Claims (11)
- 患者から採取された試料が細菌の種、株、又は型を含むか否かを検出する方法であって、
検出装置によって検出可能な標識を含む標識化バクテリオファージと、前記試料とを混合する工程であって、前記標識化バクテリオファージが前記細菌の種、株、又は型と選択的に結合する活性を示す工程と、
前記検出装置を使用して前記細菌の種、株、又は型と結合した前記標識化バクテリオファージの存在を検出する工程と、を備える、方法。 - 前記試料と前記標識化バクテリオファージとを混合した後に、未結合の標識化バクテリオファージを除去する工程をさらに備える、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記検出装置は、光音響セルを有する、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記検出装置は、流量測定装置を有する、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記細菌の種、株、又は型を検出のときに定量する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記光音響セルで使用されるエネルギーレベルは、未結合の標識化バクテリオファージの検出を抑えるに足りる低さである、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 複数の標識化バクテリオファージと前記試料とを混合して、前記複数のバクテリオファージのそれぞれを、細菌の異なる種、株、又は型に選択的に結合させ、前記複数のバクテリオファージのそれぞれが、前記検出装置によって独立して検出可能な異なる標識を含み、前記検出装置を使用して、前記細菌の異なる種、株、又は型の少なくとも1つに結合した前記標識化バクテリオファージの存在を検出する、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 患者から採取された試料中の細菌の少なくとも1種の種、株、又は型を特定する装置であって、
前記細菌の種、株、又は型に選択的に結合する少なくとも1種の標識化バクテリオファージを含み、
前記少なくとも1種の標識化バクテリオファージは、付着済みの標識を含み、
前記装置は、前記細菌の種に結合した前記標識化バクテリオファージを検出すべく適応された検出装置をさらに含む、装置。 - 前記検出装置は、光音響セルを含む、請求項8に記載の装置。
- 前記検出装置は、流量測定装置を含む、請求項8又は9に記載の装置。
- 前記細菌の種、株、又は型が定量される、請求項8〜10のいずれか1項に記載の装置。
