Abstract
Description
本出願は、米国特許出願第15/057768号(2016年3月1日出願)、及び同第15/397018号(2017年1月31日出願)に対応するものであり、両方ともに参照によりそれらの全体が組み込まれる。

(1) 内蔵型生物学的インジケータであって、
第1の頂部及び第1の底部を有し、第1体積の第1の増殖培地を含む第1のアンプルと、
第2の頂部及び第2の底部を有し、第2体積の第2の増殖培地を含む第2のアンプルと、
キャップと、を含み、
前記キャップが、前記第1のアンプル及び前記第2のアンプルの上方に配置され、前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルに隣接して配置され、前記第1の頂部が、前記第2の頂部よりも前記キャップに近接して配置されている、内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(2) インサートを更に含み、前記インサートの少なくとも一部が、前記第1のアンプル及び前記第2のアンプルの下方に配置され、前記第1の底部及び前記第2の底部が、前記インサートに接触する、実施態様1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(3) 前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルよりも長い、実施態様1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(4) 前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルよりも約1.3センチメートル〜3.8センチメートル(約0.5インチ〜1.5インチ)長い、実施態様3に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(5) 前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルよりも約2.5センチメートル(約1インチ)長い、実施態様4に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(7) 前記第1の面が、前記第2の面の約0.25センチメートル〜3.8センチメートル(約0.1インチ〜1.5インチ)上方に配置されている、実施態様6に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(8) 前記第1の面が、前記第2の面の約2センチメートル(約0.8インチ)上方に配置されている、実施態様7に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(9) 前記第1の頂部が、前記キャップに接触する、実施態様1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(10) 前記第1の増殖培地が、前記第2の増殖培地と同じである、実施態様1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(12) 前記第1体積が、前記第2体積を下回る、実施態様1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(13) 前記第1体積が、約50μL〜150μLであり、前記第2体積が、約150μL超である、実施態様12に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(14) 前記第1体積が、約100μLであり、前記第2体積が、約300μLである、実施態様13に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(15) 前記キャップに連結されたバイアルを更に含み、前記バイアル及びキャップが、舌部と、溝部と、を含む、実施態様1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(17) 前記停止面が、前記キャップの前記リムから約2センチメートル(約0.8インチ)に配置されている、実施態様16に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
(18) 滅菌サイクルが有効であるかどうかを判定する方法であって、
内蔵型生物学的インジケータを提供することであって、前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータが、
バイアルと、
第1の位置においてバイアルの上に配置されたキャップと、
前記キャップのすぐ下に配置され、かつ少なくとも部分的に前記バイアル内部に配置された第1のアンプルであって、第1の頂部を有し、約50μL〜150μLの第1の増殖培地を含む、第1のアンプルと、を含む、ことと、
前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータに前記滅菌サイクルを施すことと、
前記第1のアンプルを破壊することと、
前記第1の増殖培地の蛍光における変化について前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータを分析することと、を含む方法。
(19) 前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータが、第2の頂部を有し、約150μL超の第2の増殖培地を含む、第2のアンプルを更に含み、前記第2のアンプルが、前記第1のアンプルに隣接して配置され、前記第1の頂部が、前記第2の頂部よりも前記キャップに近接して配置されている、実施態様18に記載の方法。
(20) 前記第2のアンプルを破壊することと、
前記第2の増殖培地の色における変化について前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータを分析することと、を更に含む、実施態様19に記載の方法。
Claims (21)
- 内蔵型生物学的インジケータであって、
第1の頂部及び第1の底部を有し、第1体積の第1の増殖培地を含む第1のアンプルと、
第2の頂部及び第2の底部を有し、第2体積の第2の増殖培地を含む第2のアンプルと、
キャップと、を含み、
前記キャップが、前記第1のアンプル及び前記第2のアンプルの上方に配置され、前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルに隣接して配置され、前記第1の頂部が、前記第2の頂部よりも前記キャップに近接して配置されている、内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。 - インサートを更に含み、前記インサートの少なくとも一部が、前記第1のアンプル及び前記第2のアンプルの下方に配置され、前記第1の底部及び前記第2の底部が、前記インサートに接触する、請求項1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルよりも長い、請求項1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルよりも約1.3センチメートル〜3.8センチメートル(約0.5インチ〜1.5インチ)長い、請求項3に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1のアンプルが、前記第2のアンプルよりも約2.5センチメートル(約1インチ)長い、請求項4に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記インサートが、第1の面と、前記第1の面に対して平行又は実質的に平行であり、かつ前記第1の面より前記キャップから遠い第2の面と、を含み、前記第1の底部が、前記第1の面に接触し、前記第2の底部が、前記第2の面に接触する、請求項2に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1の面が、前記第2の面の約0.25センチメートル〜3.8センチメートル(約0.1インチ〜1.5インチ)上方に配置されている、請求項6に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1の面が、前記第2の面の約2センチメートル(約0.8インチ)上方に配置されている、請求項7に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1の頂部が、前記キャップに接触する、請求項1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1の増殖培地が、前記第2の増殖培地と同じである、請求項1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1の増殖培地及び前記第2の増殖培地が、4−メチルウンベリフェリルα−D−グルコシド(MUG)を含む、請求項10に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1体積が、前記第2体積を下回る、請求項1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1体積が、約50μL〜150μLであり、前記第2体積が、約150μL超である、請求項12に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記第1体積が、約100μLであり、前記第2体積が、約300μLである、請求項13に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記キャップに連結されたバイアルを更に含み、前記バイアル及びキャップが、舌部と、溝部と、を含む、請求項1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記キャップに連結されたバイアルと、前記バイアルの一部を取り巻き、前記キャップのリムの約0.25センチメートル〜3.8センチメートル(約0.1インチ〜1.5インチ)下方に配置される停止面と、を更に含む、請求項1に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 前記停止面が、前記キャップの前記リムから約2センチメートル(約0.8インチ)に配置されている、請求項16に記載の内蔵型生物学的インジケータ。
- 滅菌サイクルが有効であるかどうかを判定する方法であって、
内蔵型生物学的インジケータを提供することであって、前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータが、
バイアルと、
第1の位置においてバイアルの上に配置されたキャップと、
前記キャップのすぐ下に配置され、かつ少なくとも部分的に前記バイアル内部に配置された第1のアンプルであって、第1の頂部を有し、約50μL〜150μLの第1の増殖培地を含む、第1のアンプルと、を含む、ことと、
前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータに前記滅菌サイクルを施すことと、
前記第1のアンプルを破壊することと、
前記第1の増殖培地の蛍光における変化について前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータを分析することと、を含む方法。 - 前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータが、第2の頂部を有し、約150μL超の第2の増殖培地を含む、第2のアンプルを更に含み、前記第2のアンプルが、前記第1のアンプルに隣接して配置され、前記第1の頂部が、前記第2の頂部よりも前記キャップに近接して配置されている、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 前記第2のアンプルを破壊することと、
前記第2の増殖培地の色における変化について前記内蔵型生物学的インジケータを分析することと、を更に含む、請求項19に記載の方法。 - 前記第1のアンプルを破壊する前記工程が、前記第1の位置から第2の位置に向かって前記キャップを押し下げることを含み、前記第2のアンプルを破壊する前記工程が、前記第2の位置から第3の位置に向かって前記キャップを押し下げることを含む、請求項20に記載の方法。
