本発明のいくつかの実施形態について、以下の非限定的な実施例を用いてより詳しく説明する。
ミクロフィブリル化セルロースを製造するために、四つの異なる懸濁液試料の均質化処理を実施した。
異なる量のカルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)を含有する水溶液を調製し、また、CMC濃度(g/l)に応じた溶液の電荷(μeq/l)を測定することにより、検量線を作成した。
Claims (19)
- ミクロフィブリル化セルロース懸濁液を製造する方法であって、少なくとも、下記の工程:
−天然セルロース繊維の水性懸濁液を得る工程、
−天然セルロース繊維の懸濁液に、少なくとも1種の天然高分子からなる添加剤を加える工程、
−こうして得た、天然セルロース繊維と添加剤とを含む混合物を均質化装置又は流動化装置へ供給する工程、及び
−ミクロフィブリル化セルロース懸濁液を得る工程
を含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 天然高分子が、天然セルロース繊維の水性懸濁液に、全乾燥固形分の質量から計算して2〜75質量%、好ましくは5〜60質量%、より好ましくは7〜50質量%、一層より好ましくは10〜30質量%の量添加されることとなる量で、該添加剤を加えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 天然高分子が、天然セルロース繊維の水性懸濁液に、天然セルロース繊維の懸濁液の全乾燥固形分の質量から計算して15〜75質量%、好ましくは17〜60質量%、より好ましくは20〜50質量%、一層より好ましくは23〜30質量%の量添加されることとなる量で、該添加剤を加えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 該添加剤が、2種以上の異なる天然高分子を含んでいてもよいことを特徴とする請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 該添加剤が、カルボキシメチルセルロース(CMC)、メチルセルロース、ヒドロキシプロピルセルロース、デンプン、カラギーナン、ローカストビーンガム、タマリンドガム、キトサン、キチン、グアーガム、セルロース誘導体、例えば、ナノフィブリル化セルロース、及びこれらの混合物のいずれかから選択した、少なくとも1種の天然高分子からなるものであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 該添加剤がデンプン及び/又はカルボキシメチルセルロースを含むものであることを特徴とする請求項5に記載の方法。
- 該添加剤を、製造したミクロフィブリル化セルロース懸濁液から除去することを特徴とする請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 天然セルロース繊維と添加剤との混合物を、乾燥固形分として計算して1〜50質量%、好ましくは1〜30質量%、より好ましくは2〜20質量%、一層より好ましくは3〜15質量%の供給濃度で均質化装置又は流動化装置へ供給することを特徴とする請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 該天然セルロース繊維が広葉樹に由来するものであることを特徴とする請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 該天然セルロース繊維が、漂白又は未漂白であり、かつ、カバノキ繊維、ユーカリ繊維、アカシア繊維、アスペン繊維、ポプラ繊維、ニセアカシア繊維、メープル繊維、又はこれらの混合物から選択したものであり、好ましくは、漂白したカバノキ繊維であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の方法。
- 該添加剤を天然セルロース繊維の懸濁液に160℃未満、好ましくは80℃未満、より好ましくは60℃未満の温度で、一層より好ましくは15〜35℃の範囲の温度で加えることを特徴とする請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 添加剤を天然セルロース繊維の懸濁液に加えた後、直接、均質化装置又は流動化装置へ天然セルロース繊維と添加剤との混合物を供給することを特徴とする請求項1〜11のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 添加剤を天然セルロース繊維の懸濁液に加えてから、天然セルロース繊維と添加剤との混合物を均質化装置又は流動化装置へ供給するまでの時間が、1500分未満、好ましくは30分未満、より好ましくは15分未満、一層より好ましくは5分未満であることを特徴とする請求項12に記載の方法。
- 均質化又は流動化を圧力差の影響下で行うことを特徴とする請求項1〜13のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 該天然セルロース繊維の水性懸濁液が有機液体を含まないものであることを特徴とする請求項1〜14のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 請求項1〜15のいずれか一項に記載の方法により得たミクロフィブリル化セルロース。
- 乾燥固形分として計算して1〜50質量%、好ましくは1〜30質量%、より好ましくは2〜20質量%、一層より好ましくは3〜15質量%の範囲の固形分含有量を有し、かつ、安定したゲルの形態にあることを特徴とする請求項16に記載のミクロフィブリル化セルロース。
- 石油掘削及び採掘用途に、食品製造に、食品に、化粧品に、及び/又は、医薬品に請求項16又は17に記載のミクロフィブリル化セルロースを使用する方法。
- レオロジー制御に、構造用途に、及び/又はパルプ及び紙製品の製造に請求項16又は17に記載のミクロフィブリル化セルロースを使用する方法。
