Claims (9)
- 偏光板製造廃液からヨウ化カリウムを回収する偏光板製造廃液の処理方法であって、
偏光板製造廃液を濃縮した後に晶析を行うことで生成された析出物を固液分離して、ホウ素およびポリビニルアルコールを含む不純物が低減されたヨウ化カリウム溶液を生成する第1処理工程と、
得られたヨウ化カリウム溶液に残存するポリビニルアルコールをポリビニルアルコール吸着体に吸着させる第1不純物吸着工程と、
前記第1不純物吸着工程を経たヨウ化カリウム溶液に残存するホウ素をホウ素選択吸着樹脂に吸着させる第2不純物吸着工程とを備える偏光板製造廃液の処理方法。 - 前記第1処理工程と前記第1不純物吸着工程との間に、前記第1処理工程で得られたヨウ化カリウム溶液の前記不純物を更に低減する第2処理工程を備える請求項1に記載の偏光板製造廃液の処理方法。
- 前記第2処理工程は、前記第1処理工程で得られたヨウ化カリウム溶液を更に濃縮してヨウ化カリウム結晶を析出させる工程と、
析出されたヨウ化カリウム結晶を固液分離する工程と、
固液分離されたヨウ化カリウム結晶を洗浄して不純物が除去されたヨウ化カリウム結晶を回収する工程と、
回収したヨウ化カリウム結晶を溶媒に溶解させてヨウ化カリウム溶液を生成する工程とを備える請求項2に記載の偏光板製造廃液の処理方法。 - ヨウ化カリウム結晶の溶解による吸熱反応により飽和溶解度が低下して析出される不純物をろ過する工程を更に備える請求項3に記載の偏光板製造廃液の処理方法。
- 前記第2処理工程は、ヨウ化カリウム溶液に含まれるホウ素をカルシウムイオンと反応させることにより生成されたホウ酸カルシウムの沈殿物を除去する工程を備える請求項2に記載の偏光板製造廃液の処理方法。
- 前記第2処理工程は、ヨウ化カリウム溶液に残留するカルシウムイオンを炭酸イオンと反応させることにより生成された炭酸カルシウムの沈殿物を除去する工程を更に備える請求項5に記載の偏光板製造廃液の処理方法。
- 前記第1不純物吸着工程が行われるヨウ化カリウム溶液は、ホウ素の濃度が、100〜1000mg/Lであり、ポリビニルアルコールの濃度が、TOC換算で100〜500mg/Lである請求項1から6のいずれかに記載の偏光板製造廃液の処理方法。
- 偏光板製造廃液からヨウ化カリウムを回収する偏光板製造廃液の処理装置であって、
偏光板製造廃液を濃縮した後に晶析を行うことで生成された析出物を固液分離して、ホウ素およびポリビニルアルコールを含む不純物が低減されたヨウ化カリウム溶液を生成する第1処理装置と、
得られたヨウ化カリウム溶液に残存するポリビニルアルコールをポリビニルアルコール吸着体に吸着させる第1不純物吸着装置と、
前記第1不純物吸着装置を経たヨウ化カリウム溶液に残存するホウ素をホウ素選択吸着樹脂に吸着させる第2不純物吸着装置とを備える偏光板製造廃液の処理装置。 - 前記第1処理装置で得られたヨウ化カリウム溶液の前記不純物を更に低減する第2処理装置を備える請求項8に記載の偏光板製造廃液の処理装置。
