Hostalen GD 9550FはLyondellBasell社から入手可能なHDPE;Enable20-10 CB-メタロセンはExxon Mobil社から入手可能なメタロセンエチレン-ヘキサンコポリマー(LDPE);PP-Moplen 2152はLyondellBasell社から入手可能なポリプロピレンである。

フレキソグラフィック印刷機:Dolci-Bielloni社のTelia FSC(条件:主巻出し機-コロナ処理2〜2.5kW、フィルム張力15N;センタードラムのCYMBWカラー各色のカバー率100%;オーブン温度-エリアIは60〜75℃、エリアIIは70〜80℃、エリアIIIは75〜90℃;ライン速度130〜150m/分)。
1.第一の可撓性基材上への印刷
上述した第一の可撓性基材の試料に、上述したフレキソグラフィック印刷技術またはロトグラビア印刷技術を使用して、NCインク、PVBインク、PVCインク、およびPUインクから選択したインク組成物を印刷した。
2.1.ポリマー製の第二の可撓性基材、シーラント層、および熱活性化可能なラミネート材料の共押し出し
第二の可撓性基材、シーラント層、および熱活性化可能なラミネート材料の共押し出しされた三層またはより多くのフィルムを、DrCollin社の型式CMG 5.2-4の三つの押出機(A、BおよびC)を使用して製造した。製造されたこの三層フィルムは、シーラント層(押出機C)と熱活性化可能なラミネート材料(押出機A)の間に配置された第二の可撓性基材(押出機B)を含んでいた。共押し出しされたそれぞれの三層フィルムの各々の層の組成を以下の表2に示す。この方法によって得られた共押し出しフィルムを使用して得られたフレキシブル包装材料は、以下の表5において、第二の可撓性基材上へのTALMの配置が、第二の可撓性基材との共押し出しによって行われる手順を用いて製造されたものとして参照される。
ラミネート装置(Nordmeccanica社のLaboCombi 400-オーブン温度70℃、85℃、105℃-アニロックス60-コロナ処理は最初の巻出し機1kW、巻取機1.5kW)を使用し、5〜150m/分の速度において、印刷された第一の可撓性基材(上記したもの)および第二の可撓性基材(上記したもの)に、TALM(上記したHME-118B)またはMica社のHME-160をコーティングして、2〜12μmの厚みを有するTALMの層を設けた。
上記したような押出コーティング装置を使用して、第二の可撓性基材上にTALMを押し出しコーティングした。
このプロセスでは、第一の可撓性基材と第二の可撓性基材は、ラミネート装置(Nordmeccanica社のLaboCombi 400)を使用して、TALM層を第一の可撓性基材と第二の可撓性基材の間に配置して一緒にラミネートされる。印刷された第一の可撓性基材が巻出し機Aに配置され、第二の可撓性基材が巻出し機Bに配置され、第一の可撓性基材または第二の可撓性基材の一方は上述したようにTALMの層でコーティングされている。ラミネート装置は、ニップ温度が95〜180℃、ニップ圧力が2.5〜5バール、そして速度が5〜150m/分となる加熱ラミネーション設定で作動されて、以下の表5において示すようなフレキシブル包装材料が製造された。

- フレキシブル包装材料の調製プロセスであって:
インク組成物が印刷された第一の表面を有する第一の可撓性基材を設け、印刷されたインク組成物はポリ塩化ビニル、ポリビニルブチラール、ニトロセルロース、ポリウレタン、ポリアミド、またはUV硬化性樹脂を含有するインク樹脂を含み;
第二の可撓性基材を設け;
第二の可撓性基材の第一の表面および第一の可撓性基材のインク組成物が印刷された第一の表面の一方の上に、熱活性化可能なラミネート材料の層を配置し、熱活性化可能なラミネート材料はアルキレンモノマーとアクリル酸またはメタクリル酸モノマーのコポリマー、アルキレンモノマーとアルキルアクリレートまたはアルキルメタクリレートのコポリマー、ポリウレタン、アイオノマー、アルキレンモノマーのコポリマー、無水マレイン酸変性ポリアルキレン、および酸変性ポリオレフィンから選択される熱活性化可能なポリマーを含有し;そして
加熱および/または加圧条件下に熱活性化可能なラミネート材料の層を、第二の可撓性基材および第一の可撓性基材のインク組成物が印刷された第一の表面の他方と接触させることを含む、プロセス。 - 第一の可撓性基材または第二の可撓性基材が、金属箔、メタライズされた基材、または紙製基材を含む、請求項1のプロセス。

- フレキシブル材料を含むフレキシブルパッケージであって、フレキシブル材料が:
第一の表面を有する第一の可撓性基材;
第一の可撓性基材の第一の表面上に印刷されたインク組成物であって、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポリビニルブチラール、ニトロセルロース、ポリウレタン、ポリアミドまたはUV硬化ポリマーを含有するインク樹脂を含む、印刷されたインク組成物;
第二の可撓性基材;および
第二の可撓性基材と第一の可撓性基材のインク組成物が印刷された第一の表面の間に配置され結合された、熱活性化されたラミネート材料の層を含み、熱活性化されたラミネート材料がアルキレンモノマーとアクリル酸またはメタクリル酸モノマーのコポリマー、アルキレンモノマーとアルキルアクリレートまたはアルキルメタクリレートのコポリマー、ポリウレタン、アイオノマー、アルキレンモノマーのコポリマー、無水マレイン酸変性ポリアルキレン、および酸変性ポリオレフィンから選択された熱活性化されたポリマーを含む、フレキシブルパッケージ。
