Abstract
Description
例1では、人工心臓弁弁尖は、第1の層を含む自己強化複合材(SRC:self−reinforced composite)構造を有する。第1の層は、第1の高分子材料から構成された第1の複数の融着繊維を含むことができる。第1の層の各繊維は、リフロー繊維ドメイン領域によって少なくとも1つの隣接する繊維に融着され得る。

Claims (35)
- 第1の高分子材料を含む第1の複数の融着繊維を備える第1の層を含む自己強化複合材(SRC)構造を備える人工心臓弁弁尖であって、各繊維がリフロー繊維ドメイン領域によって少なくとも1つの隣接する繊維に融着されている人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 第2の高分子材料から構成された第2の複数の融着繊維を含む第2の層をさらに備え、各繊維がリフロー繊維ドメイン領域によって少なくとも1つの隣接する繊維に融着されている、請求項1に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の複数の融着繊維および前記第2の複数の融着繊維が、前記第1の複数の融着繊維が前記第2の複数の融着繊維に対して第1の所定繊維角度で配向されるように、少なくとも2つの方向においてほぼ整列されている、請求項2に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の複数の融着繊維が、第1の長手方向軸を画定する方向においてほぼ整列され、前記第1の長手方向軸が前記人工心臓弁弁尖の自由縁に対して角度をなして配向されている、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の層が前記第2の層に隣接して配置されている、請求項2〜4のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の複数の融着繊維および前記第2の複数の融着繊維が、前記SRC構造内に二軸配向を形成するように互いに対してほぼ整列されている、請求項2〜4のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記所定繊維角度が直交角度である、請求項3〜5のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記所定繊維角度が10度、20度、30度、40度、45度、50度、60度、70度または80度のうちの1つである、請求項3〜5のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記SRC構造が、3複合材層SRC構造、4複合材層SRC構造または5複合材層SRC構造を形成するための追加の層を備える、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記SRC構造の3複合材層、4複合材層または5複合材層がそれぞれ三軸配向、四軸配向または五軸配向を形成する、請求項9に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の複数の融着繊維の各繊維が、前記第1の長手方向軸とほぼ平行である整列された高分子結晶配向を備える、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の高分子材料がポリウレタン、ポリイソブチレンウレタン(PIB−PUR)コポリマー、ポリアミド、ポリイミド、ポリカーボネート、ポリエステル、ポリエーテルエーテルケトンまたはフッ化ポリオレフィンである、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の高分子材料および前記第2の高分子材料が異なる材料である、請求項2〜10のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の高分子材料が第1のポリウレタンであり、第2の高分子材料が第2のポリウレタンであり、前記第1のポリウレタンが前記第2のポリウレタンより高い融点を有する、請求項13に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖を形成する方法であって、
前記第1の高分子材料から作製された複数の繊維を所定時間にわたり所定温度まで圧縮および加熱して、前記複数の繊維の一部が互いに融着される前記自己強化複合材構造を形成するステップ
を含む方法。 - 第1の高分子材料から構成された第1の複数の融着繊維を備える第1の層を含む自己強化複合材(SRC)構造を備える人工心臓弁弁尖であって、各繊維がリフロー繊維ドメイン領域によって少なくとも1つの隣接する繊維に融着されている、人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 第2の高分子材料から構成された第2の複数の融着繊維を含む第2の層をさらに備え、各繊維がリフロー繊維ドメイン領域によって少なくとも1つの隣接する繊維に融着されている、請求項16に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。

- 前記所定繊維角度が約10度〜20度、約20度〜30度、約30度〜約40度、約40度〜約45度、約45度〜約50度、約50度〜約60度、約60度〜約70度、約70度〜約80度の範囲であり得る、請求項18に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記SRC構造が、3複合材層SRC構造、4複合材層SRC構造または5複合材層SRC構造を形成するための追加の層を備える、請求項16に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記SRC構造の3複合材層、4複合材層または5複合材層がそれぞれ三軸配向、四軸配向または五軸配向を形成する、請求項24に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の複数の融着繊維の各繊維が、前記第1の長手方向軸とほぼ平行である整列された高分子結晶配向を備える、請求項16に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の高分子材料がポリウレタン、ポリイソブチレンウレタン(PIB−PUR)コポリマー、ポリアミド、ポリイミド、ポリカーボネート、ポリエステル、ポリエーテルエーテルケトンまたはフッ化ポリオレフィンである、請求項16に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。

- 前記第1の層の少なくとも一部が前記第2の層の少なくとも一部に融着されている、請求項17に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 前記第1の複数の繊維の各繊維がほぼ正方形、楕円形または六角形の断面形状を有する、請求項16に記載の人工心臓弁弁尖。
- 人工心臓弁弁尖を形成する方法であって、高分子材料から作製された複数の繊維を備える繊維状構造を所定時間にわたり所定温度まで圧縮および加熱して、前記複数の繊維の一部が互いに融着される自己強化複合材(SRC)構造を形成するステップを含む方法。
- 前記繊維状構造が、複数の繊維であって、それぞれが前記圧縮および加熱前に約10nm〜約50,000nm(または50マイクロメートル)の範囲の元の繊維径を有する複数の繊維を備える、請求項33に記載の方法。
- 前記所定温度がガラス転移点(Tg)〜融点(Tm)の範囲であり、0〜50の圧縮ひずみが前記圧縮および前記加熱中に前記繊維状構造の前記複数の繊維に適用される、請求項33に記載の方法。
