Abstract
【解決手段】同軸ケーブルの一端に接続される同軸ケーブルコネクタであって、信号端子と、ハウジングと、シェルを備える。信号端子は、相手コネクタの相手信号端子と接触させる端子接触部と、同軸ケーブルの中心導体を接続させる導体接続部と、端子接触部と導体接続部との間に配置された幅広部を有する。幅広部は、導体接続部と幅広部との間を繋ぐ第一連結部、及び、端子接触部と幅広部との間を繋ぐ第二連結部のうち、少なくとも、前記幅広部と前記同軸ケーブルの軸線方向において隣接する部分よりも、同軸ケーブルの軸線方向と直交する幅方向において幅広に形成されている。端子接触部が設置される設置部と同軸ケーブルの中心導体を導体接続部に対して固定する固定部との間に幅広部に対する外部からのアクセスを可能とする窓を有する。

Description
本願発明は、このような従来技術における問題点を解決するためになされたものであり、端子接触部に検査プローブを接触させることなく、容易に且つ確実に検査プローブによる導通検査を行うことができる同軸ケーブルコネクタを提供すること、更に、この同軸ケーブルコネクタを利用して同軸コネクタ装置を提供することを目的とする。
この態様の同時ケーブルコネクタによれば、幅広部を設けたことにより、検査用プローブを信号端子により確実に押し当てることができる。また、信号端子の強度を強化することできる。更に、信号端子をより確実にハウジングに固定することができる。更にまた、窓と幅広部との相乗効果により、インピーダンスの変動を抑制することができる。また、ハウジング80を、シェル60の、相手コネクタとの嵌合側の一方の面66aに配置したことにより、同軸ケーブルコネクタの低背化を図ることができる。
このような方向に整列させることにより、検査プローブの挿入が容易となる。
この構成によれば、信号端子に軸線方向に沿って力が働いた場合であっても、幅広部によって耐力を発揮させることができる。
幅広に形成することにより、同軸ケーブルの中心導体と接続させることができる面積を大きくして中心導体をより確実に端子接触部と接続させることができ、また、信号端子の強度を強化することできる。
この構成によれば、ハウジングの一部を嵌合に利用することができる。
略環状の嵌合部は、相手コネクタの相手シェルに嵌合させることができれば足りることから切欠部を設けることができ、そのような切欠部に窓を設けることによって、同軸ケーブルコネクタを軸線方向において大型化することなく、また、信号端子の端子接触部と導体接続部の双方から適度に離れた位置に幅広部を位置付けることができる。
設置部(81、82)には、信号端子70の端子接触部71が設置される。設置部は、平面視矩形の平台81と、平台81の、相手コネクタ2との嵌合側の面に形成された略円筒部82とから成る。略円筒部82は段状に形成されており、相手コネクタ2との嵌合側に配置された小径の円筒部82aと、相手コネクタ2との嵌合側とは反対側に配置された大径の円筒部82bを含む。小径の円筒部82aは、同軸ケーブルコネクタ6と相手コネクタ2が接続されたときに、相手コネクタ2の相手ハウジング40に設けた凹部44に内嵌される部分となる。円筒部82a、82bには、端子接触部71を露出させるための端子穴82cが、相手コネクタ2との嵌合方向「γ」に沿って設けられている。

Claims (8)
- 同軸ケーブルの一端に接続される同軸ケーブルコネクタにおいて、
信号端子と、
前記信号端子と一体成形されたハウジングと、
前記ハウジングに取り付けられたシェルと、
を備え、
前記信号端子は、
相手コネクタの相手信号端子と接触する端子接触部と、
前記同軸ケーブルの中心導体が接続される導体接続部と、
前記端子接触部と前記導体接続部との間に配置された幅広部と、を有し、
前記幅広部は、前記導体接続部と前記幅広部との間を繋ぐ第一連結部、及び、前記端子接触部と前記幅広部との間を繋ぐ第二連結部のうち、少なくとも、前記幅広部と前記同軸ケーブルの軸線方向において隣接する部分よりも、前記同軸ケーブルの軸線方向と直交する幅方向において幅広に形成されており、
前記ハウジングは、前記シェルの、前記相手コネクタとの嵌合側の一方の面に配置されており、前記端子接触部が設置される設置部と、前記同軸ケーブルの中心導体を前記導体接続部に対して固定する固定部との間に、前記幅広部に対する外部からのアクセスを可能とする窓を有することを特徴とする同軸ケーブルコネクタ。 - 前記幅広部と前記窓は、前記相手コネクタとの嵌合方向において整列されている、請求項1に記載の同軸ケーブルコネクタ。
- 前記信号端子は、前記軸線方向に沿って延びている、請求項1又は2に記載の同軸ケーブルコネクタ。
- 前記導体接続部は、前記第二連結部よりも前記幅方向において幅広に形成されている、請求項1乃至3のいずれかに記載の同軸ケーブルコネクタ。
- 前記設置部の一部は略円筒部として形成されており、該略円筒部の少なくとも一部は、前記相手コネクタと嵌合された際に、該相手コネクタの相手ハウジングに設けた凹部に内嵌される、請求項1乃至4のいずれかに記載の同軸ケーブルコネクタ。
- 前記窓は、前記略円筒部と、前記固定部との間に設けた、前記ハウジングの中間部に設けられている、請求項5に記載の同軸ケーブルコネクタ。
- 前記シェルは、前記略円筒部の外周に遊嵌される略環状の嵌合部を有し、前記窓は、前記略環状の嵌合部に設けた切欠に位置付けられている、請求項5又は6に記載の同軸ケーブルコネクタ。
- 請求項1乃至7のいずれかに記載の前記同軸ケーブルコネクタと前記相手コネクタから構成される同軸コネクタ装置。
