Abstract
Description

加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を、少なくとも1つのプレナムの少なくとも1つの側壁に形成されているテーパー断面形状を有する通路から、炉の内部に向けることと、

Claims (15)
- 繊維を加熱する炉であって、該炉は、該炉内で該炉の第1の端部と第2の端部との間に配置され、間に隙間を有して互いに積み重ねられた複数のプレナムを備える供給構造部を備え、前記プレナムは、加熱システムと流体連通し、
少なくとも1つのプレナムは、複数の通路が形成されている少なくとも1つの側壁を有し、前記少なくとも1つのプレナムは、加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記複数の通路から該炉の内部に向けるように構成されており、
前記少なくとも1つのプレナムに形成されている前記複数の通路のそれぞれは、それぞれのテーパー断面形状を有する、炉。 - 前記少なくとも1つのプレナムの前記少なくとも1つの側壁に形成されている前記通路のそれぞれは、それぞれの入口開口部と、それぞれの出口開口部とを有する、請求項1に記載の炉。
- 前記通路のうちの少なくとも1つに関して、前記それぞれの入口開口部は、前記それぞれの出口開口部よりも大きい、請求項2に記載の炉。
- 前記少なくとも1つのプレナムの前記少なくとも1つの側壁に形成されている前記通路のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記それぞれの入口開口部から延在するテーパー部を有する、請求項2に記載の炉。
- 前記テーパー部を有する前記通路のうちの前記少なくとも1つは、前記それぞれの入口開口部に沿って湾曲縁部又はベベル縁部を更に有する、請求項4に記載の炉。
- 前記少なくとも1つのプレナムの前記少なくとも1つの側壁に形成されている前記通路のうちの少なくとも1つは、前記それぞれの入口開口部から延在するテーパー部と、該テーパー部の端部から前記それぞれの出口開口部まで延在する直線部とを有する、請求項2に記載の炉。
- ハニカム材料は、前記少なくとも1つのプレナムの外面に配置されない、請求項1に記載の炉。
- 前記少なくとも1つの側壁の厚さは、少なくとも0.25インチである、請求項1に記載の炉。
- 炉を用いて繊維を加熱する方法であって、
加熱ガスを、前記炉の内部に配置され、間に隙間を有して互いに積み重ねられた複数のプレナムを備える供給構造部に供給することと、
前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を、少なくとも1つのプレナムの少なくとも1つの側壁に形成されているテーパー断面形状を有する通路から、前記炉の前記内部に向けることと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路から前記炉の前記内部に向けることは、
前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路の入口開口部内に向けることと、
前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路の出口開口部から前記炉の前記内部に向けることと、
を含む、請求項9に記載の方法。 - 前記通路のうちの少なくとも1つに関して、それぞれの前記入口開口部は、それぞれの前記出口開口部よりも大きい、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記通路のうちの少なくとも1つは、それぞれの前記入口開口部から延在するテーパー部を有する、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路の入口開口部内に向けることは、前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を、前記通路の入口開口部に沿って形成されている湾曲縁部又はベベル縁部に沿って向けることを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路の入口開口部内に向けることは、前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路のテーパー部内に向けることを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路の出口開口部から前記炉の前記内部に向けることは、前記加熱ガスを前記炉の前記内部に吐出する前に、前記加熱ガスの少なくとも一部を前記通路の直線部内に向けることを含む、請求項10に記載の方法。
