Abstract
Description
[014] 本発明の一態様によれば、ポリマー管を予め製造された管体に同軸結合させるための方法が提供され、その予め製造された管体は、ポリプロピレンベースの材料の内壁を境界とする前後軸を有する中空の中心の管状通路を定めており、その方法は、以下の工程を含む:
熱可塑性プロピレンベースエラストマー(PBE)材料を含む外側管壁表面ならびに前後軸および対向する端部を有する中心管状通路を有する嵌合ポリマー管を押出し、
管の端部の一方における選択された軸長に沿った嵌合管の外側表面を溶剤で処理し、処理された外側表面が乾燥時に管体の内壁に接着するようにする、
嵌合管の処理された端部を、処理された端部の外側表面が管体の内壁と選択された軸長に沿って嵌合して嵌合した接合部を形成するように、管体の中心管状通路中に同軸で挿入し、
嵌合した接合部を、処理された外側表面が内壁に溶剤結合するように乾燥させる。
[017] 一態様において、PBEは、プロピレンおよびアルファオレフィンのコポリマーまたはブレンドである。

[043] 図1、2を参照して、本発明に従うポリマー管10は、押出可能な熱可塑性プロピレンベースエラストマー(PBE)材料で構成される第1外層12を共押出して押出可能な熱可塑性エチレンベースオレフィン材料で構成される第1内層14の外側表面14aと結合係合させることにより製造される。押出可能なポリマー材料の1以上の追加の中間層または内層19が、場合により所望されるならば、層12、14の材料と一緒に共押出されて層12、14とうまく結合係合して3層以上の管10を形成することができる。あるいは、押出可能な熱可塑性PBE(外層12と同じ材料)の単層管が、図4で示されているように、および下記のように用いられることができる。

[066] 2材料、2層(2M2L)共押出管類標本を、以下の寸法で押出した:0.152インチOD×0.090インチIDおよび全体の壁厚=0.031インチ。PBEの外層は、0.026インチの厚さを有し、エチレンベース材料の内層は、0.005インチの厚さを有していた。当該技術で既知であるように、押出または共押出プロセスは、ポリマー材料(単数または複数)を融解させ、融解した材料(単数または複数)を圧力下で適切なダイヘッドを通して送って管の形状の押出物または共押出物を形成し、次いでそれを従来の水浴または水真空タンクを通して冷却して最終製品を形成することにより実施される。次いで、そのように製造された管類標本を、下記で明記されるような商業的に入手可能なルアーに結合させ、次いで結合強度に関してプルテストした。以下のように試験試料を調製し、利用した試験設備およびパラメーターは以下の通りであった。
1.管試料を8インチに切断し、管の末端を70%イソプロピルアルコールにより洗浄し、風乾させた。
3.管を24時間乾燥させるように設定した後、機械試験を行った(72°F/50%RH)。
1.試験設備クランプを、3インチ離して設定する。
3.管の解放末端を、底部クランプの中心において固定する。
4.プルテストを開始し、管が毎分12インチの速度でルアーから引き出されるまで循環させる(cycle through)。
6.工程1〜5を、それぞれのタイプのルアー/管の組み合わせに関するそれぞれの試料に関して繰り返す(10回)。

- ポリマー管を予め製造された管体に同軸結合させる方法であって、該予め製造された管体が、ポリプロピレンベースの材料の内壁を境界とする前後軸を有する中空の中心の管状通路を定めており、該方法が、以下の工程:
熱可塑性プロピレンベースエラストマー(PBE)材料を含む外側管壁表面ならびに前後軸および対向する端部を有する中心管状通路を有する嵌合ポリマー管を押出し、
該管の端部の一方における選択された軸長に沿った該嵌合管の外側表面を溶剤で処理し、該処理された外側表面が乾燥時に該管体の内壁に接着するようにする、
該嵌合管の処理された端部を、該処理された端部の外側表面が該管体の内壁と選択された軸長に沿って嵌合して嵌合した接合部を形成するように、該管体の中心管状通路中に同軸で挿入し、
該嵌合した接合部を、該処理された外側表面が該内壁に溶剤結合するように乾燥させる;
を含む方法。 - 請求項1に記載の方法であって、該溶剤が、シクロヘキサノン、シクロヘキサン、ヘキサン、キシレン、テトラヒドロフラン(THF)、酢酸エチル(EA)およびメチルエチルケトン(MEK)の1以上から選択される方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法であって、該溶剤が、シクロヘキサン、シクロヘキサノン、キシレン、テトラヒドロフラン、およびヘキサンの1以上から選択される方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法であって、該PBEが、プロピレンおよびアルファオレフィンのコポリマーまたはブレンドである方法。
- 請求項4に記載の方法であって、該PBEが、半結晶性イソタクチックプロピレン区分を有するプロピレン/アルファオレフィンコポリマーである方法。
- 請求項2に記載の方法であって、該PBEが、主に結晶質立体規則性ポリプロピレンである第1ポリマー構成要素(FPC)ならびにC2、C4〜C20アルファオレフィンおよびプロピレンの結晶化可能なコポリマーである第2ポリマー構成要素(SPC)のブレンドである方法。
- 請求項4に記載の方法であって、該アルファオレフィンがエチレンである方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、該管が、ポリエチレン(PE)の層を含む内壁を有する方法。
- 請求項8に記載の方法であって、該内壁のPEが、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、線状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)またはそのブレンドである方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、該押出の工程が、該PBE材料の外側管層を熱可塑性エチレンベースオレフィン材料の少なくとも1つの最も内側の管層と共押出することを含む方法。
- 請求項10に記載の方法であって、該嵌合管の共押出された外層が、少なくとも9重量%のエチレン含有率を有するPBEであり、該嵌合管の最も内側の層が、ポリエチレンである方法。
- 請求項1に記載の方法であって、該管体が、PBE材料の予め製造された体を含む方法。
- 請求項12に記載の方法であって、該管体のPBE材料が、ホモポリマーポリプロピレンまたは主にプロピレン単位およびエチレンのコポリマーである方法。
- 以下:
ポリプロピレンベースの材料の内壁を境界とする前後軸を有する中空の中心管状通路を定める予め製造された管体、
熱可塑性プロピレンベースエラストマー(PBE)材料を含む押出された外側管壁表面を有する押出管であって、該嵌合管が、前後軸および対向する端部を有する中心管状通路を有する押出管;
を含む結合した管組立品であって、
該嵌合管の端部の一方が、該嵌合管の一方の端部の外側表面が該管体の内壁と該嵌合管の選択された軸長に沿って嵌合するように該予め製造された管体の中心管状通路内に同軸で位置しており、
該嵌合した外側表面および内壁が、互いに溶剤結合している管組立品。 - 請求項14に記載の管組立品であって、該押出管が、該PBE材料の外側管層を熱可塑性エチレンベースオレフィン材料の少なくとも1つの最も内側の管層と共に有する共押出管である管組立品。
- 請求項15に記載の管組立品であって、該嵌合管の共押出された外層が、少なくとも9重量%のエチレン含有率を有するPBE材料であり、該嵌合管の最も内側の層が、ポリエチレンである管組立品。
- 請求項14に記載の管組立品であって、該管が、ポリエチレン(PE)の共押出された層を含む中心管状通路を形成する内壁を有する管組立品。
- 請求項15に記載の管組立品であって、該PEが、低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)、線状低密度ポリエチレン(LLDPE)、高密度ポリエチレン(HDPE)またはそのブレンドである管組立品。
- 流体送達部材を該体の中に挿入し、そして該医療用流体を該管を通して該送達部材に送達することを含む、水性もしくは非水性の医薬流体またはその組み合わせを患者に送達する方法であって、該部材が、請求項14に記載の管組立品に流体接続されている方法。
- 請求項14に記載の方法であって、該医薬流体が、以下:
植物油、オレイン酸エチル、プロピレングリコール、ならびに300および400の分子量を有するポリエチレングリコール類からなる群から選択される非水性溶媒;
の1以上を含む方法。 - 請求項14に記載の方法であって、該医薬流体が、以下:
アルコール類、エステル類、エーテル類、アミド類、スルホキシド類およびピロリドン類からなる群から選択される、該患者への注射のための溶剤としての合成および半合成調製物または混合溶剤ベースの流体調製物;
の1以上を含む方法。 - 請求項21に記載の方法であって、該流体調製物が、エチルアルコール;ベンジルアルコール;フェニルエチルアルコール;プロピレングリコール;ブチレングリコール;トリクロロ−t−ブチル;ポリオキシエチレングリコール;エチルエーテル;フェノキシエタノール;酢酸エチル;オレイン酸エチル;安息香酸ベンジル;N−メチルアセトアミド;N,N−ジメチルアセトアミド;ジメチルスルホキシド(DMSO)、およびN−メチル 2−ピロリドン(NMP)からなる群から選択される方法。
