前記表示装置の前記屈曲方向において前記基層の外側に配置されるように、前記基層上に配され、前記第1保護層とは異なる物性を有する第2保護層とを備える表示装置。 - 前記第1保護層の厚さは、前記第2保護層の厚さより厚い請求項19に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第1保護層の厚さに対する前記第2保護層の厚さの比率は、0.4以下である請求項19に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ウィンドウカバーは、前記第1保護層が5mm以下の曲率半径を有するように屈曲される請求項19に記載の表示装置。
- 前記基層、前記第1保護層、及び前記第2保護層のうちの少なくとも1つは、9Hの鉛筆硬度を有する請求項19に記載の表示装置。
- 前記基層の厚さは、前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層のうちの少なくとも1つの厚さより厚い請求項19に記載の表示装置。
- 前記ウィンドウカバーは、前記表示装置内に湿気又は気体が侵入することを防ぐために、前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層のうちの少なくとも一方に面するように前記基層上に配された遮断層をさらに備える請求項19に記載の表示装置。
- 前記遮断層の材料は、シリカ及びアルミナのうちの少なくとも1つからなる請求項25に記載の表示装置。
- 前記第2保護層は、前記第1保護層より引張強度の高い材料で形成される請求項19に記載の表示装置。
- 基層を有するウィンドウカバーを含む表示装置を製造する方法であって、
基層を介在させつつ、互いに面するように第1保護層及び第2保護層を配するステップと、
前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層が異なる厚さを有するように、前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層のうちの少なくとも1つを加工するステップとを備える方法。 - 前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層は、各々、同一の厚さで基層の両面に配される請求項28に記載の方法。
- 前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層のうちの少なくとも1つは、化学機械研磨(CMP)プロセスによって加工される請求項28に記載の方法。
- 前記基層を介在させつつ、互いに面するように前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層を配するステップに先立ち、前記第1保護層及び前記第2保護層のうちの少なくとも1つに面するように、前記基層上に遮断層を配するステップをさらに備える請求項28に記載の方法。
- 前記遮断層は、前記基層上に蒸着される請求項31に記載の方法。
- 画像を表示する表示パネルを有する表示装置に使用されてもよいウィンドウカバーであって、
前記表示パネルとともに一体的に屈曲されるように配され、屈曲方向においてその内側に配置された第1部分と、
前記屈曲方向においてその外側に配置され、前記第1部分とは異なる剛性を有する第2部分とを備えるウィンドウカバー。 - 前記第1部分の前記剛性は、前記第2部分の前記剛性を上回る請求項33に記載のウィンドウカバー。
- 前記第1部分の厚さは、前記第2部分の厚さより厚い請求項33に記載のウィンドウカバー。
- 前記ウィンドウカバーは、前記第1部分が前記第2部分より小さな曲率半径を有するように屈曲される請求項33に記載のウィンドウカバー。
