Abstract
Description

光漂白剤
処理組成物100は、光活性漂白剤である光活性成分を含み得る。例えば、好適な光活性漂白剤は、二酸化チタンであり得る。約380nm〜約800nmの可視スペクトルにおける放射線は、光漂白のために二酸化チタンを活性化させることができる。また、二酸化チタンは、約10nm〜約1200nmの波長を有する放射線が照射されたとき、光漂白剤としても機能し得る。紫外スペクトルにおける放射線は、人体曝露の問題の可能性があるので、それほど魅力的ではない可能性がある。
処理組成物110は、光活性剤である光活性成分を含み得る。光活性剤は、光活性部分及び親水性部分を含み得る。光活性剤は、約35重量%未満の光活性部分を含み得る。光活性剤は、約350nm〜約750nm、好ましくは約350nm〜約420nmの吸収帯を有し得る。

光活性成分は、基材の清浄化及び/又は処理において使用することができる。基材は、食器類若しくは洗濯物、又は他の材料であってよい。基材を処理する方法は、光活性成分を含む処理組成物100を提供する工程と;処理組成物と基材とを装置内で接触させる工程と、処理組成物に可視光を照射する工程とを含む。光活性成分は、光活性剤であってよい。
また、基材を処理するためのキットも望ましい場合がある。図8に示す通り、電源40及び電源40に導電接続される光源20を含む照明筐体60と、光活性成分、例えば、光活性剤を含む光触媒性処理組成物100を収容する容器200とを含むキット190を提供することが実用的であり得る。照明筐体60及び容器200は、図8に示す通り、互いに同梱されてもよい。磁石160は、照明筐体60に動作可能に接続され得る。食器洗浄機310又は洗濯機400用の用途では、磁石を用いて照明筐体60を装置300の内部330に取り付けることができる。あるいは、照明筐体60は、自動食器洗浄機310の内部330に照明筐体60を取り付けるために磁石160又は他の構造を備える必要はない。照明筐体60は、自動食器洗浄機310の床360、若しくはラック170、又はラック170における食器を保持するためのポケットに、消費者によって設置され得る。

- 食器類を処理する方法であって、
光活性成分を含む処理組成物を提供する工程と、
前記処理組成物と前記食器類とを装置内で接触させる工程と、
前記処理組成物に可視光を照射する工程と、

前記処理組成物に可視光を照射する工程が、前記装置に工具不要で挿入可能かつ取り外し可能な光源を用いて実施される、方法。 - 前記光活性成分が、光活性剤である、請求項1に記載の方法。
