副走査方向における他方の側の最も端にある前記UVLED素子を他方側LEDとした場合、
前記一端側ノズル位置は、前記一方側LEDのいずれかの部分の前記副走査方向における位置と同じ位置になり、前記他端側ノズル位置は、前記他方側LEDのいずれかの部分の前記副走査方向における位置と同じ位置になることを特徴とする請求項1から4のいずれかに記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記一方側LEDの発光中心の前記副走査方向における位置は、前記一端側ノズル位置に合わせられており、
前記他方側LEDの発光中心の前記副走査方向における位置は、前記他端側ノズル位置に合わせられていることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記紫外線発生部において、前記複数の前記UVLED素子は、
前記副走査方向と平行な列方向、及び前記主走査方向と並行な行方向へ、アレイ状に並んでおり、
前記列方向における位置を揃えて前記行方向へ並ぶ複数の前記UVLED素子をUVLED素子の行と定義した場合、前記光源駆動部は、前記列方向における端の前記行に含まれる前記UVLED素子の照度が、前記列方向における中央部の前記行に含まれる前記UVLED素子の照度よりも大きくなるように、前記複数の前記UVLED素子を駆動することを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の液体吐出装置。 - 前記副走査方向における単位長さあたりの前記UVLED素子の数をLED密度と定義した場合、
前記紫外線発生部において、前記複数の前記UVLED素子は、前記副走査方向における端部での前記LED密度が中央部での密度よりも大きくなるように配設されていることを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれかに記載の液体吐出装置。 - 紫外線に応じて硬化する液体である紫外線硬化型液体を吐出する液体吐出方法であって、
複数のノズルが並ぶノズル列から前記紫外線硬化型液体を吐出する吐出ヘッドに、
予め設定された主走査方向へ移動しつつ液体を吐出する主走査動作を行わせ、
かつ、紫外線を発生する紫外線発生部に紫外線を発生させ、
前記吐出ヘッドに前記主走査動作を行わせる場合、前記紫外線発生部に、前記吐出ヘッドと共に前記主走査方向へ移動しつつ紫外線を照射させ、
前記ノズル列における前記複数のノズルは、前記主走査方向と直交する方向である副走査方向における位置が互いに異なるように並び、
前記紫外線発生部は、紫外線を発生するLED素子であるUVLED素子を複数有し、
前記紫外線発生部における複数の前記UVLED素子は、前記紫外線発生部による紫外線の発光範囲が副走査方向において前記ノズル列の範囲と重なるように配設されており、
前記発光範囲において、前記副走査方向における端部での紫外線の照度が中央部での照度よりも大きくなるように、前記複数の前記UVLED素子を駆動することを特徴とする液体吐出方法。
