Abstract
Description
説明、実施例、および請求の範囲において以下の試験方法を使用して、様々な報告される特性および性質を定量した。
ポリエチレンの結晶化度が以下の手順に従ってX線分析を使用して測定された。
フラッシュ紡糸プレキシフィラメント状ウェブを1ガロンのフラッシュ紡糸実験装置で生成する。ここで使用される1ガロン容量のフラッシュ紡糸装置は、米国特許第5.147,586号明細書に記載される50ccユニットを大きくした変型である。装置は、油圧ポンプによってチャンバの内容物に圧力を加えるようにされているピストンを各々備えた、2つの高圧円筒形チャンバからなった。円筒は各々、1ガロンの内部容量を有した。円筒は、スタティックミキサーを有するチャネルによって一方の端部に互いに接続された。ピストンは、油圧系統によって供給される高圧油によって動かされた。円筒のうちの1つの出力が、紡糸口金装置を他方の端部に有するチャンバに結合された。2つの円筒が、所望の紡糸温度と同様な温度に加熱される。ポリマーが1つの円筒に入れられる。その後に真空を円筒に引く。所望のポリマー濃度をもたらすために。紡糸剤を高圧ポンプによって添加する。次に、ポリマーと紡糸剤をタイプJ熱電対によって測定される所望の混合温度に加熱し、60〜120分間典型的にその温度に保持した。加熱する間ピストンを用いて2つの円筒の間に差圧を代わりに形成した。この処置が、ポリマーと紡糸剤を混合チャネルを通って一方の円筒から他方の円筒に繰り返し圧入して混合をもたらし、紡糸流体を形成した。混合後そして紡糸の直前に、内容物を完全に一方の円筒内に置くため、他のピストンをその円筒の上に移動させた。その後に弁を開けて紡糸流体を紡糸口金のチャンバ開口に誘導する。窒素パージされたステンレス鋼筐体内の移動Reemay(登録商標)被覆ベルト上にフラッシュ紡糸プレキシフィラメント状ウェブをバッフルによって誘導して、プレキシフィラメント状ウェブを集める。
ジクロロメタンは、Brenntag Northeast,81 W.Huller Lane,Reading,PA 19605,United statesからの工業銘柄純度であり、受入れたまま使用される。ジクロロメタンはCAS Nr.75−09−2を有する。ジクロロメタンはまた、塩化メチレンとしても公知である。

表1は、実施例の紡糸条件を記載し、表2は、実施例について得られた性質を記載する。
Claims (9)
- 55%以下の全結晶化度を有する繊維を含むフラッシュ紡糸プレキシフィラメント状繊維ストランド。
- 12m2/g以下のBET表面積、0.9mm/g以上の圧潰値を有する、請求項1に記載のフラッシュ紡糸プレキシフィラメント状繊維ストランド。
- ポリエチレンから形成される繊維を主に含む、請求項2に記載のフラッシュ紡糸プレキシフィラメント状繊維ストランド。
- 前記繊維が52%以下の全結晶化度を有する、請求項3に記載の繊維ストランド。
- 前記繊維が、X線特性解析によって測定された時に単斜晶および直方晶構造を有し、前記単斜晶構造の結晶化度が1%以上である、請求項3に記載の繊維ストランド。
- 請求項1に記載の繊維ストランドから製造される固化されたシート。
- 少なくとも1つのシートが請求項6に記載のシートである、2つ以上の複数のシートまたはストランドを含む多層構造物。
- 請求項1に記載の繊維ストランドから製造される熱によりまたは機械的に固化されたシート。
- 少なくとも1つのシートが請求項8に記載のシートである、2つ以上の複数のシートまたはストランドを含む多層構造物。
