【解決手段】第1ベース層3及び第2ベース層4各々に分子量が500以上である同種の有機系紫外線吸収剤13を添加する。

Description
上記被塗物が、自動車の車体又は自動車用内外装品であり、
上記第1ベース層及び第2ベース層各々が、分子量が500以上である同種の有機系紫外線吸収剤を含有し、
上記有機系顔料が赤系顔料であることを特徴とする。
しかし、仮に第2ベース層のみに上記有機系紫外線吸収剤を添加し、当該紫外第1ベース層に当該紫外線吸収剤を添加していないならば、第2ベース層の紫外線吸収剤は、透明クリヤ層側に移動するだけでなく、第1ベース層側にも移動するから、透明クリヤ層側への移動量が少なくなる。むしろ、第2ベース層の紫外線吸収剤が、透明クリヤ層側ではなく、第1ベース層側に多く移動することになる。そのため、第2ベース層の赤系顔料よりも透明クリヤ層側にある紫外線吸収剤の量が期待するほどは多くならない。
上記被塗物が、硬化した電着塗膜を表面に有する自動車の車体又は自動車用内外装品であり、
上記第1ベース塗料が、光輝材、及び分子量が500以上である有機系紫外線吸収剤を含有し、
上記第2ベース塗料が、有機系赤系顔料、及び上記第1ベース塗料の上記紫外線吸収剤と同種の分子量が500以上である有機系紫外線吸収剤を含有することを特徴とする。
図1に示す本実施形態に係る塗装物は、自動車の車体(鋼板)1の表面にカチオン電着塗膜2が設けられてなる被塗物に、第1ベース層3,透光性を有する第2ベース層4及び透明クリヤ層5よりなる積層塗膜が設けられてなる。第1ベース層3は、光輝材11、赤系顔料12、分子量500以上の有機系高分子量型紫外線吸収剤13及び無機系のナノ粒子紫外線吸収剤14各々を樹脂中に分散した状態で含有する。第2ベース層4は、有機系の赤系顔料15、分子量500以上の有機系高分子量型紫外線吸収剤13及び無機系のナノ粒子紫外線吸収剤14各々を樹脂中に分散した状態で含有する。透明クリヤ層5は、有機系紫外線吸収剤16を樹脂中に分散した状態で含有する。
図2(a)に示すように、赤系顔料の粒径が大きいとき(例えば500nm程度)は、顔料に入射した可視光線が全波長にわたって幾何光学的に反射ないし散乱され、顔料を透過する赤の光透過率も低い。これに対して、顔料粒径が図2(b)、(c)に示すように小さくなると(図2(b)は例えば100nm)、図2(c)は例えば50nm)、幾何光学的な反射は少なくなるとともに、赤の光透過率が高くなっていく。その一方で、青の散乱光(レイリー散乱)を生ずるようになる。
−サンプル1−
リン酸亜鉛処理したダル鋼板(基板)に、カチオン電着塗料を乾燥膜厚が20μmとなるように電着塗装し、160℃で30分間焼き付けた。得られた被塗物の電着塗膜の上に、第1ベース塗料(アクリルエマルション系水性塗料)を回転霧化式静電塗装機によって塗装することにより、未硬化の第1ベース層を形成した。当該塗料には、光輝材としてのアルミフレークを12質量%、顔料としての平均粒径50nmのペリレンレッドを8質量%、有機系紫外線吸収剤としての高分子量型ベンゾトリアゾール系UVA(CAS No.103597-45-1(分子量659))を3質量%、無機系紫外線吸収剤としての酸化鉄ナノ粒子(平均粒径50nm)を2質量%となるように配合した。ここに、「質量%」は全塗料固形分質量に対する百分率である(以下同じ。)。
表1に示すように、第1ベース層及び第2ベース層をサンプル1とは異なる配合のベース塗料で形成したサンプル2−8を作製した。その作製はサンプル1と同様にして行なった。
サンプル1―8各々の塗装仕上げ直後の彩度(初期彩度)及び耐候試験後の彩度を測定した。

Claims (14)
- 被塗物の表面に重ねられた光輝材を含有する第1ベース層と、該第1ベース層の表面に重ねられた有機系顔料を含有する透光性を有する第2ベース層と、該第2ベース層の表面に重ねられた透明クリヤ層とを備えている積層塗膜であって、
上記被塗物が、自動車の車体又は自動車用内外装品であり、
上記第1ベース層及び第2ベース層各々が、分子量が500以上である同種の有機系紫外線吸収剤を含有し、
上記有機系顔料が赤系顔料であることを特徴とする積層塗膜。 - 請求項1において、
上記赤系顔料の平均粒径が100nm以下であることを特徴とする積層塗膜。 - 請求項2において、
上記赤系顔料がペリレンレッドであることを特徴とする積層塗膜。 - 請求項2又は請求項3において、
上記第2ベース層が、粒径が100nm以下である無機系紫外線吸収剤を含有することを特徴とする積層塗膜。 - 請求項4において、
上記無機系紫外線吸収剤が、酸化鉄のナノ粒子であることを特徴とする積層塗膜。 - 請求項1乃至請求項5のいずれか一において、
上記被塗物はその表面に電着塗膜を有し、該電着塗膜の表面に上記第1ベース層が重ねられていることを特徴とする積層塗膜。 - 請求項1乃至請求項6のいずれか一において、
上記第1ベース層が赤系顔料を含有することを特徴とする積層塗膜。 - 被塗物に請求項1乃至請求項7のいずれか一に記載の積層塗膜を備えることを特徴とする塗装物。
- 被塗物の表面に第1ベース塗料を塗装して未硬化の第1ベース層を形成する工程、該未硬化の第1ベース層の表面に第2ベース塗料を塗装して未硬化の透光性を有する第2ベース層を形成する工程、該未硬化の第2ベース層の表面にクリヤ塗料を塗装して未硬化の透明クリヤ層を形成する工程、並びに上記未硬化の第1ベース層、未硬化の第2ベース層、および未硬化の透明クリヤ層を同時に加熱硬化する工程を含む積層塗膜の形成方法であって、
上記被塗物が、硬化した電着塗膜を表面に有する自動車の車体又は自動車用内外装品であり、
上記第1ベース塗料が、光輝材、及び分子量が500以上である有機系紫外線吸収剤を含有し、
上記第2ベース塗料が、有機系赤系顔料、及び上記第1ベース塗料の上記紫外線吸収剤と同種の分子量が500以上である有機系紫外線吸収剤を含有することを特徴とする積層塗膜の形成方法。 - 請求項9において、
上記赤系顔料の平均粒径が100nm以下であることを特徴とする積層塗膜の形成方法。 - 請求項9又は請求項10において、
上記赤系顔料がペリレンレッドであることを特徴とする積層塗膜の形成方法。 - 請求項9乃至請求項11のいずれか一において、
上記第2ベース塗料が、粒径が100nm以下である無機系紫外線吸収剤を含有することを特徴とする積層塗膜の形成方法。 - 請求項12において、
上記無機系紫外線吸収剤が、酸化鉄のナノ粒子であることを特徴とする積層塗膜の形成方法。 - 請求項9乃至請求項13のいずれか一において、
上記第1ベース塗料が赤系顔料を含有することを特徴とする積層塗膜の形成方法。
