Description
本発明は、ガス流における二酸化炭素の濃度を低減し、水性流における塩化ナトリウムの濃度を低減するための方法に関する。該方法によって得られる水性生成物流及び該方法における水酸化カルシウム及び/又は酸化カルシウムの使用がまた記載される。
二酸化炭素は、社会が直面している最も深刻な環境問題の1つである、地球温暖化の一大原因である。二酸化炭素は、地球温暖化の約55%を引き起こす、観測された温室効果に関して最大の有害効果をもたらすと考えられる。世界の多くの地域で、主なエネルギー源としての化石燃料に依存していることが、前例のないレベルにまでの二酸化炭素排出の上昇の原因である。多くの産業、例えば天然ガス・スウィートニング(sweetening)、アンモニア及びエチレン酸化物のための水素生産、石油精製、鉄鋼生産、脱塩、エネルギー生産、並びにセメント及び石灰岩の製造は、主な二酸化炭素排出源の代表である。
該方法が、0.1体積%より多いか又はそれと同等の二酸化炭素を含むフィードガスと、以下:
(a) 塩化ナトリウム;並びに
(b) 0.5重量%より多いか又はそれと同等の総濃度の酸化カルシウム及び/又は水酸化
カルシウム
を含む、水性フィードとを接触させることを含み、
水性フィードのpHが10.0より高いか又はそれと同等である、
方法を提供する。
該方法が、
(i) 0.1体積%より多いか又はそれと同等の二酸化炭素を含むフィードガスと、以下:
(a) 塩化ナトリウム;並びに
(b) 0.5重量%より多いか又はそれと同等の総濃度の酸化カルシウム及び/又は水酸
化カルシウム、
を含む水性フィードとを接触させること;並びに
(ii) 水性フィードよりも低い塩化ナトリウム濃度を有する前記水性生成物流を回収すること;
を含み、
水性フィードのpHが10.0より高いか又はそれと同等である、
水性生成物流を提供する。
図1は、本発明の一実施形態における改変ソルベー法について記載する模式図を示す。これは、CaO及び/又はCa(OH)2(2)と、塩水フィードストック(3)を混合し、水性フィード(4)を生成する容器(1);水性フィード(4)とCO2含有ガス(6)とを接触させ、低減したCO2濃度のガス(7)及び、処理済みの水性フィード(8)を生成する接触リアクター(5);及び沈殿した重炭酸ナトリウム(10)を濾去するフィルター(9)を有し、塩濃度が低減された生成物流(11)を出す(leave)。
該方法が、
(i) 0.1体積%より多いか又はそれと同等である二酸化炭素を含むフィードガスと、以下:
(a) 塩化ナトリウム;並びに
(b) 0.5重量%より多いか又はそれと同等である総濃度で酸化カルシウム及び
/又は水酸化カルシウム、
を含む、水性フィードとを接触させること;並びに
(ii) 水性フィードより低い塩化ナトリウム濃度を有する前記水性生成物流を回収すること;
を含み、
水性フィードのpHが10.0より高いか又はそれと同等である、水性生成物流を提供する。
本発明に従って、バブルカラムリアクター中において脱塩廃棄物の塩水を用いて、既知のソルベー法及び改変ソルベー法の両方を実験的に評価した。実験は、ステンレス鋼で被覆された内径78mm、全高700mmのバブルカラムリアクター中で行った。リアクターを半バッチモードで操作し、大気圧20℃で、塩水を、空気と二酸化炭素の混合物の連続流に曝した。リアクター上部からの排気ガスを、水分トラップ(moisture trap)を通過させ、次いでCO2ガスアナライザー (非分散型赤外線(NDIR)アナライザーのModel 600シリーズ)を通過させた。
Claims (23)
- ガス流中の二酸化炭素濃度を低減し、水性流中の塩化ナトリウム濃度を低減するための方法であって、
該方法が、0.1体積%より多いか又はそれと同等の二酸化炭素を含むフィードガスと、以下:
(a) 塩化ナトリウム;並びに
(b) 0.5重量%より多いか又はそれと同等の総濃度の酸化カルシウム及び/又は水酸化
カルシウム
を含む、水性フィードとを接触させることを含み、
水性フィードのpHが10.0より高いか又はそれと同等である、
方法。 - 水性フィードのpHが11.0より高いか又はそれと同等である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 方法が、少なくとも酸化カルシウム及び/又は水酸化カルシウムの一部を塩水フィードストックに添加し、水性フィードを生成する、最初の工程を更に含む、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 水性フィードが、1.0重量%〜2.0重量%の総濃度で酸化カルシウム及び/又は水酸化カルシウムを含む、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 水性フィードが、1.0重量%〜2.0重量%の総濃度で水酸化カルシウムを含む、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 水性フィード中の(水酸化カルシウム):(塩化ナトリウム)のモル比が、0.2:1.0〜0.4:1.0である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 水性フィード中の塩化ナトリウム濃度が20.0 g/lより高いか又はそれと同等であり、任意で60.0 g/lより高いか又はそれと同等である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- フィードガスが5.0体積%より多いか又はそれと同等である二酸化炭素を含む、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- フィードガスが、排気ガス、煙道ガス、フレアガス又は天然ガスを含む、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- フィードガスと水性フィードとを接触させることが、(i)水性フィードにフィードガスを通過させること、又は(ii)フィードガスの存在下で水性フィードを撹拌することを含む、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- バブルカラムリアクター中でフィードガスと水性フィードとを接触させる、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- フィードガスと水性フィードとを接触させた結果として、固形重炭酸ナトリウムが生成される、請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 方法が、任意で濾過又は沈降により、前記固形重炭酸ナトリウムを回収することを更に含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 方法が、回収された二酸化炭素を生成するよう、前記の回収された固形重炭酸ナトリウムを加熱することを更に含む、請求項13に記載の方法。
- 方法が石油増進回収法において、前記回収された二酸化炭素を用いることを更に含む、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 方法が、水性フィードより低い塩化ナトリウム濃度を有する水性生成物流を回収することを更に含む、請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 方法が、灌漑又は低塩濃度水の湛水のために、前記水性生成物流を用いることを更に含む、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 方法が、フィードガスより低い二酸化炭素濃度を有する生成物ガス流を回収することを更に含む、請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 方法が、電気化学的方法でない、請求項1〜18のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 水性フィードが、0.1重量%より少ないアンモニアを含む、請求項1〜19のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ガス流中の二酸化炭素濃度を低減し、水性流中の塩化ナトリウム濃度を低減するための方法から得られた水性生成物流であって、
該方法が、
(i) 0.1体積%より多いか又はそれと同等の二酸化炭素を含むフィードガスと、以下:
(a) 塩化ナトリウム;並びに
(b) 0.5重量%より多いか又はそれと同等の総濃度の酸化カルシウム及び/又は水酸
化カルシウム、
を含む水性フィードとを接触させること;並びに
(ii) 水性フィードよりも低い塩化ナトリウム濃度を有する前記水性生成物流を回収すること;
を含み、
水性フィードのpHが10.0より高いか又はそれと同等である、
水性生成物流。 - ガス流中の二酸化炭素濃度を低減し、水性流中の塩化ナトリウム濃度を低減するための方法が、請求項2〜20のいずれか一項に記載のものである、請求項21に記載の水性生成物流。
- 請求項1〜20のいずれか一項に記載の方法における、ガス流中の二酸化炭素濃度を低減し、水性流中の塩化ナトリウム濃度を低減するための、酸化カルシウム及び/又は水酸化カルシウムの使用。
