Claims (6)
- 電解質膜・電極構造体と前記電解質膜・電極構造体の外周に設けられた樹脂フィルムとを有する樹脂フィルム付きMEAと、前記樹脂フィルム付きMEAの両側にそれぞれ配設された金属セパレータとを備え、前記樹脂フィルム付きMEAと前記金属セパレータとが積層された発電セルであって、
前記金属セパレータには、前記電解質膜・電極構造体の電極面に沿って反応ガスを流す反応ガス流路と、前記反応ガス流路と連通するとともにセパレータ厚さ方向に貫通した反応ガス連通孔と、前記反応ガス連通孔の外周を周回するとともに前記セパレータ厚さ方向に突出したシール用の連通孔ビード部と、が形成されており、
一方の前記金属セパレータは、前記反応ガス連通孔と連通する前記連通孔ビード部の内部空間に繋がる孔部と、前記孔部の近傍で且つ前記連通孔ビード部と前記反応ガス流路との間に互いに隣接配置された2つの第1エンボスからなるエンボス対とを有し、
前記2つの第1エンボス間には、前記孔部に対向する隙間が形成されており、
他方の前記金属セパレータは、前記樹脂フィルムを介して前記エンボス対に対向する1つの第2エンボスを有し、
前記第2エンボスは、セパレータ厚さ方向から見て前記2つの第1エンボスに跨っている、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1記載の発電セルにおいて、
前記第2エンボスの頂部の面積は、前記2つの第1エンボスの頂部の合計面積よりも大きい、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1又は2記載の発電セルにおいて、
前記反応ガス連通孔と前記孔部との間には、前記反応ガス連通孔と前記反応ガス流路とを連通させる連結流路が設けられ、
前記連結流路は、一方の前記金属セパレータと他方の前記金属セパレータとの間に形成される、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の発電セルにおいて、
一方の前記金属セパレータの前記孔部と連通する前記連通孔ビード部に前記樹脂フィルムを介して対向する他方の前記金属セパレータの前記連通孔ビード部には、他方の前記金属セパレータに設けられた前記反応ガス流路と前記反応ガス連通孔とを連通させる孔部が設けられていない、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の発電セルにおいて、
前記2つの第1エンボスを有する一方の前記金属セパレータは、前記エンボス対が設けられた側と同じ側の面に、電極面に沿って燃料ガスを流す燃料ガス流路を有するセパレータであり、
前記第2エンボスを有する他方の前記金属セパレータは、前記第2エンボスが設けられた側と同じ側の面に、電極面に沿って酸化剤ガスを流す酸化剤ガス流路を有するセパレータである、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。 - 請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の発電セルにおいて、
前記第2エンボスの平面形状は、長円状又は楕円状である、
ことを特徴とする発電セル。
